Great shop. I made an impulse decision over the hill one day after wine tasting to get my eyebrow and conch pierced. But this shop has helped me through the healing process and has great customer service. Professional and helpful even though they didn't do my actual piercing. Had to get a MRI yesterday and struggled to get the jewelry out and they helped remove them without an appt and then helped get them back in the next day as well. read more

I had a tragus piercing which fell out twice over ~2months. The first time I bought an Amazon replacement jewelry and had a friend put it in and within 2 weeks it fell out again. Tried to call ahead to this place because I saw on their website "appointment recommended" and nobody answered. Took a risk and showed up in person hoping to walk in (husband and 2 toddlers in the car) and they took me after a ~5 min wait. Beautiful, clean spot and they were super friendly and replaced my jewelry within another 5 minutes. I would never recommend this shop. The pricing is incredibly misleading. They don't clearly explain what you're being charged for before taking your payment, and by the time you realize the total, it's much higher than expected. When I asked for a breakdown of the charges, I didn't get a clear explanation, which made the whole experience feel dishonest. If you're going to charge premium prices, you should be transparent about every fee and make sure customers know exactly what they're paying for before the transaction is completed. There are plenty of piercing shops that are upfront about their pricing and treat customers with respect. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else. read more

I went in for a nostril piercing with a group of friends who had just got their piercings done at a different shop that didn't have time to fit me in for a last-minute piercing. We went to midtown tattoo & piercings I was assisted/ pierced by Mason. I was looking at the different studs, and my friend made a joke saying to get the one with the biggest gem. Mason smiled and said "I wouldn't let you get the biggest one" (REMEMBER THIS COMMENT) When it was time to get pierced, he just stood there and stared until my friend asked if he was ready and he replied he was. My friend had asked me if i wanted to record the process since this was my first facial piercing and he rudely said "you're not allowed to record in here" weirdly enough in the contract it asked for me to give consent for them to take pictures and videos for social media (mind you cannot opt out for this along with being forced the pay their attorney fee if you sue them for any complications for the piercing). I laid down on the chair as he "explained" the process of the what was going to happen. He got a wipe and said " sorry i haft to take off this cute makeup" which made me feel a little uncomfortable. He began to clean the outside of my nose. Then he shoved his fingers deeper than necessary inside my nostril with the same wipe that had taken my makeup off with. He then says " now that you're clean im going to put a dot then pierce you" I noticed his hands were shaky as he put the dot on my nose. He had me look at it and i said it was fine and he continued. He went to the counter and grabbed a needle and walked back to me then said " close your eyes i will tell you when to breathe in and breathe out". Mind you he didn't put anything inside of my nose to catch then end of the needle. My eyes were closed and i could feel him rest the point of the needle on my nose and i could feel his hands shaking. He put the needle through my nose VERY SLOWLY with no count down just a barely audible whisper of "breathe in" (NOTE: my friend in the room with me couldn't even hear him say it and she was standing right next to us) I could feel the cold of the needle resting on my face cause he LEFT IN MY NOSE as he went back to the counter to grab the stud. I tried my best to stay as still as possible to prevent the end of the needle from pocking my upper lip. He finally came back and said, " you might feel a little tightness." he slowly pulled the rest of the needle through my nose, and it felt like it was stretching. after putting the gem in he went back to the counter again then attached the flat back part to the gem. My eyes were watering from the pain, and he said in a passive aggressive tone "why are you crying?" i just laughed it off feeling awkward. Afterwards he just told me to wash it two times a day and not to play with it not giving any specific detail but thankfully i checked my email and saw they sent me a list with piercing protocols for all different kinds of piercings that i don't get done other than the nostril piercing (they did not tell me i would be receiving a email with information about my aftercare) . He turned the card reader over to me then walked away but did not extend it across the wide counter and i had to lean over the counter to pay. The entire interaction felt strange to me since the piercers from the other shop were more friendly and thorough with the piercing steps and after care. My piercing was throbbing after we left and still is hours after. My friends were looking at my piercing and noticed my bar is a little larger than theirs. The receipt says its a 16-gauge bar. now I'm understanding what he meant when he said he wouldn't let me get the biggest one since I thought he was just talking about the gem and not the bar size which he claimed 16 gauge was the second size up from the smallest (I wouldn't have got the jewelry that i did had i known how thick it was. He also never showed me the bar size or the jewelry up close before piercing me with it). Ironically now I have the biggest gauge out of all of my friends and the pain is radiating through my nose. lastly, I kindly tipped him 20% since he let me do a walk in and in parenthesis it said $5.90 but when i got back home and checked it said i had tipped him $20.40 not 5.90. He also didn't break down anything about payment at all. I highly suggest NOT going here and finding any other piercing shop (highly recommend the other shop that i should've made a appointment with for the next day called Amory body arts) and if you do go here, get a receipt and thoroughly read the contract you'll understand my frustration. read more

My friends and I were initially so excited to come here for a bachelorette party. The bride booked our appointments for us, and we were all aware that if we canceled within 3 days of the appointment, there would be a cancellation fee of $65. We all went in extremely excited, only for it to be squashed from their hidden fees, which are NOT talked about when you book your appointment. When booking, our party was quoted $45 for a helix piercing. Turns out it's $90 without a tip. Most of us were nervous because we could not afford it; we had part-time jobs and had to budget for this trip. The contracted guest piercer, Mac, was extremely friendly and made us feel comfortable. Mac told us we could cancel without a fee, and we were all so relieved. The bride and maid of honor proceeded to get their piercings while the rest of the party had to cancel. We tipped Mac out of pocket because he was very sweet and accommodating.  Later in the night, a couple of the girls and I received a receipt and a $65 charge on our cards from Midtown Tattoo and Piercing. Thinking that it was a mistake, I contacted the parlor. Management was incredibly passive-aggressive when we asked why our account was charged and told us that we would be charged even though their staff said we wouldn't. Reasonably upset because their hired staff told us we would not be charged, I left a one-star review.  Imagine my surprise when the bride and I received several texts harassing us to take down the review five minutes after I posted it. They harassed the bride to the point where she had to block them when she got a piercing. They told her they would give her champagne at the appointment (they did not) and how rude it was to state our opinion. I have every right to leave a review because they have an impact. I have never in my life seen such nasty customer service. The audacity and entitlement to try to guilt trip us into changing our review is a reflection of the type of business they choose to run. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience, and I am incredibly disappointed. Do not recommend Midtown Tattoo & Piercing. I highly recommend Mac Jones, though. read more

