I understood the commitment and chose to move forward because of the convenience of the location near my home. Unfortunately, my experience as a member has been disappointing from the start. Getting basic information has been exhausting -- phone calls go unanswered, emails don't go through, and when I finally reached someone, I was told the club is somehow "separate" from the swim team while also connected to it. Most of what I've learned has come from navigating the website myself or asking other swim team parents, who have honestly been more helpful than the staff. Communication overall has been poor. I constantly receive emails asking for donations and fundraising support for facility renovations, yet Imsomehow important weekly updates and member information emails don't come through. For the cost, the value also feels questionable. Membership dues are higher than many gym memberships, yet the amenities are limited to a pool, and tennis courts. On top of monthly dues, I was still required to pay separately for my daughter to attend a school field trip hosted at the club. The atmosphere also feels very exclusive and cliquish. Many of the board members appear to be friends, family, or married to one another. I was sold on the idea of joining a welcoming "community," but I have not felt welcomed at all. Whenever concerns are raised, the response is usually "I'm new" or "we have a new system," with very little effort made to actually address or resolve the issues. Overall, this has not been the positive community experience that was promised.

It's one of the few places where my kids can safely run free, make lifelong friends, and spend their summers outdoors. The swim team is absolutely fantastic, with dedicated coaches who help swimmers of all abilities grow in confidence, teamwork, and skill. If you're looking for a welcoming, family-oriented club where everyone knows your name, Glen Oaks is hard to beat.

They're young, but they are SO attentive and constantly watching the pool. You can really tell they're well-trained and take their job seriously. As a parent, it makes you feel a lot more comfortable knowing they're actually paying attention and keeping an eye on everything. Another big plus is that you can have a birthday party or small celebration there. You can bring your own pizza, food, cake, etc., and enjoy your celebration without having to deal with extra fees or complicated rules about bringing your own food. That's honestly so convenient for kids' parties! The only thing I'd mention as a small downside is that the water in the kids' area can be pretty cold. Especially when it's not super hot outside, it's not very comfortable for kids to stay in the water for a long time. The water in the main lap pool, though, feels perfectly comfortable for swimming. Other than that, we've had a great experience and will definitely be back!

Photos on their website are deceiving. I had been considering getting a membership here for quite some time and finally made the trek out there. Sadly will not be coming back. I think with just a little overhaul this location could really be an amazing place. Lap swim in the evenings are tough during the week as classes and lessons take lane priority.

This is a private, membership-based pool with an 8-lane, 25-meter setup. The water temperature and quality are consistently perfect, which makes every swim enjoyable. The facility is well-maintained and clean. The pool itself is spotless, the lockers were recently upgraded, and the shower area is always kept in great condition. It's clear that they prioritize upkeep, which I really appreciate. The staff here are always friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. That said, this is very much a swimmer's pool--designed for lap swimming and training rather than recreational use or family playtime. While they do have some equipment available for use, most swimmers bring their own gear. One of my favorite aspects is how uncrowded it is when I go early in the morning. I usually get a lane to myself, which is such a luxury compared to other pools. The membership fees are very reasonable for what you get--especially considering the quality of the facilities and the experience. If you're looking for a pool geared toward training or serious lap swimming, I highly recommend The Swimstitute. It's not designed for wading or casual recreation, but if you're a swimmer, this place is perfect!
