White, Mexican, working people, moms, kids. I watched a young mom yesterday juggling her cart and her toddler while she nursed him! It was awesome! It's like a breath of fresh air - when I quit whining about the carts with lumpy wheels, lol. No really it's a great place and I hope more people come to realize what a triumph the Winco store in Wenatchee is! It makes Safeway and Albertsons look SO dumbed-down (and high-priced!). I recently dealt with a clear product defect and was met with an official "buyer beware" attitude from corporate and management. It is deeply saddening to see a store completely lose its pride in customer satisfaction in favor of pure profit. They would rather save a few dollars on a flawed item than keep a loyal customer who spends thousands a year here. We came home with our groceries and we were charged the wrong prices for some of our items and some of our food was not good. Both melons that were supposed to to be. $2.50 each. They charged us $5.00 each. One melon was so obviously rotten but no quality control. Second melon had a huge soft spot that your finger can go through . .We asked for a group of the tomatoes on the vine. What we. got was two tomatoes from somewhere. With the overpricing Safeway does one might think they check customers orders before leaving the store. Buuut nope

They are working hard to upgrade their store during the covid situation. New parking is being added…read morefor curbside pick up and new construction is going inside (lockers) for pick up as well. Despite the construction the store is clean from construction material, stocking can be better since a lot of items are out the shelf but back stocked (I asked an employee) but as always the employees are not the best, not knowledgeable and always have some type of control trip. My grandma had some shopping to do and I went with her since she can't be left home alone and she needs help walking. At the entrance they have handicap and elderly entrance. I tried waking in with her and the older guy at the door said she can go in but I couldn't, that I had to go around and make line.
