    Shrimp burrito

Been here twice now and both times, I had a burrito. These are huge and very good. Love the salsa and chips. Portions are huge and reasonably priced. Will be back.

Had a graduation dinner for my daughter here and everything was perfect. The staff was so wonderful and accommodating, in particular the manager, Jaime, and our server Ricardo the food was delicious and the whole experience was excellent. I love this restaurant and would absolutely go back when in the area.

It's been many many years since I've been here and it has only gotten better. Always get the shrimp fajitas and it was amazing. Margarita has a nice kick they are very generous with the liquor and the service is outstanding. Thank you Mary for taking good care of us!

My favorite place to eat in the IE! literally Tropical Mexico has stopped my husband and I from eating out anywhere else....we had other spots we would frequent but the service, atmosphere and delicious food keeps us coming back. Especially since they added more and bigger TVs to the entire place, this is our go to spot to watch any game. NFL, MLB, Soccer, Hockey I'm sure they'll have the Winter Olympics playing too! It's a very laid back vibe with plenty of seating options for groups of any size. The food is always consistent and the pitcher of margarita is a must have. We have tried everything from the sizzling fajita platter to the shrimp ceviche and bean and cheese burrito, it's all delicious. I judge Mexican restaurants by their rice and beans and this place nails it. My go to is the Cheese Enchilada small plate that comes with one enchilada and a generous portion of rice and beans it's the perfect amount of food for me to finish, yet still enjoy the delicious complimentary chips and salsa and my pitcher (that I share, of course) The shrimp ceviche tostada is also a must because they serve a mountain of ceviche for under $9, you can't beat that! Can't say enough great things about this place, staff and ownership that has been running this place as a family since the 70s. The owner's son can be seen walking around greeting guests and you see so many regulars come in hugging and waving to the servers, it's truly a special place. If you haven't checked out Tropical Mexico it's worth the hype! I'll probably see you there

I'm a regular at Tropical Mexico and this spot never disappoints. We love it here its the perfect place to meet and discuss School booster stuff, with front dining area tables that are large and accommodating for quick meetings over great food that tastes like home-cooked meals. My absolute favorite are the warm tortilla chips and salsa they're irresistibly addicting, please keep them coming! We also appreciate that Tropical Mexico supports Don Lugo Sports. Giving back to the community will always earn my business and this place consistently demonstrates that commitment. Its a go to spot after a game in our neighborhood!

I have been coming here for over 20 years and from day one to today, the food continues to be delicious and the best comprehensive Mexican food restaurant in Pomona and Inland Valley... The service is outstanding by all waitresses, especially Fernanda who is always attentive to our table.

The friendliest staff. They recognize your face and are very attentive. I love coming here to unwind. Their food has never let me down and they have ample seating with a beautiful outdoor patio.

Was highly recommended by my friend and this place did not disappoint. Food and service were excellent! Ambiance was also great. I highly recommend this place

This is the combo of Tucci's enchiladas two hardshell tacos, rice beans. It also comes with a side of soup chips and salsa.

The food was really good. The crunchy tacos were great. I love the salsa. It was very mild. Just a nice flavor for the crunchy taco tacos. The rice was super delicious

A Hidden Gem Worth Rediscovering! Tucked away in the middle of a residential neighborhood, this little hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant is a true hidden gem. I had been here many years ago but hadn't found my way back--until we stumbled across it by accident while meandering home. From the front, not much had changed, but inside and out, the upgrades were impressive. They've added an incredible outdoor patio that, even on a warm day, felt perfect with the breeze. Inside, there's now more seating in addition to the original cozy section that instantly brought back memories of my first visit. The booths and chairs inside looked cushy and inviting, but with sunny, mild weather, we opted for the patio. The high-top plastic tables outside were surprisingly comfortable and perfect for lingering. While I didn't take a photo, there is a large parking area with plenty of spaces - making it easy to get in and out without having to worry about finding a spot. Every employee we met was friendly, smiling, and genuinely cared about whether we had a good experience. The space is full of vibrant, colorful murals--even in the women's restroom! Speaking of which, the women's bathroom was spotless, family-friendly with a toddler safety seat and changing station (can't vouch for the men's room). Since we weren't very hungry but wanted to check it out, we kept our order light. Chips and salsa are complimentary (though extra chips cost more). The salsa was fresh, tomato-forward, and had heat, but for me lacked depth of flavor. They don't offer a green salsa, but they do have a chile verde sauce available for a small charge--it had a nice tang, mild heat, and was worth trying. We ordered a shredded beef tostado and, on our server Ricardo's recommendation, the pescado ceviche. The tostado was loaded with toppings, though I found the meat portion a little light. The beans, however, were clearly made fresh and delicious. The ceviche, though, stole the show--hands down the best I've had in years! Fresh, flavorful, and vibrant, it's made daily and is Ricardo's personal favorite for good reason. We didn't sample drinks or cocktails this time, but we're already planning a return visit. I can easily see this becoming a go-to spot for brunch and an afternoon of Sunday football.

My bosses were raving about this place so I decided to pick this place to celebrate my birthday with them. I decided to try the Lunch Special Carne Asada Taco with Cheese Enchiladas and Beans. Also, we shared the guacamoleand chips. It was sooo delicious that I was eating so much of the quac than I should have and I even finish my whole plate from the lunch special. The lunch special dish was more than enough that I was so stuff from it. My co worker decided to get the churros and it's so flavorful, fresh, hot, and delicious! I would definitely come here again to try other dishes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very clean and lot of seats inside. It didn't feel too cramped. There are tons of parking spaces so made it easy to find parking.

