    Queen's Ruby Martini

The interior of this place is not what one would expect when seeing it from the outside. It's at a corner spot of a strip mall so parking is not a problem. I made reservations for a Saturday night and we were seated at a booth near the entrance. The service is friendly but not very attentive. For this visit, I've tried: FIRECRACKER SHRIMP- delicious BAKED OYSTERS (ROCKEFELLER) - they were ok CARBONARA ROME- this was good BEEF WELLINGTON- their Saturday special and it was very well prepared. I liked the QUEEN'S RUBY MARTINI cocktail, it had the perfect sweetness to it. My friends were also satisfied with their choice of cocktails as well. Like what I've said, the service was not attentive and our main entrees took a while to be served. We followed up our food with our server twice (after trying to find her) but she just kept saying "they should arrive shortly". I will come back to try other dishes. I've heard that their burgers are good here and that is their Wednesday special. I might have to come on a Wednesday to try it out. Hopefully, service will be better next time.

I had the scallop dinner, crab bisque soup, side salad and the salted caramel cake. For drinks they were both sweet and complimented the dishes. The ambiance was nice and service on point. They didn't have a dessert menu but instead had a dessert cart to visually show off their selections which was nice. Was a fun experience for a birthday celebration!

A restaurant in a strip mall. Until you walk inside. Well into the foyer. Where you are led into an intimately "U" shaped dining experience. It was Christmas time and the decorations were amazing to say the least. But that is not why you are here. It's for the food, and it didn't disappoint !!! My husband got the 66.00 five course meal. It started off with a shrimp salad appetizer that was so yummy, served up in a martini glass. It was followed up with a relish tray that had a lot of everything. Egg salad. Potato salad. Pickled beets. Spreadable beer cheese and toast sticks. Pickles. Carrots and celery, and being close to Christmas sugared cranberries. Everything was so yummy !!! Onto the entrees. I got the beef Wellington. (Be sure to ask for this right away or when you make your reservation reserve one) that was the best I have ever had. It was perfectly medium rare and the puff pastry was crispy. The gravy was very rich and the mashed potatoes were thick and delicious. My husband had roast chicken. It was half a bird with those delicious potatoes. The last course of the meal is a dessert and he choose Key Lime Pie. It was so good and obviously home made. The crust was epic !!! A bottle of red blend and a "supper club smash" that is an epic presentation itself tableside it was a fabulous meal. For all this it was 213 before tax. I have paid way more and left hungry. No way you are going to do this here. Also our server Joe was great !! Very friendly and informative and just a great interactive person. We will Be back and bring friends.

Tried Carnivore & The Queen for my husband's birthday and we were very impressed! From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but inside it is beautiful. They have specials every night, Thursday night was prime rib. There was also live jazz music that complemented the ambiance. We were right next to the musicians and we were able to enjoy the music but also have a conversation without raising our voices. We tried lots of dishes and everything was delicious! We will definitely go back.

Beware they charge $15 for birthday ice cream for birthday. Food was good. Service was good. loud music blasting in all dining area's while eating was the ambiance. Everything was good except the super loud music brought it down a star from 4 stars we will return when we hear from others that music is not as loud while dinning

Greeted by a friendly smile at the host stand. First impressions walking in is WOW!!! The atmosphere is eclectic. Seated in the back bar area. Live entertainment by Johnny Lyons. Take about a great entertainer!!! Joe was our server and he was so nice very attentive!!! The food shut the front door....i have no words. One of the best experiences we've had in a while from beginning to end. Highly recommend. PS ( I did forget to take pics of the main dishes )

Hidden gem in a small strip where Dairy Queen is. Never knew it was a very nice fancy restaurant. They have food specials every day except Tuesday, which had drink My friend and I shared the 5 course supper. You can change the chicken to steak or something else for just a bit more, but we wanted the chicken. It was plenty of food for the two of us. We ordered the French onion soup very cheesy and had a good amount of bread. Also, wasn't too salty. The shrimp and crab Louie was like a shrimp salad. It was light and delicious. The relish tray had many salty and pickled items. There was a small potatoe salad and a few crackers. Next we had the wedge salad and I guess you get to choose the dressing, but they didn't ask us and gave us blue cheese. I'm not a fan of blue cheese, so it would have been nice if they asked us. The chicken was 1/2 a chicken. The herbs underneath the skin was really good. And the white meat was juicy. There was some mushrooms underneath, Broccoli, and small side of mashed potatoes with gravy. Didnt really need the lemon horseradish, which was very strong and only a very tiny bit overpowered the herbs on the chicken. Dessert we had the chocolate torte and that was amazing. Very rich in chocolate with whip cream.

    Baked French Onion Soup!!!

Great food, menu, service, and atmosphere! What a great find! Found this restaurant on Yelp, we'll be back! Supper club feel with a modern twist, great service and a wonderful meal!

