This place has fun food and the food is good overall. Love the atmosphere and service and location next to lots of fun other food places and free open parking but definitely do not love the very salty food. I couldn't take much of a bite of my Legends Philly sauced steak bc of the salt. Indoor and outdoor seating was great too. They have healthy options and what's amazing is they also allow you to substitute other sides if you get french fries with a hamburger for example, and instead you could have a chili or a veggie side or Parmesan fries or onion rings for example. The wings were very good (10 wings for $24) and plenty of meat and yummy sauce. The wait staff were very nice and friendly and attentive. Indoor and outdoor seating and close to other restaurants where you have a nice atmosphere of a buzz of people around you. Free and open parking lot. The legends Philly was a sandwich with a side and I ordered the shaved steak with provolone and onions and green peppers. It was good non fatty meat and tasty but just too salty.

Came in around 8pm and it didn't seem too busy. Got seated right away and took a little to look over menus. The menu selection isn't too big which I appreciated. I had ordered a bruschetta chicken sandwich which came with fries and I also got a side of ranch. Ranch was nicely seasoned reminded me of wingstop ranch. Fries were good and crispy with good amount of salt and pepper seasoning. Sandwich was okay there was something missing with the bruschetta and or maybe it was the pretzel bun with the sandwich couldn't tell. Waited about 20 minutes for food. It's clean inside. Server seemed a bit annoyed at us for just breathing so i don't know if she was having an off day or not but definitely made us uncomfortable.

Legends is a cool spot in Woodridge. The atmosphere is laid back. From the host to the bartender, managers and server just outstanding Tyler, Nico, Jenny & Sam. It's a well oiled machine. Tried the rib tips, and a prime rib sandwich. Off the chain with flavor & tastes!! These ciders were amazing, photos below. Definitely will come back! Keep it up!!!

We came here at the recommendation of my girlfriend's coworker. It is $0.99 wings and shrimp on Wednesday's. I was a little skeptical that the wings would be really small (looking at you Buffalo Wild Wings). However, I was wrong. The wings are pretty beefy and you get your money's worth. We ordered lemon pepper, parmesan garlic, sweet chili, and honey bbq. The wings come with celery and a choice of ranch or bleu cheese sauce. The wings are crispy especially with the dry rub and very juicy on the inside. There is good flavor on the inside and outside (unlike Wings Time). This is probably the second best place for wings on Wednesday's besides Fast Eddy's. I saw that the shrimp are also big for the price. Service could be a lot better, granted that it was mostly two waitresses. Parking is ample, although it can get busy on special nights. Prices on the other items looked reasonable for the portions.

First time here. We got seated right away on a Saturday night. The servers were prompt and polite. Food came out quickly. The Carnitas Rolls appetizer was delicious! The steak sandwich was fine. A sandwich steak is never top shelf. Some bites are not completely tender, but it tasted pretty good. Tots were probably basic frozen tots. Fine. The signature cocktail I ordered was tasty enough but it was an awful lot of ice in a little on-the-rocks glass. That's a tiny little mixed drink for $13. Not cool. I didn't order a shot on the rocks, it was bourbon peach iced tea. I don't expect a glass full of whiskey, but a mixed drink that's mostly tea should be more than a couple of sips in a glass full of ice cubes. The bar is very loud! Not my thing. There were dozens of tvs, almost all playing the same Bulls game. And just a cavernous room of noise.

Went to Legends Woodridge for a pre-movie bite to eat and drink. Mondays offer 1/2 price appetizers which we were ecstatic about! Each appetizer was delicious and the bartender were on top of the fully occupied bar! As soon as my drink was empty, they were by to ask if I wanted another. As soon as we stacked our plates, they were by to clean up. The inside decor was a mix of sports bar, natural brick, and craft beer branding. There was also an outside patio to utilize. We would certainly come back to this location or others! My only complaint was a bartender broke a glass in the ice bucker but didn't appear to empty it while we there but it might not have been an ice bucket for drink ice.

