Tucked away in Pomona, this quaint spot is a true gem. The dining area was clean with plenty of seating and happy to say the restrooms were clean as well. We visited on a Friday during Lent so opted for a meatless meal, chile rellenos (poblano peppers stuffed with cheese), rice and beans. They were delicious and huge, and also a very nice presentation. This is definitely one of the best spots I've been to, and the folks who run this place are incredibly warm and amicable. I have had some really good chilaquiles, and even though it's a simple dish, simple things like fresh chips and protein options are what seal the deal for me. The dish is simply awesome. The chips weren't soggy. The eggs were made just right with how I asked. The salsa was super tasty. And that extra star goes to our server taking time to talk to us, mentioning that chilaquiles is one of their most popular dishes, asking us how we were doing on multiple occasions, and ending the visit with asking how everything was before we left. The food is excellent and service was great the inside seating is ok not romantic, it does remind me of meat market transformed into a restaurant. Honestly can't get better than this. The meat is amazing and well prepared and melts in your mouth. The downside is the parking there isn't a parking lot they do have street parking. Unless they have another parking area I'm not sure of. They did have a sign mentioning of short staff but I feel like that's everywhere these days and asked for patience. Honestly I had three children (2, 4, 12) who were very hangry I felt this place handled the customers very well. The quesabirria tacos are amazing, the enchiladas were really great as well. My children ordered the chicken nuggets and fries. They did eat off my plate which is fine by me since you can really share the items in my opinion was a lot of food. Pozole Review: I must start off by saying that this place is very authentic. I've only had the pleasure of eating there Pozole a few times and it is quite delicious. The side fixings that you get are also good. It is well portioned and can easily feed 2 people. It's so good that I don't like to share and get one just for me. Their homemade red salsa is THE BEST salsa I've had in town. You get a huge bag of chips which are also really good. I always call and do a pickup order and the ladies are always super friendly. Amazing family owned restaurant, my wife and I got a mojara frita , tostada de camarones y pulpo, queso birria taco and consomé. The tostada was so fresh and good. Big portion for the two tostada they give. The taco was really big and had a lot of meat for $3.99 and the consommé was delicious.
