Back in the area again, couldn't resist stopping at one of my favorite local restaurant in fallon. The pork ribs in chile verdi, yum! I'm trying the wet burrito also with lengua. The burrito was okay, it could've used a lot more sauce. I think I'll stick with the pork ribs from now on.

I had a little craving for some Mexican food, so I let Yelp show me the closest restaurants in the area. At first, I wasn't sure I was in the right place. I walked into a cozy little market full of Mexican/Latin staples. I almost left thinking I was in the wrong place til I saw people sitting at tables and eating. I did a little walk inside the shop, and on the far left, I found where you ordered the food. For starters, people were so welcoming! I ordered to go, and the food was nicely wrapped and packaged! The fries were crunchy and flavorful; I also ordered a large Horchata! And when I say significant, it was enormous! It was a great experience trying this place out. A must-go-to place while in Fallon

We were driving thru Fallon and decided to grab a bite before heading back to Reno. THIS PLACE IS LOCATED IN A Harbor Freight SHOPPING CENTER NEAR DMV. This is a combination Mexican market AND restaurant. It seems to do a reasonably good job at both. The meats look amazingly fresh. I've lived in Mexico and this is a very nice small local market. As for the restaurant, the food is really good and reasonably priced. My husband ordered huevos rancheros with the eggs cooked VERY lightly and no rice, double beans. They did a very good job getting the eggs perfect. $7 Thumbs UP. I ordered an ala carte chili rellano. $4.50. Also thumbs up. We would DEFINITELY eat here again. NOTE: because this is also a market, they do NOT bring water or chips & salsa as in many restaurants. You can buy bottled water and buy chips. But they are not "free". I brought our water in from the car. I'm fine with this because their prices are very reasonable. If you find this review useful please vote!

Great new Carniceria, grocer and Mexican food restaurant, a month old in Fallon, NV. They are located next to Game Stop where the Chinese Buffet once was. These folks are from Reno and realized the need in Fallon for their specialty shop. The place was pretty busy with foot traffic on a Saturday at lunch. I enjoyed the most enthusiastic butcher singing his songs. The street tacos were A+. Got my usual canitas taco and my carne asada taco. Very flavorful. Also got a chile and cheese tamale. It's a walk up, order, sit down and then get served restaurant. Service was prompt. The owner was very friendly and greeted the patrons. I am glad that they are here and hope they do well here in Fallon. A plus feature is their Carniceria with all of the Mexican flavored meats and the availability of cultural food products for our locals. Well worth the trip to check out!

I think the meat was supposed to be Al Pastor? But kind of bland

3.5ish stars - limited "take home and cook" options and not amazing flavor. But I will return, and the service was great! Most of their area is eat-in and then there's a little to-go raw meat counter. There's also maybe three abbreviated aisles (like small gas station size). I went in to order meat to cook at home for dinner. I was definitely disappointed at the limited options but I'm probably spoiled from living in larger towns. They had maybe 12ish meat options total, with 2-4 pre-marinated options. Service was GOOD!! Folks were attentive and kind. Presumptuous though it may be, my Caucasian self did actually end up seasoning the meat the night that I cooked the second half and that have it more needed flavor. I will probably return but plan on seasoning it additionally at home. Love to support local!

10/10. The WET burrito is amazing. Kinda spicy (I'm white though) it's chill inside, they do kinda take forever though. But worth it

I haven't eaten from the restaurant but the meat selection is amazing! While limited in variety, the quality and marinade they use is great!

Best Tacos I have had since I have been in Nevada, hands down. On par with any Tacos in San Diego. Will definitely come back for more.

So the wife and I were in Fallon this week to take care of some business…read more While we were out there, we thought we would check out one of the local establishments. We were actually looking for another establishment, but could not find it for whatever reason. However, as we were looking, we saw La Fiesta and made a uturn and headed right over. I can honestly say this was well worth checking out. As you walk in the place is pretty spacious and I have to say that the decor is really nice. I included a picture of some of the artwork that is on display. It was just after the lunch hour, so it was pretty much empty in there and we were able to get seated right away. The gentleman that seated us seem to be pretty nice, but didn't make too much conversation, which is fine. He brought us menus and brought chips and salsa after that and took our drink orders. We sat and made small talk as we waited and continued to check out the decor. Being that it wasn't very busy, our food did not take long to arrive But I have to say the chips and salsa was very good and it also included a sort of cabbage type of pico de gallo. Which I only got to try it once because my wife hogged it all. That's how much she liked it. Our food arrived shortly and man did it look good and it tasted even better I can honestly say that. My wife had the chili Colorado and a taquito with beans and rice. I chose to try the chili Verde plate that also came with beans and rice. Both dishes came with warm tortillas. I can honestly tell you that this Chile Verde was legit and I could not get over how good it tasted. My wife was equally as happy with her food and we both kept saying how much we enjoyed it and we plan to come on back and try something else. After eating, I needed to use the restroom, which was clean to my liking, of course And as I walked back to the table, I noticed there was some stairs leading down to a Cantina, which I thought was pretty cool. I did not go down to check it out being it was so early in the day. I didn't think it was open, but I will probably check it out next time we go back. So if you are in Fallon Nevada, and would like to try some amazing Mexican food check out La Fiesta because you will not be disappointed

You are served mild salsa and a cabbage mix to scoop your chips into. The cabbage had good flavor and was a unique addition, we really enjoyed it! The salsa was mild and a bit on the average side. You can tell the tomato tasted like it came from a can. My husband got the ground beef enchilada which came out steaming hot and I got the fish taco from the lunch menu, both portions were massive! We both thought the rice and beans were delicious! I was a little disappointed with the fish tacos because when I took a bite of the first one, the tortilla split and everything fell out onto my plate after the first bite (same with the others). I then had to eat my taco with a fork which was new for me. I'm someone that goes with the flow, but I must say I've never eaten a taco with a fork before. The fish was battered which I didn't mind, but it was soggy from the pico. It would've been better to have had two tortillas holding the fish taco instead of one thin tortilla and maybe put the pico on the side. The beef burrito was just ok, it needed more flavor. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly and the food came out fast. We really appreciated the service and hospitality.

I can see why people have been disappointed. I was too. The service was lacking, the food was bland, the coffee was disgusting. The prices are no longer locals friendly and come closer to a quality diner with great service. Jerry's is no longer either. Back in its day there would be a wait in the mornings, and a crowd at lunch. There were only 6 tables of diners right in the middle of lunch. For the food we ordered two breakfasts, one sandwich and one of my friends had a salad that was just ok. Everything else was stale, greasy or microwaved. Not sure what has happened here, but I am sad for the people of Fallon.
