The coding included "management of conditions" and another prescription, though the visit was solely for a routine refill. After challenging the charge, the practice terminated me as a patient, limited my prescription to one month, and left me scrambling to find another doctor before my prescription ran out. My insurer reduced the billed amount to $224, confirming the charge was excessive. In a call with billing staff, they admitted self-pay patients would be charged "much lower," demonstrating intentional inflation. This office also ignores pharmacy refill requests, forcing patients to intervene unnecessarily. The termination letter cited "loss of mutual respect," yet billing $356 for a routine refill hardly shows respect for long-standing patients. This practice's behavior is exploitative and harmful - and I see from the other reviews, this is not the first time Lexington Family Practice has treated its patients with such disregard. My family and I are not sad that we will be finding another practice.

West Columbia, Sunset Blvd…read more We came here for planned delivery, so L&D and post partum, 5th floor East elevators, of north tower. L&D floor we had no complaints very competent. C section requires 2-3 days post op in hospital. For my perspective of the support person I enjoyed my time away from home. First off, you get room service prepared within 90 minutes of order, 3 meals a day included in what you've already paid the hospital. The food was not chef quality but I found it adequate. Another big plus was the 3 piece bathroom within the hospital room. The shower has a curtain but no base only two drains on floor. So water easily can cover the floor which I didn't like but unlimited hot water was soo nice. Also the sofa for support person was nice to me. It is long enough can stretch legs out (5'11") and comfortable for my back. As for my wife's care, it was a hit or miss depending on which nurse shift working. There were a few times she would be scheduled to have pain meds and nurse would not deliver on time but several hours later or sometimes forgot all together. I think the best word to describe a lot of the staff was unreliable. They would say yes we are going to do this then you're left waiting when is it going to get done. This is for baby photographer, nursing, lactation nurse, OB doctor on-call. One of the OB doctors barely spoke English, I thought we were on a hidden camera show how comical his treatment was. The on-call Pediatrician we did like even inquired if she was available afterwards, Dr Mobley. The hospital infrastructure of how it runs is fine just some of the staff create questions to their competency.

I have never liked anything medical, and going to a hospital was not on my bingo list for the year…read more I had to go for an MRI with general anesthesia. A few days before, the nurse called and went over important information and also gave directions for getting to the hospital, and once I was insdie where to go. On the day of the procedure, the parking lot was super empty as it was 6:30 am. Once my mom and friend made it inside, we were greeted with somen wonder people at the front desk. They gave us the directions; however, I had to recall what the nurse said, and we did a little detour. We had to go through procedures as the MRI sign is someone who does not need any anesthesia. Once in the priocdies area, I had to sign some paperwork, and I got an ID bracelet. Then I had to walk over to the lab area, which is just next door. There, they have different labs that you have to do, and then back to the other desk. From there, the nurse will take you upstairs to floor 1, and that is where you will wait to go back to a room. A nurse will take you and your people back with you. This nurse is part of your team; they will show you your bay and ask you to change into hospital clothing. Then it's time to answer a lot of questions. Nurse Emma was super helpful. She could tell I was getting overwhelmed. The other nurse was getting my vitals too. The anasteoaligst also comes by, don't worry, they are just there to sign off, they do not even really take yo you. There is another anesthesiologist that is the one who will really be taking care of you and will talk with you later. Once they have your vitles then it's time for the IV. This is the part I can not stand well, thankfully my friend is really used to my panicking and crying and was super helpful to the nurse. After that, they even wrapped it so I could not see it. Then it was time for me to go to the MRI area. My people were able to come with me all the way to the last door. I said goodbye that was really hard. Then I went down more hallways and then into the MRI area that we saw before. That is where I met my anasteialgist and he asked me some quesions and then I got up and walked over to the other bed. They got me hooked back up to the monitors that are MRI safe. Then I was waking up in the PICU, the nurses were super nice, even when I was trying to take all my vitals off and the IV as well. They help get me updates to my people. Once upstairs, I had to wake up more, and then I was able to eat a snack. After that, it was time to get ready and go home. It was super fast, and we got the results the same day.

I love education, possible causes and solutions. Not sure I understand the cause, but she addressed the solutions to try for a few mths. Each patient is different, but we must always make sure we not only give solutions but make sure the patients understand what could be possibly going on. I will try her solutions suggested for a few mths, they seem reasonable. Im real big on professionalism and time, she was 38min late for my appt, that's not acceptable. My time is important and she never addressed her tardiness at all. My money and time are important to me. If I was 35min late to an appt or a no show, they would have charged me a huge fee. They make you fill out a form to make sure I understand the policy. I can give a grace period of 10-15min, but not 38min. Don't expect a patient to adhere to policy if your employees are not doing the same. Someone should have addressed this issue before I left. The first impressions are important, this was the first time seeing this provider. Hopefully this will not happen in the future. They also charge a fee of 3% to pay a copay with CC.

I've been going to this particular practice for many years and they have always served me well. Recently they have been acquired by Advanced Dermatology and Advanced Dermatology makes or tries to change appointments via texts that are originating from a call center somewhere in South America. I spoke to a guy, that called himself Benj, because he called and asked if I wanted to change my appointment to an earlier date. As it turns out the date was not available and I asked him what was the confusion. After several conversations between Palmetto Dermatology and Advanced Dermatology, it seems like the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing because there is a lack of communication between the two, which is very unfortunate. I will continue on to be a patient because I like the staff and the doctors but Advanced Dermatology has effectively absorbed and corrupted a very good practice that was functioning well on its own.
