Still the best steak burrito in the area!! I've been ordering since they opened and they never disappoint!!

Found this little hole in the wall on Christmas Eve because the place we planned on going to was closed for the holiday. Sometimes things are just meant to be! The parking looks awful until you spy the public lot just one storefront away. The interior is simple, which I prefer. Some cute knickknacks but not too much. The menu is the traditional Mexican fare, tacos, burritos, fajitas, plates, etc. Everyone should be able to find something to please them. The waitress was so sweet and helpful. They were doing a lot of take out orders and had my party and another couple dining in. She did great making sure we all had what we needed. We all started talking to one another so felt like dinner with a bunch of friends. My friends had the steak tacos and the Americano plate. Both really liked their items. The tacos were well filled and the meat tender and juicy. The plate had lots of steak on it as well as rice, beans, tortillas, etc. The sauce was a tad spicy but not overpowering for my non-spice liking friend. The star of the night was the Crazy Burrito. Massive burrito filled with shrimp, steak, fries, rice, guac and more. And when I say massive, I mean MASSIVE. Everything inside somehow all went together incredibly well. But each bite was different depending on what the ratio of the items was. Probably 1 of the top 3 burritos I've ever had. The steak, meat and shrimp were all perfectly cooked. Will definitely go back next time in Chicago. read more

Incredibly good authentic tacos and Mexican food. Just tried some tonight and to put it simply.... They were delicious! I got the barbacoa tacos along with chips and salsa and I'm essentially speechless. They were fantastic. The tacos were juicy and tasteful. The salsa for the chips had a good flavor as well. It had a kick to it but it wasn't too spicy. They do have a super spicy red sauce that comes in a small container with your food, that sauce is very good but very hot. I think this will be my new taco spot whenever I have a craving. The food is incredible (at least the tacos are). You can't go wrong! read more

I love Juquilita Tacos! As a very picky eater it is very hard to find good places to eat but Juquilita Tacos is my favorite restaurant ever! I moved to Virginia 4 years ago and I miss Juquilita Tacos so much I want to drive back to Illinois just to eat there. As a vegan it is so nice to find a Mexican restaurant that is so accommodating and willing to meet my dietary restrictions. The employees are all so friendly and kind. Autentico. Small and charming. It's better if you eat in even though there's maybe only 8 to 10 booths and a few tables. Because you definitely want the free chips and salsa. Definitely a dive kind of feel to this place. The food was good but don't come in expecting it to be Americanized Mexican food. It is definitely more toward the authentic side. This means you can get things like beef tongue tacos, or head meat tacos. In our case, The service was less than stellar. We had to ask for water refills. We had to ask for to go boxes. In both cases we had to flag down the server and get her attention to get those things. The chips and salsa were excellent though there was a charge for any refills. Our entrées were also very good, with large portions. When we asked for ice water with lemon, we got tapwater, no ice, and lime. It didn't matter that it was lime rather than lemon, just noting that we had asked for lemon. While it was good overall, we didn't find anything outstanding enough to put it on our regular list of places, particularly for Mexican food, that's why it just got an average rating. read more

Very good street tacos in a hole in the wall location. Not big enough for a bar you can get a beer. I'd like to try more of the menu but I keep looking at the tacos... I've had there other items from their food truck at a couple of area events. The truck is how I discovered the store even though I've probably driven by that location dozens of times. Aurora and North Aurora have many many small family Mexican restaurants; it would be challenging to try to go to all of them in a year so, like most people, we find a couple and basically remain fans. read more

I placed a walk in order for take out and i wanted 20 minutes for 2 tacos there was 2 tables that walked in after me and ordered and got their food right away. If i didn't get up and ask for my order who knows how much longer i could've been sitting there. Let me tell you!!! As soon as you walk in the door. You can feel the love in the atmosphere! It feels like home Every time you come through those doors. You're met with a smile.! This family owned restaurant is a great local spot to chill and eat.The food was really good and well-priced. The horchata drink is the best I've had in years!!! The also serve beer and a lot of small local restaurants don't serve beer with drinks. The top has to be the steak tacos and horchata overall! This place is great. Don't know how I've missed it all these years. The owner is very warm and welcoming brining fresh chips and salsa to the table immediately. He gave us ample time to order and provided some options of what he felt was best. My dad ordered the fish tacos and he said they were great. Nice and flaky with a lot of flavor. My wife ordered the pastor tacos and she said they are very authentic Mexican and you can clearly tell. I ordered the chile rellanos and they were good. They were green chiles and the batter was very light on it. The cheese was flowing and extra gooey. I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. This is our new favorite local spot! With so many options in the area, it can be hard to choose, but you can't go wrong here. It is definitely a hole in the wall with just a few tables, but the staff are friendly and the pickup works well every time. The burritos are huge and we love that they offer a vegetarian option. The guacamole is some of the best we've had outside of homemade and the chips are always crispy. We also love the refried beans... they have texture and aren't the brown mush you see at other places. We will continue to keep this in our rotation for Friday night takeout! read more

Decent place for Mexican food, nothing really stood out to me. The complimentary chips and salsa were good and the salsa had a nice kick to it. The $1.50 pork tamale in red sauce was average. The $2.50 tongue taco looked very nice, but was a lacking in flavor. The $2 elotes was on the bland side. We had the crazy burrito, al pastor taco dinner, chicken flautas dinner, churro (simple yet delicious), elotes, and horchata. They have monthly specials so make sure you check before you order and the crazy burrito was on February's special which I thought was great it consisted of steak, shrimp, fries, rice, avocado, and veggies.
