The inside is bare, empty and unassuming. The booths are ripped and tables wearing. Walls are missing paint and it looks like it hasn't been updated since the 80's although these owners have only been there for 4 years. But you just sit back and listen to the Latin music in peace imagining you are in Cuba as you eat. If ambience is what you are looking for, a to go order would be better. Came by this restaurant by way of a Yelp search for restaurants in the area. I had read the reviews and it looked like it was well know for its Cuban sandwich. Me and hubby walk in and are greeted immediately with a friendly hello. When we were seated, we told the man that seated us we were newbies. He brought us out our water and told us to take our time looking over the menu. When were were ready to order, we decided to just split the cuban sandwich and get an order of fries. When the food came out, (on two plates!!) we were so glad we did decide to split the sandwich. It was HUGE!! It was also SO GOOD!! Fries were nice and hot and crispy. I'm gonna be pretty short. It was okay I got two sandwiches, empanadas and some croketas. My sandwich was actually messed up cause I received the wrong sandwich, but I took my food to go so I could not change it. The empanada had an ok flavor and the croketas were just mush. I had dinner at Carolina's last night with my family and it was almost like we had dinner at abuelas house. At first the restaurant doesn't look like much but once you get the food you will be shocked! The food was spectacular and truly felt like home. The food is top notch and the servings are very generous (even to the point where we couldn't finish our meals and had to take some home). We had a Carolina's Cuban sandwich and a Classic Cuban sandwich and a Pork Empanada. Everything was delicious and prepared to perfection! Prices are very reasonable and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable.