On Tuesdays, they offer a $49 tasting menu. The portions were large enough I couldn't finish…read moreeverything despite being voracious. While there was a spread, the meal was above average overall. The breakdown: 1st course - Parkerhouse Rolls: I have to give them points for showmanship. The beef tallow candle is a bona-fide candle! While there is an element of gimmickiness, it creates a fresh-tasting warm dip. The rolls themselves, while not the best bread I've ever had, were fresh, of perfect density, and wonderfully herbaceous. I give these a 8/10. 2nd course - Kale Caesar Salad: This is one where I tried a couple of forkfuls, and then said I didn't want anymore. I can award some consolation points for a healthy amount of parmesan, and accoutrements of garlic breadcrumbs, almonds, and egg yolk. Outside of these, however, the star of the show was a basic caesar dressing with kale that didn't taste much like anything. I give this a 2/10 3rd course - Grilled Oysters: This was hands down my favorite dish of the evening. I thought I wasn't a fan of cooked oysters, until I had these. The smell was as smoky as a campfire, the oysters cooked perfectly with a herbaceous and slightly acidic sauce and no fishiness! It reminded me of stupendously executed escargot. This dish deserves an 11/10. 4th course - Crispy Shrimp: The shrimp themselves were cooked well, and had an almost too-light breading. What helped elevate this dish was everything else. herbs, spices, sauce, olives, tomatoes, and greens all worked together well. It added savory, fresh, and acidic notes to the dish. An 8/10 from me. 5th course - Duck Confit Cigars: I appreciate what they were going for here, but the dish felt a little uninspired. They seemed more like a simple appetizer of duck rolled inside phyllo/wonton dough and fried. I can't complain about the marmalade, and it did help a little by adding sweetness and a little citrusy bitterness. These were pretty good, but if having a cigar, would rather have a Cuban - 7/10. 6th course - Marinated Cucumbers: Unlike the Caesar Salad, this vegetable course was superb. The flavor of the marinade was light and not at all overpowering. The cilantro added some herbiness, while the date puree added savory sweetness, and the garlic-chili crunch a little bite. No notes, a 10/10. 7th course - Skirt Steak & Crispy Smashed Potatoes: When the plate arrived in front of me, it made me wish for Smell-o-Vision, or, whatever the equivalent is here. Smell-o-Yelpision? The potatoes were divine, with the chicken cracklings helping add crunch, savor, and a heavenly smell. While I don't know if I can call them "smashed," they were still spud perfection. Spudfection? The steak was good, but not amazing. It was generally cooked well, though I can't say it was medium-rare throughout. While it was a fine cut and well seasoned, it was a hair shy of fork tender and melt in your mouth. The Aji Verde, while intended for the potatoes, went well with both. A dish that makes me wish I wasn't already full, and would devour everything in a heartbeat - 8/10. Dessert course - Apple Pie Cheesecake: Alas, by the time we got to the end, I was already stuffed. However, through and through the dessert screamed homemade by a pastry chef who knows what they're doing. Apple-y cake, lightly crisp crust, homemade whip, caramelized apple pieces, and gelato! Time to save room for dessert on a return visit! For being the apple of my sweet-tooth's eye; a 10/10. Drinks: I know that I had a Savoy Strut and a Blind Tiger. I'm sorry to say my mind did not retain specifics, but can tell you the cocktails added great creativity. Both were well-balanced in terms of sweetness, booziness, and savoriness, though not mind-blowing. A beer-goggle-less review of 9/10. Vibe: The atmosphere is a blend of moody, modern, and upscale. It has tasteful splashes of color, music playing at just the right volume, and tables not spaced too closely together. The bar seating reminded me of the uber-comfy bus driver seats that do a little ploosh when you sit. (10/10) Service: Credit to the bar-server for being friendly and welcoming, as well as making sure I was happy and asking for feedback on what about the salad I didn't like. However, I'd like to note as it was his first Tuesday shift, he didn't know about the Tuesday Tasting Menu, and some things arrived out of sequence. To be clear, this is not a failing of the server, but management for not offering proper, timely training, and having him work alone. Bonus to the staff for quickly 86'ing someone who was WAY too happy in public. Service gets a 7/10 Final verdict: I crunched some numbers. If "7" is average, Untitled Supper Club averages 8.2 on an equally-weighted basis. The tasting menu gave me a good picture of their offerings - enough to say what appetizers to get when coming with friends so I don't stuff myself with too much bread prematurely, unable to enjoy a dessert.

I love the ambiance of the place, feels very high end and intimate. Perfect place for a date night or girls night. Major complaint is that the waitstaff cleared my drink and our apps before I was done drinking and eating -_- . This happened as soon as we asked our waiter for the check. Thought that was pretty bad service, as we were still snacking on the apps, and I still had probably a quarter of my drink left. Guess they were ready to get us out of there as quick as possible. Other than that, the food that we shared and the drinks were pretty good. On the pricey end but I guess it makes sense given how nice the place is and the location. I'd definitely recommend for the show but would advise to hold off asking for the check until your REALLY finished.