Cheese quesadilla ($8) with sour cream and salsa

FLAVOR OF THE WEEK There's enough daily specials at this sports pub in Woodridge to keep things interesting across several visits. The Seven Bridges area off of Route 53 has no shortage of restaurants, including Lima Fresca (tacos/mexican), Ike & Oak (brewery), Chef Soon (sushi), Clara's (italian), VIP (thai), plus a Buffalo Wild Wings. Legends fits in well as a bar/grill with tons of TV's and great draft beer. Cheese curds ($10) w/marinara are always a good call. Quesadillas ($8) come with sour cream + salsa, and you can add chicken or steak for $4 extra. Pretzel bites ($10) aren't bad, but I wish they came with honey mustard instead of just nacho cheese. Their mango habanero wings are FIRE, better than B-dubs, Wingstop, or anywhere else, honestly. Really hot and packed with flavor. Spicy garlic were decent, too--wings come 10 to an order for $15. Don't forget to ask for celery and blue cheese or ranch! The house nachos ($11) are merely OK; they're piled high with jalapenos, cheese and chili, which makes them a messy affair. Soggy chips are one of my bar food bugaboos, and sadly that's what I get when ordering the nachos here. Burgers are pretty solid. I've had the 'Big Bleu' ($14) that comes with smoked bacon and a serving of seasoned fries, my buddy's ordered the American burger (lettuce, tomato, mustard, $12) and my dad once had the Legends burger (cheddar, bbq, onion straws, $14). All of them got thumbs up. Bread = 4 Circuses = 3.5 Monday's specials are $3.50 domestic pints and half priced appetizers, a great value as beer and apps are all I usually get here anyway. Tuesdays are $3 tacos and $5 margaritas, Wednesdays are 99¢ wings and $14 buckets, Thursdays are $9 burgers and $5 Tito's, and then there's fish fry Friday (fish Fry-day?) Service has been alright, although it's occasionally been spotty. Last visit it took a while to be greeted/get our drink orders in. Atmosphere is sports-centric, with dozens of flatscreens showing everything from baseball to bowling. Their outdoor patio is nice when the weather is agreeable (which in Chicago is usually only 4-5 months. Dang northern climate....) * TL;DR * I've been to Legends several times over the years and like them enough to return again in the future. The daily deals on food & booze are definitely the highlight. Draft brews are varied and reasonably priced, the grub better than average. Sports bars are a dime a dozen so separating yourself from the pack isn't easy, yet I think Legends has managed to hold their own. I'll for sure be back on a Monday or Wednesday to get my drink on!

THE USUAL SUSPECTS…read more This dive bar in Lisle is a haven for townies, which is certainly a vibe. Maple Ave Pub is, unsurprisingly, on Maple Ave just west of Route 53 in the western suburbs of Chicago. I'd estimate I've stopped here close to a dozen times, although a handful of those instances I neglected to check-in on Yelp for fear of my wife seeing it ("I thought you were coming straight home from work....") An older woman's been behind the counter seemingly every time, taking drink orders and making small talk. She's friendly--moreso with the locals than with me--and I'll occasionally get called 'hun', 'sweetie', etc, which is endearing. I got way better service from the hot tattooed barkeeps at Brauer House in Lombard, however. To be perfectly honest, I've never eaten anything here. The wings look like they might pass muster, though there's a few items that raise an eyebrow (clam chowder at a dive bar? thanks, I'll pass). Possum Pub in Melrose Park had surprisingly good food, and it was a major dive, so perhaps I ought to give the grub here a shot sometime. They have several pool tables, a Big Buck Hunter, Golden Tee, dart board, boxing machine, and pair of pinball machines; as of 6/19/24 they've got a Star Trek premium (Stern, 2013) and JAWS (Stern, 2024). In the past they had Oktoberfest (American Pinball, 2018), Fish Tales (Williams, 1992), and a stunning Circus Voltaire (Bally, 1997). Last week, the A/C wasn't working so this place was SWELTERING on one of the hottest days of the year. Normally I stick around for a couple pints and 2-3 games of pinball, but it was so toasty inside (worse than outside) I only played 1 game and skipped the beer completely. There were no fans on, either. * TL;DR * Dive bars are all well and good, but maybe it's time I found a new spot to hit up for a cheap domestic pint. Over the years I've gotten a handful of looks that can be described as quizzical at best, and dirty at worst. I've been ignored by the bartender numerous times--with cash in hand, mind you--while she's chatting away with regulars, as I'm standing there absolutely parched. I want to like Maple Ave Pub, but the feeling doesn't seem mutual. If it weren't for the pinball tables, I probably wouldn't return.

We went on Super Bowl Sunday the first time, and were seated right away. Our waitress, Ciera, explained the specials to us and gave us some time to decide on our order. She was great, the right mix of attentiveness but not hovering, super friendly too. On Sundays, apps, crocks, and salads are all half off. Such an amazing deal, especially in this economy. My husband really enjoyed their devils eggs, he ate all 12! The appetizer sampler was great, and we ordered 10 wings with the devils sauce. Ciera was concerned it may be too spicy for us, so we tried a sample with some fries. It's delicious! The devils sauce is one of the components of the wing challenge, so we understand her concern. We went back again on Valentine's Day for a late stop after a busy day. They have a $5 burger and fry special. Again, great food at a great price! Ciera waited on us again, and again, she was incredible. The bartender was very friendly when we were coming and going, and the rest of the staff we saw on Super Bowl Sunday seemed very hard working as they prepped take out orders for the game.
