    Missing lug nut.
    PaPa C.

I bought a van from these guys and got it home only to find out one of the motor mounts had two stripped bolts. I took it back to them and asked them to fix it. They look at it for two days and called me to come pick it up. They told me everything was functioning properly. After threatening to return the vehicle, they miraculously found the problem. They kept the car for two weeks and fixed the motor mount. Now I have a missing lug nut and a ripped CV axle boot. The professionalism is a ridiculous joke. Consider yourself warned!!

purchased a 2017 Dodge Challenger for over 24k, they gave me a printout of a Maryland passed inspection, I drove the vehicle sparingly fro a week and felt the vehicle pulling to the left, which means I would need an alignment but that shouldn't be possible if it passed inspection that has a passed alignment check, I took it to a mechanic and they revealed that there was a badly bent control arm and there was no way in this world that this vehicle could have passed an inspection. I reached out to CARNOVA and they did not want to fix it at all, so because of work I had to fix it and thought I would be reimbursed; that was not the case the mechanic called me and told me that they replaced the control arm but that wasn't the initial issue, the issue was that the vehicle has "FRAME DAMAGE"!!!! I reached out to CARNOVA and they told me "oh well I signed a contract", I am now in a legal battle to reverse this contract with the bank and the dealership. for the love of GOD almighy STAYYYYYYYYYY AAAWWWAAAYYYYYYY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!

As Carnova's most loyal customer, I have to tell you that this is by far the most honest, well managed, and best high quality used cars dealership you can ever find in DMV areas. 1. I have been buying 20+cars from Carnova since 2011, the process is very easy and there is no pressure selling. The office is nice with coffee and complimentary sodas. 2. They offer free Uber rides and free delivery services, all of their cars have been inspected and passed state inspection. The quality of their used cars are A+, with very good price on performance vehicles. 3. For example, I brought more than 4 BMW 750Li from Carnova, one of them requires replacement of valve cover gasket, the boss Rashid took care of my car with a brand new gasket free of charge and offered me a loaner. 4. Most recently I brought a Mercedes S550, after hours of driving the car stopped working with ABS/ESP errors. The owner offered me free towing to the German Auto Group and fixed the sensor issue free of charge within a day. The owner Rashid is so nice, honest, and friendly to customers. I can promise me you that there is not a single dealership is willing to offer free repair on used cars except Carnova. I have pledged to become Carnova's lifetime customer, can't wait to get my next car here soon!

In other words, unless the carfax symbol is directly next to the vehicle listed, when you look up the VIN number of the vehicle listed, you will see this message (at the minimum): "Alert! Severe problems were reported by a state Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). This vehicle does not qualify for the CARFAX Buyback Guarantee." The nissan cube listed on their site now has had one total loss and two additional severe accidents - YIKES! I'm not saying don't buy from here, just be VERY aware of what you are buying. do the research yourself before going into the dealer (of which, this dealer seems to get many of their cars from auction, so take that as you will).

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE. I would give it zero stars if I could!!!!!!!…read more My husband and I were in the market for a used SUV and found one online via Yahoo Autos and the dealership was Regal Motors. The price listed on Yahoo Autos was $7900, yet the price listed on Regal Motors' website was $8450. We were interested in this vehicle so we went to the dealership on Saturday the 24th of April to look at it and do a test drive. When we told the employee that we wanted to check out the vehicle, he just gave us the keys and didn't go on the drive with us, which I thought was odd, but we went for a drive anyway. Everything went fine during the test drive, but when we got back to the dealership, my husband looked under the hood and there was a honeycomb (yes, a bee's honeycomb) on the inside of the hood! This tells me that they probably don't take very good care of their vehicles and that it's been sitting there for awhile. It didn't seem like a big deal, so we express interest to David, and after some negotiation, he quoted us at $8100 out the door (including taxes, fees, title). I went to my bank, applied for an auto loan for that amount, and when Regal Motors sent them the buyers order, the amount somehow jumped to $9000. I immediately canceled the bank draft and called Regal Motors to see what was going on. At first, David denied ever quoting us at $8100 out the door, and then he eventually said "I probably DID quote you at that price, but that's so weird." And when I went on the Yahoo Autos website, they had already changed the price. Afterwards, I found a website called DealerRater.com and saw all of the terrible reviews and I am SO GLAD I didn't purchase a vehicle from them. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. This is a very dishonest dealership! They are a bunch of scam artists who sell cars with TONS of mechanical problems.

I called my husband after the GM became combative with me. No matter what I said or how I spoke, he was just nasty. You know the type...just a man that doesn't know how to engage with a woman, it was likely because I was black. He told me that it is his dealership and they don't have to keep records and if I didn't buy a warranty then my business with them was done. I wasn't even asking for service, just records of the "so called service." Everyone claims service was done but nobody can produce any documentation and that's because they don't do anything to those vehicles. He towered over me and other men gathered around in an effort to intimidate me. He told me to get out, I called him a jerk and he agreed he was a jerk and he even admitted to selling me a lemon. Another tough guy, followed me outside and another came from around the aside for little ole me and I never once raised my voice. Folks are intimidated when you know the law, have your facts and expose them. I'm kicking myself for canceling that PPI!!! I paid several thousand dollars in cash and ensuring that the car has fluids is basic maintenance. I already reached out to a lawyer. It is my understanding that they are problematic and refuse to keep proper records although they are required to do so. I'm not stopping until there are some results. I'm going to start a petition and I'm going straight to Instagram to make them viral!!!

