As a licensed realtor in another state I didn't need to take the class but decided to force myself to sit there so I could retain the information and pass my state exam. I will say the instructor we had was top notch, not boring in the least, and definitely had a way of presenting the materials to make them stick. I was in and out in 2 1/2 days and they combined it with the full class for those people looking to get their license which to me and made all the sense in the world. The booklet they gave me for the state materials was pre-highlighted so all I had to do was make my own notes and add additional highlighter for those items I needed to focus on. I was quite pleased and felt that my money was well worth what I got!

My son has been blessed with two incredible coaches- they have provided skills for the field and beyond, building strong leadership, accountability, respect and a genuine love for the game. The coaches go above and beyond to build bonds with each child, between team mates and even families. The organization as a whole is organized; the fields (and bathrooms) are wonderfully maintained. Choosing the YMCA for rec soccer was one of the best decisions I've made to develop my sons athletic experience.

I was pushed out of the last gym I went to because my leg gave out and their so called lifeguard had to come back to the pool. I was pushed out of that gym because I was complaining about having to get a note from my doctor. When I came back in I was told that my membership was cancelled. Now the YMCA won't reserve the use of the handicap facilities for the handicapped. I was in the regular locker room which has 1 handicapped shower and had another member yelling at me because she needed a shower with grab bars. I was in the regular locker room because the three handicapped accessible showers in the Family locker room were taken by able-bodied members. When I complained about the able-bodied people using the handicapped showers I was told that she (management) had to wait sometimes to get into the showers. The difference is she is able-bodied and had to wait for an able-bodied person to get out of the shower. I am HANDICAPPED and have to wait for an ABLE-BODIED person to get out of the HANDICAPPED shower. The last time when the lady was yelling at me about her needing the grab bars there were 4 showers open without grab bars. So, I don't understand how they can tell me that the YMCA doesn't have to keep the handicapped facilities available for the hadicapped. I was also told that their legal council told them that they didn't have to reserve the handicapped facilities for the handicapped. I don't understand why they will let the able-bodied make the Handicapped wait for the Handicapped showers when there are able-bodied showers available for them.

Two summers ago, I took my first surfing lesson, but despite working with three different…read moreinstructors since then, I felt like a "sock in a dryer" struggling to catch a wave. Determined to make this summer different, I booked a hotel in Myrtle Beach and sought out surf lessons. When I stumbled upon nativesurflessons.com, something magical happened. As I explored the website, particularly the Meet The Instructor section on the About page, I felt an immediate connection with Chris, the instructor. His passion for surfing and genuine care for people shone through, making it clear that this was the right place for me. The warm greeting I received from his wife when I called to book my session was a wonderful taste of the famed "Southern Hospitality." And, let's be real, I didn't experience a literal beam of light descending from the heavens with a choir singing "Hallelujah," but that's exactly what it felt like when I read about Chris's dedication on the website. You know, that moment when everything just clicks, and you're like, "Yes, this is it!" When I arrived at Cherry Grove Pier, meeting Chris reaffirmed my decision. His welcoming presence and the sense of camaraderie in the air assured me that I was in good hands. Now, you might be wondering, "How was the lesson?" After three prior lessons with different instructors, I was a bit skeptical about whether I could truly grasp surfing. However, Chris proved to be one of the best instructors I've encountered, whether online or in person. His explanations of surfing, especially about the crucial pop-up technique and proper surfing stance, were unparalleled. Once we hit the water, he quickly assessed my skills and guided me with precision. In just a short time, he provided a few key tips that transformed my surfing experience. By the end of the lesson, I was catching my own waves--a milestone I hadn't anticipated reaching so quickly. Some may say it takes three lessons to surf, but in my case, it was about finding the right instructor. Chris at Native Surf Lessons has the knack for making dreams come true. Don't let age hold you back; I'm 52, and I've seen surfers in their 70s and 80s riding the waves in New Hampshire. As I write this review the day after, I'm still riding high, with the memory of yesterday's incredible experience etched in my mind. If you're considering whether Native Surf Lessons is the right place for you to learn, let me assure you, it absolutely is. I still remember him giving me the Shaka, going: "Yeah, Brother!!!" It was like I instantly became part of the surfing tribe. Don't hesitate; pick up the phone and call Native Surf Lessons to embark on an unforgettable surfing journey of your own!
