My husband ordered the birria platter with beans and rice and corn tortillas and I ordered the birria en caldo with corn tortillas. The order was ready in 10 minutes, piping, hot,. They ask if you want onions and cilantro, it comes with lemons and your choice of green or red salsa. Generous portions! I had to save half of my flavorful, satisfying birria en caldo for later. They also give you about four tortillas as opposed to the usual two. They were playing Bad Bunny in the background, not too loud. There are about eight screens on the walls, which could potentially show videos if one were to rent it out for a birthday party for example. They were dry, very little meat, you probably get more in a single taco, beans were at the bottom, worst thing is when I was asked if I wanted pico de gallo, the guy preparing graved the pico with his bare hand and put it on my plate. Ordered Sept 8th from Uber Eats and ordered was incomplete. I had asked the uber driver when delivered if it was all the order since it was only one bag and I had ordered 3 plates, a pound of buche and the family pack. He said they only gave him one bag. Today September 29th I ordered, incomplete order, one quesabirria was missing. Always blaming the uber driver. I now reported to uber eats as incomplete and the only thing I got back was $2 refund. I can see why the initial reviews are low, it's a new spot and needs to establish itself, there's ALOT of room for guests to eat and the interior isn't crazy but come on, it's a taco spot to eat. The employees weren't rude to me and they weren't busy so that might affect your visit but decided to try a taco. Started off with great customer service. Nothing but smiles and warm greetings. Then came the suggestions when I told them it was my first time. I went with the mixto taco which is buche, cueritos, and carnitas. It was wonderful!! All the wonderful textures and flavors all mixed in every bite. Buches were tender and flavorful. Cueritos were soft and cooked to perfection. Carnitas were perfectly carmelized and juicy. They had little edges that got nice and crispy without drying out. Salsa was seasoned perfectly and had a good amount of spice. I would say it was pretty warm for those who aren't spice lovers. I only ordered the one taco and it was easily two. Came with double tortilla stacked high with meat. One taco is a light-moderate meal. Two tacos would make a heavy meal in my opinion. Plenty of beers on hand as well as Mexican sodas. But when we got them I couldn't believe how much meat they had on a full size tortilla. They were a little bland and dry. Everyone was friendly and attentive when we walked in. I felt this is important to mention as some of the reviews had negative comments about the friendlyness of the staff. The restaurant itself is big with lots of tables and it was boring. They could use some wall art or tv/music. The place echos when you talk because of the size. I'm hoping to go earlier next time to see if the carnitas have better flavor and aren't so dry. UPDATE: My review was from a prior visit. After writing this review I decided to go back and try them again. This time the carnitas were better than on my first visit.
