    Birria burrito
    Noe S.

The only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of 1, is because the red salsa and the burrito itself has pretty good flavor and the service is friendly and fairly quick. With that being said, I would not come back here again. I paid $16 for a small birria butrito that I finished pretty quickly. Rafa's across the street charges $13 or $14 and the burrito is almost twice the size, enough for me to split into two meals. I cannot justify paying this much for a small burrito. And to top it off, my burrito hardly had any birria. So I pretty much overpaid for a glorified bean and rice burrito with a small amount of meat. I hope they see this and try and make a change but it's doubtful so I hope more people call them out for this.

I came here with my mom after p.t nearby so we were craving some tacos. Small seating area with the a/c blasting. My mom and I shared a plate of tripas, pastor, asada, and cabeza tacos. The wait time was not long even when they're busy. The tacos were not too greasy with chopped onions and cilantro. The salsas gave a good heat. They only gave us one napkin for 8 tacos between the two of us. The staff was nice and the place is clean.

I was at a convention when I stumbled across this place. A total wholesome the wall with great hospitality. There were people seated in that seemed like regulars. You know a place is good when regulars come to it. I ordered a taco plate with included two meats, rice, beans, and drink. And it was great. I loved that it came in a paper plate. It reminded me of good times with family and friends. BF ordered. Meat quesadillas which he devoured. They also gave us a good side of salsa which was great. Usually you just get a little bit they were not stingy at all I wouldn't mind coming here again if I'm ever in the area

Found this place on Yelp and stopped by for lunch. The worker was super kind. The shop is a hole in the wall - a bit grungy but clean with seating. Got 3 carne asada tacos and an all meat carne asada burrito. Really enjoyed the tacos with the red sauce (not too spicy but has a good flavor). My husband wished the carne asada in the burrito wasn't cut up so small but overall liked it.

Pastor Burrito and Agua Fresca del dia

A good friend of mines swears by this place so I had to come give it a try. It's a small little restaurant but feels very authentic and welcoming once inside. The lady at the register had such good energy and was very polite. I ordered an Al pastor burrito and a agua de Pina. The burrito is a nice size and comes pretty loaded. I prefer my pastor a bit more charred but the flavor was good nonetheless. I was a real fan of the agua Fresca especially in this heat. I should have got the large.

Quaint taco shop in a small strip mall easily missable if you drive on by, but I'm glad I didn't! Expect a hole-in-the-wall feel with friendly people. You can tell they are entrenched and beloved by their local folk. The tacos were very affordable, so I ordered asada, cabeza, al pastor, and birria, all excellent quality and scrumptious. I will call out my mistake, I thought the birria taco was going to be the usual popular quesaburria, but I was pleasantly surprised! The stewed beef was so tender and packed with flavorful meaty goodness. Easily my favorite taco of the bunch.

Got the chile relleno burrito. It was pretty bland. Every now and then I'd taste the chile, but for the most part it was just meh.

Hello 😊 your food looks amazing ! I was wondering if you guys do tacos only catering. Like no sides, no condiments. Just a person who can provide the meats, grill & tortillas and can cook them ?😊 for 100 people?

Hello and thank you for your question and comment! At this time, we are not doing in-person catering events. We can do taco trays for your own taco bar. Feel free to call M-F before 3pm to for more information.

Do they still have the $0.85 tacos on Tuesday?

Yes! Only available for take-out (not delivery).

I was hoping they would have a Taco Tuesday special or something but they don't... I ordered 2 carne asada and 1 al pastor tacos to go. They were prettty solid and delicious! Carne asada was really nice, the al pastor was definitely more flavorful, but it had more of the burnt ends, so it was either even more flavorful from the charred parts, or it was a bit hard and too crispy to have. Overall, still pretty nice though. I liked how they had the side bar, which it doesn't look entirely the cleanest, but pretty decent. Total for 3 tacos came out to be $9, so it's about $3 each. Kinda high for tacos imo, but they're pretty good.

Parking is limited, so we were happy to snag one of the last spots. This is an order-at-the-counter spot with a salsa bar, hot beans, indoor and outdoor seating, and even Mexican Coke. Indoor seating is also pretty limited, so my friend and I were glad to grab one of the small tables. I ordered the lengua and asada tacos and both were flavorful, tender, and loaded with meat. I was honestly too hungry and eager to take a picture beforehand, but I can assure you the portions are plentiful. The tacos were a little greasy, but still really satisfying. Solid taco spot if you're in Pomona.

Unfortunately, we did have to wait around 30-40 minutes for the buffet to be ready.. we were served mimosas right away, which was nice. Now.. when it came down to the food, one person in my party did find a vey long hair in her chile relllenos. We made it know to our waitress.. which was a sweet person throughout everything!! Then we were told that the chilaquiles and taco station was now open.. so we headed down to it. There was no one to great us at the station. We stood around for around 10 minutes and no one showed up. So at that moment I grabbed a bowel of menudo. Lucky me!! I also grabbed a long hair in my menudo.. my sister in law thought it was a piece of onion but it was not! It was a very long strand of hair. At that point we all tried our best to make the best of it and enjoy the mariachi and mimosas. Then when I returned to the taco/chilaquile station the lady was very rude!! She bluntly asked what we wanted instead of telling us our options.. and I said I'll have 2 chorizo tacos please.. she said where's your plate?? I wasn't aware that I had to give her a plate to serve me. It was an overall horrible experience. Especially because we were literally the only party in the entire place besides the mariachi. The mariachi and our server were the only pleasant people that morning. I will never be returning.

The food is comforting and reminds you of how Hispanic culture brings people together through food and music. All the staff here is very kind and have a lively spirit. As you are enjoying your food it is warming to hear them laughing, enjoying each other's company, and Bad Bunny music of course. I had the Tostada Mixta pictured below and believe it or not I had already dug in and eaten a whole tostada by the time I remembered to snap a pic. The portions are very generous and for the price, can't be beat! The Tacos de Camaron are flavor packed with every bite. But some shady charges or maybe we'll call it miscommunication just rubbed me the wrong way. I always order the mole chicken enchiladas and my wife (being vegetarian) asks for the same dish but if the enchiladas can be vegetable or cheese. Apparently this means a 8$ up charge? We've done this many times in the past and always been charged the same price for both. I asked the server at the end "the veggie version is 8$ more expensive than chicken?" And he just shrugged and said yes. Just found it interesting that a meat dish would be 8$ less than a purely cheese/veggie dish. Especially since done this in the past with no issue. I also asked for "hot sauce" for my dish. They brought out a spicier house salsa as the hot sauce...totally understandable and the salsa here is usually free. Apparently it's a 4$ "chipotle sauce" that the waiter did not inform me would be charged. I would've easily just said I want tapatio or no "hot sauce". I used maybe a teaspoon for 4$. I told the waiter this when we questioned the bill and he just shrugged. These may seem like small inconveniences but when they seem like they intentionally don't tell you the details and then when called out about it just kinda shrug it off, it was a disappointing end to an otherwise tasty dinner. We love it here and will certainly be back but it just sucks that I have to be extra cautious & skeptical when ordering from now on.
