Food was good, but service was very bad. Server deliberately ignored us multiple times throughout the meal. Took at least 10 mins for her to come by to take our order. At least the omelet and breakfast burrito were good. We were there on a weekday and the space was half full, but it took 25+ mins to get the bill after we finished our meal. All attempts to flag the server down were blatantly ignored. I finally stood at the cash register to pay and she walked by me several times, and continued to ignore me until I held up my card and asked if I could pay. Can't really recommend this place. 3 stars because the food was okay and it's a clean space. But the service sucks and I probably deleted brain cells listening to Fox news blaring on the TV. The bacon was crispy like I like it, the home fries were from the bottom of the pile (if you know you know), the eggs were decent could have been a bit fluffier but they were fine, the pancakes were the star!! Fluffy with crispy edges! So good. The coffee came in an oversized mug. It was huge and there was no need for a refill. I spoke with the owner. I think her name is Kim. She told me they used to be in Everett for 30 years and moved here 3 years ago. This was right around the time COVID hit. They were open for 3 weeks and needed to close right back down. I asked what she did during that time and she shared that she donated over 10,000 meals to support people locally! That made me smile and was definitely a story worth sharing. The place isn't huge but it's decorated really cute and the bathroom was decorated like a bathroom in a cool little beach house. Get ready! Carol's is opening soon for dinner! Columbian food. We dined on the most delicious shrimp tacos, ribs, and other Columbian treats last night during the "soft" opening. If you can, go. It is a small place and you won't be able to get in when it opens and people discover this food! There is always chicken soup; the appetizer corn dip was out of this world; the service is thorough - it's like you are home and your mom wants to make sure you have enough to eat. This is a welcome addition to Wakefield restaurants. Also, an important point for me - very clean. I found out about the night opening because I have breakfast at Carol's every Tuesday on my way to my painting class. I wanted to support Jenny; I knew the food would be good, but I was amazed at how delicious it was! My companion wants to come back as often as we can!!!! This is a great little breakfast spot that just opened in what used to be a Chinese restaurant. The ambiance is cute, with fun signs and a light atmosphere. The food is made to order and tasty. Attempted to phone order breakfast this morning, no answer. Went to location, door was locked 6:35am, sign says "Open Daily 6:30am", so I knocked. Gentleman came from around the corner/kitchen & I waved at him. He proceeded to turn around and walk back to the kitchen. He did NOT come out to greet me or even acknowledge me or address that his establishment was unable to open at the posted time. I waited until 7am and called the restaurant & spoke to the gentleman, he explained he had a late night fundraiser at the Aquarium and his help wasn't there when I was at the restaurant front door. He then told me to have a nice day and hung up the phone on me. I called back once again & the young lady who answered indicated it was her Dad and pleaded for me not to write a review. At this point the story changed, apparently there was a family emergency last night... Not sure who to believe, but I can tell you EXACTLY where to go if you want to be disrespected! Do not give these people your money, they have no business sense and do not deserve to serve food to the general public. read more

Ordered for the first time from here via Uber eats- delivery was great and although there was some minor spillage from the boxes, everything stayed in place for the most part. We ordered the corn beef hash, biscuits and gravy (yum!), the eggs Benedict, and the three egg breakfast. Everything was great besides my eggs Benedict, which I'll include a picture of. There was no hollandaise sauce on it and just seemed like there was a thin layer of butter put on it. The eggs were cooked nicely but the potatoes could've used a bit more seasoning. Fantastic....we left the airport and got off the highway and Goggled places to eat. We saw Carol's Cafe and went not knowing what to expect. What we got was the best breakfast experience we've had in a long time. My ham and cheese omelette was the best omelette I have ever had and my wife had scrambled eggs and bacon and it was fantastic. The staff was amazing, attentive and friendly. I wish I lived closer because I would go there all the time. This place is the real deal when it comes to a local breakfast joint. I was in the neighborhood and decided to order takeout from this place. I looked at the menu online and decided on a couple breakfast sandwiches and a side of corned beef hash. The online platform (and Uber Eats) showed me a total of about $15. Figuring it would be about the same or a little cheaper in person, I placed the order over the phone. But when I got there and they rang me up they said around $22. Thinking I must've been mistaken, I paid the $22 (plus a tip) and asked for the receipt.
