The rumor was true...and they had most of their staple teas and juice cocktail drinks to choose from! Being the first time in a WinCo store, I was impressed by the size of the place and the name-brand selections they carry for some items. The aisles were wide and easy to navigate. What was supposed to be a quick grab and go of beverages turned into 45 minutes of shopping for many items. They have fresh-cut meats and fresh-caught seafood in the back of the store. Their frozen food section was also quite large compared to standard grocery stores. They carry fresh produce as well! On the way out, there was a large sign saying this is an employee-owned company. That's pretty neat I'm not handing my money to a large faceless corporation, but to a consortium of employees. WinCo may become a once a month or once a quarter stop to restock some of our family favorites!

The staff doesn't just do their jobs, they do them with a level of patience and genuine kindness that you don't forget. Whether it's someone helping you find something or just a quick interaction at checkout, it never feels rushed or transactional. It feels human. There's a calm, helpful energy throughout the store. People seem willing to go the extra step without making it feel like a big deal, which is exactly what you want but rarely find. Also worth noting, the store runs efficiently. It's organized, things are easy to find, and the overall experience just works. But what really sets it apart is the people. That's the difference-maker here. You leave with your groceries, but you also leave with the impression that you were actually treated well. That's not common.

Per the recommendation from other reviews, I made a reservation for a week night just in case. There are so many combinations of foods you can try, from only pierogis, potatoes, sausages, cabbage rolls, to a mix plate of any of the above and more! I wanted to try a little bit of everything, so I got the potato and sausage plate, which came with 6 pierogi, 2 potato pancakes, and smoked kielbasa. With the pierogis, you can also choose from a wide variety of options: potato, meat, and/or cheese. I feel like you really can't go wrong with any of the pierogis as they are the star of the show. Even though it was a random weeknight, it still got pretty busy with all tables occupied at its busiest. After dinner, we checked out the market attached to the restaurant. They have frozen pierogis from their restaurant you can buy and take home to make yourself. There's also a wide variety of foods specific to this region.

It really does taste like a cross between like ricotta and maybe like feta or something or Parmesan while the potato mushroom and onion one I instantly fell in love with I was like give me 50 in my head after I had onexD if you're afraid of the spicy dill pickles because of it being spicy, do you not even worry about it I'm a white girl level zero spice tolerance and it was not spicy at all. I really enjoyed them. I thought it was a perfect combination with the food and the cabbage roll was pretty good. I wanna try the mushroom and rice version next time as I think I would like it way more. I literally have no complaints about this place. Everything was fantastic even the Beer. I just picked a random one and it turned out good nice malt lager and they have a mini shop inside as well. If you wanna buy any food that's related to what they serve there as well as they have a frozen section of handmade pierogies that you can take home that they handmade. I recommend the spot 100%. I'm definitely coming back here.

Chandler/Mesa/Phoenix 2. Weee! 3. Safeway I believe this place used to be a booth at the Grande shops just across the street but they finally have their own physical location (cheers and well-deserved!!!). Although this place primarily caters to Filipino cuisine (yes, they have lumpia wrapper here!), you will find other main Asian cuisine ingredients here like mirin, gochujang, Indian/Chinese spices, Japanese snacks, etc. They offer a variety of frozen Filipino foods, as well as some fresh fruits & vegetables that are hard to find in American grocery stores around here (i.e. grapefruit, water spinach, calamansi, etc)~! They do also have a hot food section, so if you're craving some Filipino food, you can grab something here on your quick lunch break. Everything is a little on the pricier side but honestly, I don't mind the extra $2 to $5 because HEY, they're the first Asian grocery in the city and they already offer SO much. Also, the owners are SUPER friendly. Thank you for having a wonderful shop in the Casa Grande community! I hope this place gets bigger and better! Would love to see this place grow and offer so much more!

On our way out, as we walked by the customer service desk, I spied with my little eyes, this huge turquoise stuffed animal just chillin' on the ledge. I said, "I want that!!"
