I went there yesterday and I ordered 3 tacos, and they were 3 steak tacos with cilantro onion tomato and cheese, because I'm scared of the lettuce at this point, and I've been here several several several times before. But today the meat was suspect it was really chewy. It wasn't any grizzle. It was real chewy and I didn't understand it. And so I had to end up throwing them away. I ate another one to see if it was the same texture or problem with the meat. And it was, and then the color was weird. It was, yeah, I won't be going back. I wish they had a location in Des plaines.. I didn't take pictures because I was too busy stuffing my face! I had chicken and beef taquitos (THE BEST I HAVE HAD IN A WHILE), and I had steak and chicken tacos. Everything was so well put together, the flavors didn't lack, and the ambience of the shop was welcoming. We got 2 tacos asada and a gordita al pastor. The asada was flavorless and very small portion for 3 dollar tacos. Gordita was also small for 5 dollars. Al pastor needed salt but was good and the gordita was a little hard which I guess is ok because it helped it not break apart but I'm used to a softer masa. They gave us 3 different sauces a Verde, roja, and guacamole Verde. All were good except the one with guacamole. Fun fact, this salsa doesn't actually have avocado in it lol. Place was very clean, nothing fancy. They have a dessert truck on the other side of the lot and lots of tables to eat there outside and a few in between. Some of my family members have been obsessed with this taco truck for about a month now so of course I had to see what all the fuss was about. I decided to try the steak and al pastor tacos. I had both with onions and cilantro. I was pretty impressed with my tacos, I can't say that they are the best I've had but they were pretty good. Both tacos were very flavorful and they were generous wit the meat. I got a red and a green salsa on the side and they were both very good. I favored the green salsa cause it was less spicy. I love this place. The reason that I gave it 2 stars is because the burritos we just got tonight were half the thickness they normally are. The food tastes great but the portion size was so much smaller than normal. The alambre burrito is the best and the red hot sauce had a smokey flavor. $37 for 3 burritos and 6 tacos should be more than enough for dinner but we were all a little hungry afterwards. Recently reopened, this was our first time eating here. Originally, an old fashioned 50's carhop diner, we were expecting that type experience. The restaurant looks clean and has been repainted. Many of the carhop features still remain. Such as, a wooden carhop on skates to greet you as you approach the building. The inside is different... No carhops, you go inside to order. They do have a nice outdoor patio area to eat your food. The inside is a mixture of lots of concepts not really in line with carhop feel and the menu...they have mostly Mexican food and a scrolling sign reading...tortas, burritos, tacos, tostadas, etc. They do have burgers and fries and even gyros on the menu. Visited awhile ago when they opened in this spot and never care to come back to retry. Probably because we liked the doggie diner that was there before and now every time I pass I think how they just ruined the place and how ugly it is with the way they remodeled and color choices. Lengua was gross, my wife' s favorite and she took a couple bites and threw it away. My steak burrito was fatty and not much better. Maybe it was opening and people were learning, but they have food trucks and other places so should not be any trial runs, but either way I won't be back unless another company occupies that building to try out. read more

We always pass this taco truck parked on a granite warehouse's dirt lot along the intersection of US30 and Wolf crossing. With all the neon signs and generator piwered lights you'll not miss it, alternatively just follow the smell. Been to several taco places within the area and I would say they're a solid 4 on the taste. That's if you have patience to wait 30mins for your order. Could be the timing too since we came here around 7-8pm when there's already 6 customers waiting ahead of me. For a buck 80 each we ordered the taco pastor which was very delicious and is the hero of this story. Well marinated beef steak cutlets, grilled to perfection. The taco asada is also great with the tender flavorful chicken. But then there's the chorizo taco which I would call the villain. It was too salty for my taste, even with the cilantro and onions trying it's best to maintain balance to my palate but failed. Everything was served with 2 corn tortillas to hold the awesome goodness together and your choice of salsa. My personal fave, salsa verde. The kiddos ordered the quesadilla con carne with the choice of meat. My kids ordered the ground beef topped with chihuahua cheese cut in 4 bite size portions, perfect for small meal eaters like my kids. You know everything is made fresh since they give away the last few pieces when they ran out of ingredients. I love supporting great small homegrown businesses like this. There is a good reason Taco Movil has great ratings, they are really good. We always order the taco Al Pastor and the Alambre, Mexican style. The tacos are on the small side but hey just order an extra one or two. While we both enjoy the taco Al Pastor it is the Alambre that we both crave. The cheesy, bacon, beef combo with just the perfect amount of seasoning, not spicy hot but very flavorful. If you want heat they do have a very, very hot salsa, too hot for my taste, so you been warned. The service at times can be slow. Eating inside isn't an option for me because of a strong cleaning product smell or air freshener that they use. read more

I was excited after reading the reviews, I wanted good Tacos al pastor. They were terrible, I think they took leftover meat and recooked it. The meat was dried up bits of meat and the taco shells were not soft and tender as you would expect. The beans and rice were good though. read more

Hands down this is the best Al pastor taco you will find the far west burbs, possible the entire Chicagoland area. I have eaten at their mobile food truck in the past but this was my first visit to their new brick and mortar location and I was not disappointed. It's located in the old Doggie Diner(I think that's what it was called), it's small and no frills. Service is quick and friendly and all the food is amazing. They have a nice complimentary salsa condiment bar with some nice salsas and ensalada. Their prices are great, actually too low in my opinion, raise your prices slightly if you are reading this. My bill for 3 of us to eat, 9 tacos total, 4 steak 5 pastor and 3 soft drinks was $21. Three people can't even eat off the crappy Taco Bell Value menu for $21. Sweet sassy molassy this place has a damn fine tacos. I went with my wife and nephew and got some al pastor tacos and one cow tongue. Both were delicious and full of flavor and meat. They are dressed with onions and cilantro which was tasty. My wife and nephew got the steak and cheese taco plate which they enjoyed too. I was suggest that you go on a Tuesday or Thursday because that is the night they have free outdoor smells. On Mondays they have free outdoor sniffs but they aren't as good as smells. Wednesday, Friday is the night of 1000 aromas so it's gets busy for sure. Then on the weekend they have free whiffs with every purchase so make sure you take advantage of that. The girl taking orders was friendly and attentive. I went with several tacos (chicken, steak, and pastor). The tacos were pretty blah, lacking in flavor and also very dry. I had to drench them in hot sauce to make them edible. The pastor was probably the best out of the bunch. Also the green mild sauce was better than the hot sauce in terms of flavor. I just stopped by here for a quick bite to eat, had no idea 2 small ass chicken tacos, a side of rice, and a small drink was gonna cost me almost $10!!!
