    Lengua Taco for $2.50. The price is right, but the taco isn't. I have been on a tongue taco kick and this was the only place on Ubereats that offered them when I was looking for dinner. Unfortunately, these tacos fell very short on flavor. No bueno. The $2 steak taco was ok. Burritos cost about $5-$6, and are a good size. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . ( ` - ` - ' - ' ' - - - ' ' ( _ / . _ ) - ' ( _ \ _ )

Tried the carnitas and the meat was a bit dry and did not have much flavor, to be far they were tried later in the day so the meat might have been smearing for a while. Additionally had asada burrito (lettuce appeared to be old and not much flavor to meat), Hawaiian torta(really good and flavorful) and quesadilla roja w/ carnitas(was not what I expected and tortilla was to soggy). Good service.

    So darn good!

This place is really good! It is casual and perfect for my college life stature of living! I got two tacos for 3 bucks, and later realized they had a special: 5 tacos for 4 dollars!! The tacos are amazing because they are completely handmade, fresh, and steaming when served on a foam plate. You can tell all of the ingredients are cut up and freshly served. I am very satisfied my new favorite spot!

We ordered steak tacos, a nachos appetizer, and a horchata for delivery to the house. We placed the order with no issues and even received a confirmation email that our order will be delivered in 20 minutes. I called the restaurant just to confirm everything, and the lady who answered said that they weren't delivering and that the person who normally does was not working today. I let her know that there was nothing posted about the restaurant not delivering today, and that we had placed our order already and paid a delivery fee. She then agreed that they would deliver the food. Fast forward 35 minutes and our food arrives. Starving, we opened up the bag and find the steak tacos that we ordered. They were extremely bland and lacked flavor compared to other tacos that we have had. Being avid travelers, we have tried many different restaurants and types of Mexican food, so we know good tacos and these were far from that. Then we find that the nachos we had ordered were nothing like what we paid for. We had ordered the regular nachos, which come with beans, cheese, ripe avocado, and sea salt. Instead we got cold, soggy nachos with cheese on them. I am extremely disappointed in La Mina and do not wish to order from them again.

Excellent food! Unique menu option not just Tacos and Tortas. I was pleased to see that they served barbacoa made from lamb. Not many Mexican restaurants have this dish on their menu but they do! I added a picture. My co worker ordered tacos de asada and secina and he said they were really good. The asada was grilled on a grill which gave it great flavor.

    Chicken chimichanga (to go).

Takeout on Cinco de Mayo! I am such a gringo! The chimichanga my wife had was perfection. Kids had steak tacos and my steak quesadilla on fresh tortilla was good. Guacamole was a little heavy on onions and citrus. Really enjoyed the homemade chips and salsa. The chips were a little thicker and salsa was had just the right kick. Everything went great with my Modelo! Thanks for helping a gringo celebrate!

Yum best elotes in town! An can't beat the price $1.00 heck yea

Best steak and al pastor tacos in Aurora. Can't wait to eat here again. Kudos to the proprietors of this establishment.

La Sierra was approximately a 35-minute drive from our home in the western suburbs. We arrived at approximately 8:30 AM. As we drove up my wingman John commented that he would not have come into this neighborhood or restaurant if I was not with him. Yes, the neighborhood was a bit rough (I grew up in Pilsen in the 1960's) but to me it felt like home in Chicago. We walked in and were warmly greeted by the hostess and waitress and told to sit-down anywhere we wanted. We chose a booth in the second room of the restaurant; the walls were covered with photos of Mexico and the smell coming from the kitchen was heaven. Our waitress quickly approached us for our drink order, she mentioned that they had Cafe de la Olla (made with piloncillo-unrefined whole cane sugar from Latin America, and cinnamon sticks) which we both ordered. The coffee arrived in a colorful Mexican traditional mug (just the way my mother used to make me). It was delicious! We then ordered our breakfast, which was Mexican Chilaquiles (a traditional, comforting breakfast dish consisting of crispy tortilla chips simmered in red or green salsa until slightly softened) with eggs, meat & refired beans. We were both in "Heaven", the tortilla chips were perfectly cooked with just enough "Crisp" to them. Just the way my mother used to make me on a weekend morning. My wingman & I both agreed that we will be returning and bringing our fellow foodies with us to try the other dishes offered!

There was a line when we got there (around noon) which I feel is usually a sign of tasty food. The tortilla chips were so yummy with a flavorful seasoning and delicious salsa. The parking looks awful until you spy the public lot just one storefront away. The interior is simple, which I prefer. Some cute knickknacks but not too much. The menu is the traditional Mexican fare, tacos, burritos, fajitas, plates, etc. Everyone should be able to find something to please them. The waitress was so sweet and helpful. They were doing a lot of take out orders and had my party and another couple dining in. She did great making sure we all had what we needed. We all started talking to one another so felt like dinner with a bunch of friends. My friends had the steak tacos and the Americano plate. Both really liked their items. The tacos were well filled and the meat tender and juicy. The plate had lots of steak on it as well as rice, beans, tortillas, etc. The sauce was a tad spicy but not overpowering for my non-spice liking friend. The star of the night was the Crazy Burrito. Massive burrito filled with shrimp, steak, fries, rice, guac and more. And when I say massive, I mean MASSIVE. Everything inside somehow all went together incredibly well. But each bite was different depending on what the ratio of the items was. Probably 1 of the top 3 burritos I've ever had. The steak, meat and shrimp were all perfectly cooked. Will definitely go back next time in Chicago.

The restaurant was clean, quiet, the bathrooms were clean, the cashier so sweet and patient--I couldn't ask for more! We ordered a asada burrito dinner, a chorizo burrito, and a large horchata to split. We were given a basket of chips and a delicious salsa that had flavor, but wasn't too spicy! The burritos were generously filled and had avocado! That's not something I see everywhere. The beans were a great consistency, the rice was soft and flavorful, and the horchata was top notch! It had a unique flavor, too, and wasn't watery. The cup also wasn't overfilled with ice! While we were patiently waiting for the burritos, we fell victim to the slideshow and decided we just had to try a gordita lol. It was SO good, but the portions were so filling we had to take the rest of the gordita and part of a burrito with. The tomatillo sauce was perfect and the red sauce had quite a kick to it, but not enough that it was painful. The food didn't NEED any extra sauce, but I like to try them, anyways! I wished I lived in this area so I could eat more gorditas, but I will definitely stop here again if I am around! If you're lucky enough to live in the area, please do support this sweet business!

We will definitely be back. Thank you!