When walking towards the cafe, you will see a sign for a pub. You can walk inside and turn towards the right. The cafe and baristas are located towards the very back! Yet, once you go inside, you notice all the seating that is available. We have asked towards the baristas, and used a little tablet to scan their menu. We ended up ordering a tonic and a banana cold brew. They also had food items! We had chosen their breakfast burrito. Their coffee is strong and you can feel the caffeine. Yet, the sweetness is perfect and can mask your actual caffeine intake! It's amazing how they can do both. Their burrito was very savory and delicious as well. It's always quick and clean at this cafe. The baristas are always sweet. My fiancé and I do come here to do work, and their WiFi is decent, too. I highly recommend this cafe if you're ever in the area!

Back to the meal! Eager to quell the obnoxious hunger growls emanating from my stomach, I opted for this small but hopping diner's moneymaker- The Las Vegas Burger Combo. The LV Burger comes w/ lettuce, tomato, onion rings, bacon, mayo and jalapeños- I hungrily devoured it all, save for the peppers I had them withdraw. The fries are of medium thickness- Think of that middle ground between McDonald's cigarette-width fries and the (frankly, fat) steak fries that Red Robin serves. They come perfectly sprinkled w/ seasoning salt, fried to a decadent golden crisp. Pros- Kudos to the young man and woman behind the counter, both of whom visibly cleaning table tops and sweeping floors during (rare) pauses in the more or less steady drum beat of Pomonans who drop in for a meal. When you're charging $3.49 for a medium (16 ounces) soda that costs the proprietor, oh, around thirty cents- Don't make your dine-in customers feel insulted by charging 'em for (one) refill. In sum, this small restaurant does a lot very well. It may be named for "Sin City" and located in a decidedly working class neighborhood but it punches far above its weight! Okay, I want to make it clear that I am not her to frivolously review a neighborhood restaurant…read more Small businesses are the backbone of our country, specially important and black, woman and minority owned. So here's my good and not so good. Good: the service here is amazing, friendly attentive and I watched every dine in customer receive extraordinary care. The portion sizes are huge and the whole restaurant felt like you were in someone's own kitchen on a weekend morning with all of the right smells in the air for a great brunch. Here's the not so good: it took 4 minutes shy of an hour to get lunch for 2 (2 order of chicken tenders, side of red beans and rice and an order of hush puppies ) prepared. Although the booths were full, most of the tables had their food, so it didn't appear to be a lot of tickets stacked up. When my order was finally delivered, and I took the10 minute drive back home, I opened the bag to fund 3 brown paper bags, wet, soggy and soaking in grease. Because the food hadn't been allowed to cool a bit and it was placed in a plastic bag with no way to vent out steam, every item was soggy and falling apart. The fries were wet and soggy, the chicken had all of the dry coat falling off and most the seasoning was pulled off of the batter that was left because of the water and steam. Additionally, the red beans and rice were so wet, they were almost soup. One of the orders had potato salad as a side, but to received overcooked soggy fries instead. The hush puppies were way over cooked, they had passed the golden brown cook level and were a black brown color and were sort of flavorless and really soggy from the heat of the plastic bag. I'm sure that most of this could have been avoided if I hadn't placed a to go order. But I'm leaving this review so that when you order from this little gem, you consider dining in or asking for the foot with plenty of lead time so that they don't rush, improperly pack the food for transit (let it cool off a bit) and have the time to make sure the order is correct, and cooked to a standard that best represents the business. Pomona needs Day-Days as a locally owned, black owned soul food restaurant. Switching from plastic to paper bags and giving the food time to vent will go a long way with quality for the customer. In the end the food tasked good, I'm sure was prepared with love, but fell flat on the delivery. All of that said, patronize this restaurant!!!!

The coffee tastes like a clean, bitter, cold brew with a foamy top. (Important: Bring Cash. There's a 4% Cash Discount.) I arrived at Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) on Thursday (around 12:13PM). Parking is simple but busy. There's a side lot for customers; sign says, "2 Hour Parking." Staff is courteous, no-nonsense, and diligent. Staff worked hard. Staff quickly answered all my questions. My coffee took about three minutes. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Nitro Cold Brew ($9 - Large - 24oz). The coffee is very standard. It tastes exactly like any imagined cold brew coffee. Personally, the roast tasted a little burnt, but it's a common, familiar coffee flavor. The strength was weak for a nitro, but the HUGE SIZE and affordability balances it all out. This is a functional, budget drink. On ambiance, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a HUGE success. There's a lot of utility. The location has a self-serve water station, public internet with no password, stacked high chairs for children, two game corners (ex: Chess, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Uno Cards, Etc), and about one available electrical outlet. I also appreciated the retro, upbeat music and 1930s movie decor. In addition, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) has plenty of seating. There's about four interior tables, but there's also 16 outside patio tables. The location is clean, well-maintained, and well ventilated. Overall, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a good, local neighborhood spot. It offers affordable choice that are prepared "good enough." I wouldn't drive a long distance for this spot, but it's a decent option if you're already nearby. 4.5 out of 5
