I'm so happy I found this place on Yelp. I love grilling up some carne asada and pollo asado but I usually have to travel far to get to a carniceria. I was weary to stray from my regular carniceria but this place did not disappoint. They have an ample meat selection and then some hot ready made food as well. Referred here by a friend. He did not disappoint at all with the recommendation. The carne asada is probably the best that I have come into contact with. Butcher is super cool guy, throws the meat in a bag along with some marinade that you can soak in there for as little or as long as possible. The flavoring on the meat once you take it off the grill is mouthwatering. Tried the chicarrones out here and they are a little too salty for my liking. Have had better. Ordered the salsas and pico de gallo just didn't try them because the tacos were good without and had homemade guacamole at hand. The tortilla chip selection is limited. Thought they might have their own fresh chips to buy. They do have a variety of corn and flour tortillas to choose from including local companies. Love that! Recommended by a friend, I had to try it. Walked up to the counter, ask the lady how she sells the chile verde as it is cooked. She says I can get it in a burrito, by the pound and another way that I can't remember. Anyway, I got 1 1/2 lbs and it was a lot. I made burritos and served with rice and beans. I still have tons for leftovers and I already cannot wait to eat it. I did not realize that this place is also a market and sell lots of grocery items. Everyone was super nice! I'll be a new regular! Found the Yelp reviews on this place and decided to give it a try. Came in to get some chicken and steak to grill for dinner . Steak was really tender and yummy. Chicken was average. The guy behind the counter was very polite and helpful. I also bought some salsa, guacamole, tortillas, and chips while I was there, which all tasted great. There's a language barrier here with me because I don't speak Spanish, but I have never felt unwelcome going to this place. They're always so helpful and friendly. I'm about to give away my best kept secret though... this place has THE ABSOLUTE BEST carne asada I've ever had!!! And the deli has the most amazing green chili I've ever had!! No lie. I wouldn't even joke about it. I put that on my daughter. That's how serious I am. My friends ask me where I get my carne asada from. I share the info, but unless you actually go and get some for yourself, you're never going to believe it or appreciate it. You'll never go anywhere else again because no other place comes close. Since I know they have amazing carne and green chili, I recently decided to try the al pastor (butcher area) as well. Wouldn't you know, best al pastor I've ever had too!! Went there. They shut down the food at 5:00 on Sundays. The yelp site is not created by them and even though they had that person come in and tell them, they did not have them put the information that they close down the food counter at 5 o'clock. Therefore I wasted an hour of driving there and back to have no food in hand, with a lot of apologies, and more apologies, and excuses. This is not just a carniceria it is also a post office. I originally came here because I have a po box and pick up my mail. Now, I kill two birds with one stone: pick up my mail and some marinaded meat to grill for tacos. It is simply delicious and their salsa is good too. Very disappointed in quality of product I received and the price. The meat is orderly priced and the quality is below expectations. I also purchased a guacamole dip for 6.99, it was more of a tomato salad then anything else. I had a poor experience the first time as well and decided to give them another chance.