Just got the cutest septum piercing from Mason! I wanted one from the get go, but a group of us walked in late for fun and he gave us his honest professional opinion on what piercings worked best given our facial features since as we bombarded him with questions. Once we got into the back for the piercing, he walked me through the entire process, letting me know when he'd be touching my skin and when I'd expect the needle. I love my piercing!! My review is for Alix who did my eyebrows. She is absolutely amazing!!!! Truly, she is beyond gifted! My eyebrows went from over-plucked 90s style to full, natural-looking brows. I have strangers complimenting my brows all the time! They cannot believe they are not my natural brows. I have been going to Alix for years. She is very detailed, professional, and just an amazing human being. I wouldn't trust anybody else with my brows! My eyebrows last and don't fade (I do care for them very well too). Today I had 2 earlobe piercings done by visiting Piercer Jinx. I was a walk-in, and was able to have my appointment very shortly after signing in. The space is super clean and inviting. Jinx was wonderful, he explained everything, sanitized the chair and walked me through the steps to making sure I liked the placement of the piercings, then sanitized my ears and got on with the piercing and explained the aftercare. Fossyl is amazing! The last time I came in, they cleaned my helix piercing (done by another piercer) and gave me detailed advice on how to care for it--so helpful and thorough. This time, I came in to switch out my helix earring, and Fossyl was just as incredible. Amazing experience! James made the process getting my bellybutton and Marilyn Monroe piercing so easy breezy.. the piercings were honestly so easy and almost painless. I could tell he really knew what he was doing, was very methodical, clean, professional, and open about pricing. He took his time to make sure I got what I wanted/needed, no rushing, and overall just made me feel very comfortable and at ease through the whole experience. At first I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get the bellybutton piercing on the same day, but after such a painless and easy experience with the Monroe piercing, I was super confident getting the bellybutton afterwards, and I'm so happy that it was just as easy as the first piercing! Plus there was no pressuring to get the se one done done, even after he'd prepped for it. I let him know I wasn't sure if I'd be confident enough after the first one to get the bellybutton after, and he was completely okay with letting me back out of the second if I wanted to. 10/10 experience. We recently visited this studio for the first time as my 13 year old daughter asked for a nose piercing for Christmas. Fawn was amazing, and took great care of my daughter, who was a little nervous. JFC, this is the absolute best tattooing experience I've ever had. Talula, the utter and complete angel, was so calm and open to listen to my ideas about what tattoos I wanted to get, and prepped everything in advance of my arrival. When I arrived, they treated me with care, respect and humbleness, which made the whole needle-jabbing-into-skin that much more pleasant. It was like getting time with an old friend, although we were relative strangers at that point! Unfortunately, my piercing is crooked. Didn't really notice until the swelling went down and it became more obvious. Still love it, but wish it was straighter. Also, wish they had more selection on jewelry for certain piercings. I was so happy to go somewhere else and pick out something I actually liked after the swelling went down. Update: after I gave a three star review on google of my experience, the shop reached out to me on social media. They found my Instagram page and begin to send me messages asking me to remove my review. I consider this very unprofessional, and it started stepping into harassment when I asked them to stop messaging me. They even said that I was doing a"Karen move" for expressing my experience. They try to blame me for my piercing being crooked, saying that I didn't change it out soon enough even though I went to another professional and had it looked at and changed on time. My experience today was so bad that I would never recommend this place to anyone due to the unprofessionalism. They even try to bribe me with a refund to give him a better review or to takeoff my review without me provoking or asking for one. I would not trust their Google reviews as they try to bribe people with free piercing cleaning solution for their piercings for good reviews. They even went into vanish mode after I asked them to stop messaging me. read more

This place is terrible. Charged me $400 for earrings and a swap but never showed me a detailed breakdown of what that even included. My fault I guess for handing them my card after they told me the earring I picked was $160. Again they DID NOT PIERCE ME. they only swapped the flat backs I had in for a new set I bought there because I have sensitive ears. When I asked the girl for clarification on why it was so much she just got anxious and said the $160 was per earring (which I asked if it was even actually diamonds and she said yes. Then charged my card. Then said oh no they're actually cubic zirconia (?)) she then said "oops I charged you for a tattoo fee" and then poked around and avoided me then took another client back. I'm still so livid about the whole thing. I got so scammed. I should have asked for management but the girl was on the brink of tears when she realized she messed up. I was not at all mean just confused. I never raised my voice or said anything more than "wait why is it so much? Can I get a break down". I'm mad at myself for being such a pushover. read more

Not sure if this is the same owner now, it was a while back, but the person I dealt with, who I think was the owner at the time, was too busy smoking and flirting with someone to give me 5 min of his time and was so incredibly rude and dismissive to me I left feeling absolutely humiliated. Will never go there, I get a pit in my stomach still every time I walk past it. It's not worth my energy to go into details, but will do so if anyone asks and will tell anyone considering this place to go somewhere where they are kind and don't judge people based on appearance which seemed to be the case with me.
