Brian communicated well with me and i was able to get an appointment. He was very nice and understanding when i mentioned that i was a bit nervous. He told me when to breathe in and breathe out, and i am sure this was the reason why the piercing did not hurt. I give the pain a five out of 10 and it hurt less than my second lobe piercing. I payed $60 in total which included my change to a gold bar. i went back after the swelling went down and Brian changed my bar to a shorter one. (I paid $75 for the piercing and jewelry.) I was a little nervous as I don't remember getting my first piercings done since I was a kid at the time. Lisa (and the other gal who was there, wasn't able to catch her name) were both super nice and funny. Lisa guided me to breathe as she was doing the piercings and I really couldn't have asked for a better experience. She made sure to line them up in a way that would look good since my first piercings are the tiniest bit lopsided. Once I got into the room my piercer was friendly and very thorough. My previous piercing was not even on both sides and he took the time to show me several placements for my second hole to create the look I wanted. He walked me through some breathing exercises to preform to help decrease the pain. Before my visit I checked out the website which included the cost of the piercing ($80) for a second hole. Additionally, the website mentioned walk ins are welcome from Thursday - Sunday. My only complain about this shop was the lack of transparency on cost. Personally, I'm someone who prefers everything to be clearly listed black and white so I can review the information and make informed decisions without feeling pressured. At this shop, you need to ask about the price of each individual piece, which can be a little uncomfortable. I asked for quotes on a few jewelry options, and when I made my selection, I was told the jewelry would cost $30 but it ended up being $28 per piece, which came out to $56 for both ears. There was also a $36 charge for two titanium threadless labret posts (the backing, I believe), which I hadn't anticipated. On top of that, I was charged $10 for saline spray for aftercare, something that wasn't mentioned beforehand. In my head, I was estimating around $150 total, factoring in the $80 listed for the piercing and some variable jewelry cost. So walking out with a $211 bill was a bit of a surprise. I really wish the full breakdown, especially the add ons, was made more transparent either online or displayed clearly in the shop to avoid that kind of sticker shock. With that said, I'm very happy with my piercing and the overall experience. The staff was professional and kind, and the shop was clean and clearly run with care. I plan on coming back for future piercings and recommend it to others.
