Came here for the first time today, paid $14.45 for a hoagie that barley had any meat on it. I did ask for extra lettuce but they put wayyyy tooo much. Has a weird taste to it to. I'm not sure what has happened but this is not the Carmens I've been eating for the last 20 years or so. I know this isn't original location but the quality was the same and much closer to home. This was my second visit in a row where the meat was cut so thick that I couldn't bite through it easily. I had to bite it and rip it off. The meat is usually sliced much thinner and piled on quite nicely. It didn't taste like good quality lunch meat either. The vegetables weren't as fresh as they usually are. The hoagie just wasn't good. I never thought I'd say that about a Carmens hoagie. The staff was courteous and helpful but that only goes so far when the ingredients arent right. Gloves were not changed between slicing deli meat and answering the phone or touching anything else. And was annoyed when I asked her to change them. Top it all off she forgot to give me part of my order and when addressed, she shrugged her shoulders and said said they were busy. I wasn't willing to stand in line again. Deli sandwiches done right. Break is soft meats are fresh and stacked high. Topped the way you like(at extra cost) but they get it done and stick to what they know and that's a great sandwich. read more

Welcome to Carmen's Deli! The staff is so friendly and kind. I have been in several times and they are consistently welcoming. The hoagies are fresh. Be sure that you ask specifically for what you wish to have on the hoagie. Pickles and hot peppers are readily available on the side as well. I heard someone ask for hoagie pepper spread---so I will ask for that next time, too. The french fries are "coated," so if that is not something you like, just a heads-up. When Stratford location opened, it was great! Now it's not the same at all. I always order hoagies but here lately they are not very good. They've cut back on meat & overload with lettuce & onions. They put so many onions on them that it takes away from the flavor. More bread than anything. They are pricey for what you get. At the very least, and if they are going to raise their prices, give good quality & amount. I'm going to try the original location in Bellmawr to see if they are better. Grew up hearing about this place and how great the hoagies are. I read how they owner sold but trained the new owners how they made their food. Idk what happened but it was young people working. We were the only 2 people in the place and no mayo was put on either mini hoagie. Sucks when your out fishing and not at home, we were stuck with dry hoagies. Not a lot of meat or cheese, less then any average hoagie. I'll stick to Deterdings, better, bigger, and cheaper. read more

I hesitated on the 2 stars because the food is fantastic. Their hoagies are huge, and their cheesesteaks are fantastic. However, I will not be going back until after the pandemic is over. There were four people working, one older woman who was properly masked at the cash register, and three younger people behind the counter. All three of them had masks, but not a single one was wearing them properly. All three had them below the nose, and the young woman who came over and took my order had it below her mouth as well. As they were working, they would pull the masks down completely. In other words, if you're looking for a safe place to get takeout food during the pandemic, Carmen's is *not* the place to go. read more

awful! The rolls are garbage. I don't know what happened here but it just sucks. 5 yrs ago it was okay, but now completely horrible. I've been coming here over 25 yrs. Never ever again, not even if it was free. Their cheesesteaks now suck all fatty . hoagies are tasteless. Im done! I blame myself for trying them again recently. I should've never went back! Their not cheap either. $50 easy on a few sandwiches, and for them to all suck, it's just unacceptable. Their sodas and chips are the only thing they sell that's not crappy! thats it, done. Bellmawr location. Your staff blames the roll, for them tasting different,because of the bakery your currently using, I don't agree, you can only blame Delbuono's for so much. We found Carmen's when Covid-19 as a place to get hoagie while we were in quarantine. The hoagies were great! Good amount of toppings, good meat quality, and good bread. What you want for a hoagie. When we ordered the second time we looked through the menu and saw there hot sandwiches. Oh boy were those good. I hate a dry cheesesteak but Carmen's puts a good amount of cheese. There toast pork is good. There chicken is good. Even there fries are good. I will continue to go here again and again! read more

First time customer, shopping local, ordered a cheese steak extra fried onions of course. It was the best I have had in a longtime. The roll was very fresh and good amount of cheese and the steak had great flavor and very moist, The staff was very friendly. The only counsel is if you do not like black pepper, tell them to go easy with it. I will see on my next one as I definitely plan to be a repeat customer now. Highly recommend. read more

Ordered lunch meat and asked for salami to be sliced very very thin . When I got home and opened up it was as thick as pork roll! Nobody ate and it went in trash .