Let me start off by saying I have no one but myself to blame. Anybody who buys a used car without…read morefirst taking it to an independent mechanic for inspection is either independently wealthy or not very bright. I was in the market for a Honda Element. Honda introduced the Element in 2001 and discontinued it in 2011. The vehicle has developed a cult following since it's demise which means owners are asking way too much for them. Stafford Motors had a 2003 Element EX AWD that they were asking $5400 for. What attracted me to the vehicle wasn't just the low price, in fact the price made me a little leery. What attracted me was a clean Carfax report and a recent Virginia Inspection. The day of the test drive was not ideal. Traffic was horrible. The 95-mile drive took me three hours, jeopardizing my scheduled appointment to look at another Element in Leesburg. I arrived just before noon armed with a code reader and a flashlight. Unfortunately, I could not find the ODB port on this vehicle. The manual shows it just above the fuse box (above the gas pedal) but there was no port to be found. I'm no mechanic but I've owned enough hoopties' to look for the obvious problems: Oil/coolant leaks, rust, flood damage, etc. The car looked clean. I took it out for what I considered a vigorous test drive on the back road behind the dealership. I wasn't impressed with the acceleration but we're talking about a 3300-pound vehicle being pulled by a 2.4-liter 4 cylinder. I stomped on the breaks a couple of times. The pedal didn't feel as firm as I like but break jobs are within my wheelhouse, especially disk brakes. The paint on the upper dash was peeling a bit but I wasn't buying the car for its aesthetic beauty. I was more concerned with the mechanics. What I didn't do was take it out on the freeway. 95 south was a parking lot so I figured what's the point (fatal mistake number 1). I decided since the Carfax was clean and the vehicle was recently inspected, I would forego the mechanic's inspection (fatal mistake number 2) and buy the vehicle. I had driven my other car to the dealership so I arranged to pick up the Element the following Tuesday. Rebecca, the saleswoman, asked that I call her prior to coming out so that they could detail the car prior to pick up. Monday evening, I called her to let her know I would be arriving Tuesday just before noon. I showed up, as promised. They were still detailing the car and putting on temporary plates. Meanwhile, I filled out the final paperwork. They handed over the keys and I was on my way home. I jumped on 95 north and accelerated to highway speed. The vehicle seemed to have more pickup than it did during the test drive (great) but at about 70 miles per hour, I noticed it pulling to the right. At first, I chalked it up to wind (The shape of the Element isn't exactly aerodynamic) but when I let go of the wheel the vehicle practically changed lanes. "This thing is going to need an alignment," I thought. Turns out it was going to need much more than that. During the Maryland State inspection, the mechanic flagged three items. The windshield wipers (no big deal), the rack and pinion assembly (Wait, what?) and a leaky power steering pump. The repairs would cost 1600 dollars. I asked them to hold off and called Rebecca. "Call the warranty company and see if it's covered," she suggested. I already knew the answer before I called but the "limited" warranty only covered engine and drive train. I was screwed. The sale was "as is." An independent mechanic would have flagged the problem immediately but old dummkopf decided to skip the inspection. It wasn't even a matter of money. I would have gladly paid for the inspection. I just didn't want to waste another day driving back and forth from Stafford. The trip took me 6 and a half hours. I didn't want to dedicate another day to Stafford Virginia. I called Pep Boys and told them to go ahead with the repairs. This would be another expensive lesson dished out by a Virginia Used Car lot. Pep Boys didn't have the part in stock so it would be a couple of days until the work could be completed. I went over the sequence of events that led to my stupid decision. Then it hit me. If this vehicle doesn't meet Maryland State requirements, how the hell did it pass a Virginia Inspection? I knew why the CarFax report didn't mention anything. The problem probably was never reported. I went online to see what my options were. I called Stafford Motors and requested the name of the garage that performed the inspection. I know there are garages out there that will pass unsafe vehicles for a little scratch on the side. If this is one of them, I intend to report them to the Virginia State Attorney's office. I know it probably won't get me my money back but hopefully, it will put the inspectors and Stafford Motors on blast. Virginia used car dealers: Avoid at all costs.

When I got to the second address, the truck was not there, despite me clearly asking multiple times beforehand if the truck was at the dealership. They then tried to get me to sign paperwork and said the truck would be delivered to my house instead. On top of that, they changed the down payment amount from what we had previously agreed on. After Audi of Bethesda Dealership did a $900 diagnostic because it's a Audi hybrid I was told the engine would have to be taken out and the timing chain would need to be replaced which is a $9000 repair. Resultingly the credit union returned my $3000 I paid for the warranty. I reached out to Marcos and wanted to return the car to but he would not take it back. I guess that what I get for paying for the car outright. Marcos owns an electric car which he mentioned to me and that he is saavy with reprogramming computers in cars. Thus, I believe he tinkered with this vehicle computer to get it sold before the engine light came on. Marco referred me to an "Audi Specialist" in Manassas who gave me false information about the car but not before he sqeezed me out of $1200 in repairs. He claimed he fixed the problem and turned off the check engine light so I could drive it the 500 miles for a warranty to fix the problem. BIG FAT LIE!!! Once I got a warranty with Car Shield and the 500 or so miles, I took it to the dealer again and got the same diagnostic. I contacted Car Shield after I put it back in Audi of Arlington and they came in with a forensic engine specialist that put cameras through the engine to prove they were not responsible for the issue. According to the computer it was able to provide a freeze frame of the actual time and date of the original check engine light after I got the car and of course it was before Car Shield warranty was obtained. I was stuck with a car that needed fixing so I took it to another Audi repair shop in Pasadena, Md that offered to fix it for $3600. That did not happen!! He made so many excuses such as my dog died, Covid issues, parts stuck on ships in the ocean from Germany, blah blah blah. The car left his shop worse than it came in.
