If you're into healthy/crunchy/granola lifestyle, this place seems legit full on (not sure if the coffee is fair trade kind of thing, but I didn't try/ask). Got takeout for the Breakfast Blend smoothie, My Goodness salad, chicken shawarma wrap and falafel wrap. Food was nicely flavored, though relatively mild - not super exciting but it probably allows more vege flavor to come through. The wraps look grilled but the food wasn't hot like you might think a grilled thing might be, so it's acting more like something done for flavor and looks. The wraps might have been nice with some pops of brighter flavor, and the falafel wrap could benefit from some additional texture, because it's akin to the smoothness of a tuna salad. 5 yo and 9 yo kids enjoyed the wraps though, so that's a win. Salad was also generally nicely flavored/mild, but I kind of wanted a bit more flavor from the marinated beets (in combination with the rest, it was fine). Smoothie has a strong kick from ginger and radish, and is not very sweet (just know what you're getting into and not be surprised expecting some overly sweet smoothie). I've only been here twice and have only done takeout of the falafel wrap... both times this sandwich has been IT. So good, nicely toasted wrap, and keeps you full for a while. The falafel sandwich was bangin, great flavor and perfect portioning. 10/10 The turkey sandwich was incredible as well, all of the fresh veggie dressing, and the turkey itself was so delicious and moist. Another 10/10! I could recommend all of their sandwiches based on the two I ordered! The delivery packaging was simple yet efficient. Both sandwiches sliced with the turkey being wrapped in paper. Wow, this place is the real deal. Stopped in late afternoon on a Saturday. It's on the Main Street of Wakefield; I recommend parking on one of the side streets because it's tough to find a spot on the main road. We ordered a Caprese sandwich and falafel pita sandwich. Amazing. The Caprese was my favorite though, because of the great (seemingly homemade) bread, and the thick slices of mozzarella. I loved that all of the to-go packagings were compostable. They sell some tremendous artisanal chocolate at the register. Low on added sugar and sweetened with just a touch of honey. I highly recommend the spicy cayenne. The staff was very friendly; it seemed like a family-run business. Great to see that! Check it out, it's worth the drive, and you won't be disappointed. read more

Hm... have had some questionable meals here the last two times we got food from them. Inconsistent and weird. Zaalouk was stone cold (you could tell it was previously hot) and smelled not great, falafel sandwich was not tasty and even hot sauce didn't make it better. I also had the beet juice here a few visits ago and it was undrinkable with all of the ginger falling to the bottom and the temperature of the juice was lukewarm. I was excited to learn about a new healthy option in Wakefield, and it definitely did not disappoint. This place replaced the former Subway sandwich shop on Main St. I've stopped by three times so far and have tried a different smoothie each time that were all delicious: the Post Workout, Chocoholic, and Paradise--so far, I've liked the Paradise the best. I had ordered this food to my hotel when I wasn't feeling well. I had some kind of mozzarella panini (it wasn't the caprese sandwich but similar). It tasted great but was pretty soggy because of the balsamic dressing on it. I also got the Paradise smoothie which may very well be the best smoothie I ever had in my life. I was sad I didn't order a bigger size. I wanted so badly to get it again before leaving MA but didn't have time. I would totally come here again just for that! read more

So so good! It's health conscious but also environmentally friendly! PAPER straws and compostable cups/containers. The owners were super friendly too. I spent an hour here sipping their green drink and it was an awesome way to spend my Friday morning. Not too busy around 8:30, but when I left around 9:30 it started to fill up. I took an Acai bowl to go and the owner let me know to throw it in the freezer if I didn't eat it immediately, which was just an extra step out of his way to ensure that I continued to enjoy my experience even after I left. I work about a 10 minute drive away, and I'll definitely start to frequent this place. Can't wait to try some lunch options! So delicious. My new fav!! We happened upon Leaf and Ginger while looking at homes in Wakefield and I have to say it was excellent! i had the turkey and avacado panini which was the best I've ever had. The ingredients were so fresh and toasted to perfection. The baba was also outstanding with the perfect ingredients. Everyone in our group was so pleased! The owner and his son were very friendly and it's clear they are proud owners. We can't wait to go back and try more of what they offer. The kale salad was missing multiple ingredients: there was a note explaining that they didn't have any quinoa, so they gave brown rice on the side, but there was no explanation for the missing sweet potatoes. Stopped in one sunny afternoon when I was early to meet my sister for a walk around Lake Quannapowitt (also recommended :-). The owner was there, and I chatted with him and the counter staff before settling on a classic chicken shawarma wrap. Fresh, hearty, delicious. The owner also gave me a sample of his 'deconstructed' falafel, where he crumbles the patties and mixes them with tahini sauce - simple change, but made really changed the dish - this way every bite is moist and more flavorful. I was one negative review, and agree the prices here are higher than one typically finds at most Middle Eastern eateries, but the freshness and quality are demonstrably better here, so I'd argue it's worth the difference.
