I had never heard of this place, but my mom had been telling me for months that I needed to come. She absolutely loves it, and today she finally convinced me. I'm glad she did! First, know that this isn't your typical sit-down restaurant. It's a humble, authentic spot that immediately reminded me of the small family restaurants I would visit in Mexico. The atmosphere feels genuine, and that's part of its charm. I ordered the menudo. It was just a little under-seasoned for my taste at first, but after adding a little salt, it was absolutely on point. My mom ordered a gordita, and she loved it--as expected. One of my favorite parts of the experience was walking to the back of the restaurant, where the real magic happens. They're making fresh carnitas, and the smell instantly took me back to my childhood, watching my dad make carnitas in a cazo in our backyard. If you go, don't miss the opportunity to head to the back and ask for a sample. They gladly offer a small taste, and it's absolutely delicious. They also sell fresh chicharrones, which are definitely worth taking home. The handmade tortillas are thick, soft, and exactly what you hope for in an authentic Mexican restaurant. They also offer a great variety of aguas frescas, and the green and red salsas disappoint; flavorful with a nice kick of spice. The service was outstanding. The women working there were incredibly sweet, welcoming, and caring. They reminded me of my own aunts, making the entire experience feel warm and familiar. Also, know that the Metro-link passes right by this restaurant and the nutrition shop next door seems to be having some good workout music blasting in the background! I'd like to also note that we got here around 8:15am. Overall, this was a fantastic experience. Great food, authentic flavors, friendly service, and plenty of menu options to explore. Muy ricas las carnitas y el precio se me iso justo y el sabor también, lo encontré en google nomás al asar como so Nuevo por acá . Venden tortillas recién echas por docena también, compré carnitas por libra y frijoles y arroz aparte y una docena de tortillas también y no me arrepentí. Te dan salsas , cebolla y cilantro y también cebolla curtida . El lugar está pequeño y medio escondido pero esos so los lugares donde la comida está rica , el aroma the lo dice al entrar, definitivamente voy a regresar y probar más platillos. This restaurant did not disappoint with the carnitas and the authentic Mexican food everything was freshly maid I did not mind the wait because everything was exactly what I expected it to taste like and better! They have great prices and the servings well let's just say they are not stingy in this economy! I really thought this place was going to be really good from the reviews but it was okay. I wouldn't say the best carnitas in fontana. They're good though. The salsas are very delicious. This place opened at 9am. I got there around 9:10. I ordered 3 carnitas tacos to go. I had to wait quite a long time to get them. Maybe since it just had opened, they still had to do their prepping but then it's like maybe they should open like at 9:30 so that they have time to prepare instead of making their customers wait. I probably wouldn't go back to eat there again, if I'm being completely honest. I feel like it could have been a better experience if the ladies working there would have at least been friendly. This place is one of the only places in Fontana that is authentically delicious and Mexican. I have tried other placds and no one beats this environment or taste. The customer service is top tier always welcomed with a smile and the workers remember you (I come here often). FUNKY FISHY SMELL IN THE MEAT I bought 5lb. of mixed carnitas from this place Saturday morning. At first the meat was warm and tasted well. Within just 4 hours I noticed a strange smell in my kitchen. It was a strange fishy sort of smell. The smell was the carnitas. The carnitas seem to have spoiled within just 4 hours they STUNK! The only way I see this happening is if old meat had been mixed with newer meat that was cooked that day. The food was certainly not fresh and I'm extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. If you go here please make sure that what you buy is fresh. Or maybe eat it within 30 minutes or it will be a waste. read more

A bit disappointed as we arrived at 4:40pm and the doors were already closed and there was a sign on the door that it was closed. We knocked on the door and the lady pointed to the sign. It looked like they had closed early. Bad for service if you put one thing and do another. How do you expect to get customers if you are closing before closing time. No bueno! Highly disappointed as we had to drive from Riverside and the traffic was horrendous as usual! Make sure you call before heading to their location. This appears to be a recently opened restaurant. It also seems to be family owned and operated. We ordered a chili verde burrito, two Al pastor tacos, and a side of beans. Everything was very good. Our waitress mentioned that her mom makes main dish meals that are different every day, so it's not your typical assembly line production. The ambiance is very casual; red checkered tablecloths on approximately six tables. It feels like a takeout situation, but it's quite comfortable to eat in. The owners are very nice and attentive.
