Very impressed with everything at this restaurant! From the food to the service, everything was 5 stars!! We started with the fried cheese which is some of the best I've ever had. I had the Ceaser salad and half a steak sandwich. Even the half size portions were way too much food!! My husband and son each had a calzone and they both said they were awesome!! My 6year old daughter had the "Pretty Please MAC and cheese" (love the name!) and it was superb!! We ended the meal with a cannoli and the tiramisu. The perfect ending to a perfect meal. We are so glad we stopped at this spot after finding it on Yelp. We will definitely be back when we come back through Grenada! read more

I have been going to Grenada, Mississippi my whole life, since it is where my parents grew up and I still have relatives there today. There was hardly anything in Grenada during my childhood... a Kentucky Fried Chicken & a Piggly Wiggly is really all I can remember! When they got their walmart, it was a big deal! Anyway, this time we went, we were amazed at how much they have now... including this precious little restaurant. Carmella's Ristorante was absolutely wonderful. We had fried ravioli for an appetizer, and let me tell you - it was fantastic. I got a side salad which in my opinion had way too much dressing... next time I'd get it on the side. But that is my only complaint, and it's not that big of an issue. I got an 8-inch pizza, and it was delish! My mom said her lasagna was the best she'd ever had. Everyone at the table was pleased. Everything looked fresh and delicious! One of the best things is that the service was outstanding. We had the nicest lady as our waiter. She was so sweet! She was quick to refill my water before it was even empty. P.S. They don't serve wine but allow you to bring your own. Which we did! They provided the wine glasses & corkscrew. I regret not taking pictures...unusual for me! I'll blame it on traveling all day & catching up with relatives I haven't seen in awhile! Next time for sure! read more

Sicilian calzone was excellent. Prices are extremely reasonable. Tiramisu was light and flavorful. Only negative is that they were out of Peroni, but did have other beers. They do not serve wine. read more

This was a delightful little Italian place just off the Interstate. We were traveling on our way home from New Orleans. My Calzone was so delicious and so big I took half home for later. Fried cheese is great, I had a calzone. Great service. The it menu is jam packed with options there is definitely something for everyone.

3 star at best. Italian salad dressing was so sour I couldn't eat my salad. Tortellini Alfredo was decent. Garlic knots were good but floating in butter. My husband had the meat lovers pizza also decent. Place is not the cleanest. Waitress was sloppy looking but friendly. Bathrooms are disgusting. What a wonderful experience! We stopped for a quick meal; traveling and wanted to try a local restaurant. We were greeted by Ashley, the owner, invited to sit wherever we wanted and introduced to Amanda, who made some great recommendations. Our meal was fresh, everything was homemade, the bread, sauce and the salad dressing. Ashley created a maple balsamic so they brought that out with my salad along with the Italian I ordered "in case you'd like to try it to see what you think". It was wonderful! My lasagne had lots of sauce, cheese and was delicious. Husband loved his Calzone, stuffed with meat and homemade bread. I wish we lived closer, we would be regulars. Great food and we were treated like family right down to sending us off with a couple desserts to eat once we get to our hotel! read more

Wow. Absolutely, wow. An amazing spot. The prices are terrific, especially for the food to be so fresh and made from scratch. I'll never claim to be a connoisseur of Italian fare, but this place has the best fried cheese and pizza I've had in MS, AL, and TN. I had the inferno pizza and it hit the spot. They are a little Italian place with the perfect setting for dinner. Calzone was scrumptious. Had a little 8" cheese pizza with A $5 bowl of spaghetti. We were only passing thru and stayed at a local hotel. I found them on Google with a 4.7 rating and had to try it. My hubby is Italian. It was damn good. read more

The staff wAs rude. Cooks and waitresses sat in the front the entire time and complained about their employer not paying them on time. They also used fowl language without any regard. Made the experience extremely awkward. I ordered the Chicken fettuccini Alfredo. The chicken was 4 dollars extra, Which is fine. However, I felt like I was extremely shorted in that the chicken was almost non existent. I also ordered the garlic knots. They were stale and chewy and I feel like they had been reheated over and over. Like they were either not wanting to waste or maybe too lazy to make new ones? I don't know. There are lots of other good places to eat in Grenada so I would probably pass on this place if you can help it. read more

I cannot believe I have lived in Grenada 6 years and just got hooked on this place. They have the best italian food anywhere. The lasagna is to die for and the spaghetti and meatballs beats Olive Garden by a mile, as does the Eggplant Parm. One reviewer complained about their italian dressing. I admit that is true. It is not good and sour but their other dressings are outstanding. My husband had Thousand Island and it was homemade and wonderful....now I know what to get on my salad next time. Same with the Ranch on my sons salad. The sauce they use is incredible. It has a great taste and they are generous with it...The prices are great too..and get the garlic knots...they are amazing. Don't sit in the restaurant..sit in the mall area near the fountain, so relaxing.....lots of tables out there.... read more

Great menu from pasta to pizza to subs to calzones. We eat here often (once-twice/month) and it's a lot of fun to order. We usually get a pizza for the middle of the table with a couple of appetizers, then everyone orders their own entree. Don't worry about price because the serving sizes are great. No doubt you will be going home with enough food for another meal. Sometimes a longer wait time of busy but other than that it is one of my favorites. read more

We had dinner here as we were passing through, and our meal was excellent. My friend had spaghetti and meatballs and I had ravioli Florentine. Even with our drinks ( iced tea and beer), our check was under $22.00. Very nice waiter, too. He helped us package up our leftovers and even offered foil for the bread and a bag for the whole works. PROs -VERY PLEASANT WAIT STAFF! -Tasty calzones / crust is thin and airy -Tasty subs -Good salads, especially the Greek salad -Relaxing "sidewalk cafe" atmosphere -One of only two restaurants in Grenada that I can think of that actually is clean enough to earn an "A" from the Mississippi Department of Health! Cons -VERY SKIMPY on veggies in calzones / on pizzas -DOES NOT OFFER a true thin crust pizza. The best they can do is to use a 12" sandwich wrap tortilla instead. -CHARGES $1.00 PER SANDWICH just to PRESS DOWN on your sub with a panini press. They justify the surcharge by saying that they have to sauté ingredients first and add extra cheese so it doesn't fall apart. I've had my share of panini sandwiches, and I've NEVER encountered a restaurant that charges extra for the press. When I asked what the price would be just to make the sandwich normally and flatten it (no appreciable extra work, and no extra cheese), the answer was still $1.00 per sandwich. -CHARGES $0.75 for an ounce or two of marinara or Alfredo sauce. I don't actually mind paying a little extra for an extra serving of marinara (avoid the thin Alfredo), but $0.75 is ridiculous. They must make gallons of the stuff every day. 25¢ would be about right. I'm glad the place isn't packed all the time, because it could be if they fixed the Cons identified above. With a little imagination and a little less greed, this would easily be a 4-star restaurant. (Why not 5? Because none aspire to be that good in Grenada. At least, not yet.) read more