I went here with my best friend and my hubby to celebrate my birthday with a great birthday dinner…read more We were in the Chi already visiting Atlas Stationary as a self-proclaimed station and fountain pen freak so we figured why not?!? I had heard great things about Carnivale prior to so please note that prior reservations were already made but regardless, it was all our first times there and we were stoked to finally try this place out. When we first got there, the outside was very unassuming. Some awesome graffiti on the wall (yes, angel wings included) and lots of color which made me so happy! As we entered, we were greeted by lots of colored flora on the walls and the floor. It led to a beautiful lounge where we checked in. The hostess was quite kind and they escorted us to another room that had multiple floors, two I believe. We were sitting in the main dining area where dining tables were set up and the ceiling lights and decorations were super-duper colorful. It was brightly lit and festive. Seriously, the colors alone could make anyone happy and do a serious dopamine overload which was fine with me. We sat down, was introduced to our server, Oscar and then given menu's. I genuinely thought that this place was pretty small initially because it looked small from the outside but boy was I wrong! This place was MASSIVE. But! I digress, now that we had our menu's-- Let the party begin!! We started with the ceviche tasting which included four types of ceviche; shrimp, Yucatan style hamachi, salmon and tuna. All were really good with their own really distinct flavors but our top favorites were the salmon and the tuna. The salmon had a kick while the tuna had a great balance of heat and sweetness. Great way to start of this dinner! My bestie ordered coconut shrimp and smoked mushroom croquettes for her main meal. My hubs ordered the carne asado while I ordered the lechon asada. I also want to add that we ordered Mexican street corn on the side alongside mashed potatoes and Peruvian Jalea. Ah and before I forget, we also ordered our drinks which consisted of a: sangria, margarita, Cotton Candy Cosmo and Salva Honduran Pilsner. All were spectacular and made the night that more enjoyable as well! When we received our food. We were all really enjoyed it as we all shared our bites amongst one another. The coconut shrimp was well breaded and you tasted the coconut as well. The shrimps were large and juicy. The smoked mushroom croquettes were good with a smokey flavor and good breading, however, the breading may have a been a little thick because you couldn't really taste the mushroom,m unfortunately. The carne asado was the star of the show. Well seasoned steak, cooked medium rare which was juicy and succulent. The lechon asado was good. Although I'm not used to eating lechon asado that is covered in sauce, the sauce was super tasty so I didn't mind the tender, juicy pork that was covered in it. I really enjoyed it. I think the only thing that I wish was different with regards to my lechon asado is that I wish it were hotter because it was luke warm when I received it. Other than that, it was....*chef's kiss*. The Mexican street corn was alright, it honestly just tasted like regular corn with mayonaise in it with some cheese. Didn't add anything significant to the meal. The mashed potatoes were soft but not too soft and buttery. They were really good and then the Purvian Jalea was another favorite, super good! The calamari, fish and shrimp with the Purvian Jalea were absolutely delicious; fresh, tasty and well breaded. It was absolutely yummalicious. To top the night off, they gave me a little birthday treat of cotton candy and carmel popcorn. We also had some tres leches which was so yummy because the fruit was fresh and you could taste the milk in the tender cake and then we had the chocolate cigar. The chocolate cigar was also really good, everything except the label was edible, It was smokey, chocolately and delectable. It's presentation was also so creative. We all loved it. Overall, this restaurant is SUPER PRICY but SUPER WORTH IT. I am so glad that I was able to go there to celebrate a special occasion because it would not be a place that I could go to on a regular basis but as much as I wish I was, ya girl ain't rich like that. The service was superb, the employees were kind, the food was fire and drinks were scrumptious. If you're looking for a fun, Latin cuisine inspired, creative, yummy way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion with a fun Latin twist--look no further, that is it! Check it out and you won't be disappointed. Now, I'm sorry for my novel and you may now go back to your normal programming schedule. If you do end up coming here and loving it -- i told ya so ;)

The service was quick and attentive, and although the place was busy we didn't have to wait on a Friday night. We were fairly unfamiliar with the menu options but came with a big appetite, our waiter recommended the empanadas for an appetizer and they were great! Perfectly fried and super crispy, and you could tell the oil they were using was clean which is always a great sign for the rest of the experience for me. The decorations were SUPER cool. They went over the top for the holidays. Even if it's almost February... Both my lady and I ordered margaritas, and they were the best we've had since we moved down. They were STRONG, but not overly so. 1 was enough, 2nd was for fun. As we were leaving the table next to us ordered a pour of tequila and they did it tableside. I had the Colombian flank steak plate. While I can say I came with a big appetite and I can eat, this was about the first time I can say I left a restaurant still hungry. I knew what I was getting into since the menu did state the size of the steak, and I guess it's not a huge minus I left wanting more! The margaritas probably played a part too. The plate was phenomenal. I ordered the steak medium rare, but it was a little on the rare side which I don't mind at all. Everything molded perfectly and no flavor overpowered the other. One of the tastiest meals I've had in a long time. The only thing holding back this place from a 5 is the portions and prices. $4 for two shrimp seemed insane, and adding options to the margaritas makes each one almost $16. It certainly doesn't deserve the low 3 star rating on this app. Can't wait to come back!
