Caroline gave me the most precise pedicure I've ever had! She's super detailed. She's also really fun to chat with. She is the only one doing nails at a place called Regina Salon in Richmond, so might not be perfect if you are going with a friend, but if you just need to get your toe nails to look happy she's perfect. highly recommend!

Just so happy with Tina's work. The service at Regina's Salon is excellent. They made me feel at ease with being a bit particular with how I wanted my nails to look. Not only did they take their time to make them look as I wanted, the end result makes me feel so pretty and they picked up my spirits. I love Caroline. I was searching a while ago for a nail technician and salon that didn't operate like a drive thru fast food restaurant. I found Caroline. She takes her time and is very meticulous which I appreciate. She never rushes a client and always makes sure you leave with great nails! First time trying Caroline; my nails and cuticles were weak and bad shape but she fixed them nice by leaving natural. I scheduled a gel color manicure but the condition of my nails were not good and Caroline encouraged me not tipi do the service which would have been more money for her. I appreciated she cared more about my nail health over the bottom line. I've been places where they would have done the gel and let my nails get more damaged. So disappointed with this place. I was looking forward to coming because of the reviews, but I'll never get to experience it. Came in today for an appointment I made with her at 12 and the nail lady disregarded my appointment because she was still working on someone else and said it will be 5 mins which turned into 25. The lady was no where accommodating. I will NEVER come back here. Where is the accountability ? Where was any type of accommodation? So annoyed with businesses like this. My lunch hour was spent waiting I should of left sooner. read more

I have wispy, nothing hair. Without Guadalupe, I'd probably be known as that woman with the wispy nothing hair. With Guadalupe's help, I have a style that's fashionable and easy to maintain, and color that people comment on all the time. I liked it so much I sent my mother there. She's got a great cut. She loved it so much she sent my step-mother there. She loves it AND gets her nails done there, too. She loved it so much, we asked Lupe to cut my 8 year old niece's hair. I went to get a simple pedicure last Saturday morning. The lady who answered was really nice and accommodated my appointment.She gave me the best foot massage! There are two pedi spa chairs and two nail bars, so it is a little more intimate but it gets the job done! I was in and out and it only cost $20. read more

I love this place! I get both my haircuts here with Guadalupe and my massages here with Rosa... they are both the sweetest and very patient with me... I tend to be very particular (yikes!) but the first few times I went in (I think I actually first got a pedicure and then my haircut and then a massage) they were both very patient and understanding, making sure they knew *exactly* what I wanted and now every time I come in they remember what I want without having to clarify! It's awesome knowing that they care about their clients, and awesome to know that when I come in they care to remember my name and my needs! They also remodeled, though it looked nice before, and it's beautiful! It has always been a nice and bright place and the salon is always so clean. Before Guadalupe, I had the same stylist for years - and while I liked her and she always did a great job, even my trims would take forever because she was always gossiping, talking to her teenage kids on the phone and looking at herself in the mirror more than she was looking at my hair. I was SO afraid of changing up BUT am so glad I did - now my hair looks just as amazing, my appointments take half the time and I don't have to worry about my stylist gossiping me to her other clients either! read more

What a great experience! I just had my hair cut and colored by Guadalupe Torres, the owner of New Leaf Salon. I found her on Yelp and decided to take a chance. She is soft spoken, very kind and an attentive listener. I explained all my hair troubles (thin hair, dry scalp, grey appearing, hairline beginning to recede) while she quietly listened. She made recommendations and then proceeded with a wonderful cut that gives my hair volume and frames my face. She combined highlights and low lights to take away the grey and give me a modern look. She spent a full 3 hours with me, and when there was still a piece of grey poking out, she went back and re-did it! She takes her time and makes sure her clients are completely satisfied. My husband, who never comments on my hair, keeps saying over and over how much he likes it. Her prices are very fair and she is a wonderful, sweet human being. I can't wait to return! read more

I came in for a gel manicure on my natural nails, but 1 finger was chipped. I asked if they could do a single extension, they recommended to use builder gel instead. At first, it looked fine, but after it cured, it was noticeably thick and not shaped very well. As a result this one fell off after a week. I also tried to point out that the shaping on my nails looked inconsistent from one finger to the next. The technician told me it was just because my finger widths are different & it's impossible to make them look the same. I understand that natural nails are harder to make uniform (compared to extensions), but I was disappointed with the lack of effort. The gel manicure itself was okay. I got a pink color with chrome powder, it lasted about two weeks. Overall, for around $50, I feel like you get what you pay for. It wasn't a terrible experience, but the attention to detail, especially with the shaping and the builder gel, was lacking. The service was friendly though, and you get a stamp card for every visit.

Went in for builder gel fill + 1 extension for a nail that broke and they told me it would be $80. I figured, fine, more than i usually pay but it'll be a great service right? wrong. i asked for light pink nude like bubble bath and got Smokers Nude, total yellow undertone. When she was filing I noticed most of them were crooked, and when I asked if she could touch them up she pretended to file them a few times and I kept repeating they were crooked. After about the third time, she said it was already straight and i had to say no, it's not. I had been growing my nails out for weeks, they were long and even I just asked her to make them more narrow. i had to get my nails done for an event that night and even told them about it but ended up sitting on my hands most of the evening instead. I'm honestly embarrassed to have my nails in this state, it's something I treat myself to but I can't afford to pay to get them fixed so quick after getting them done. Totally beyond me how they have decent reviews, the tech was mean and told me how she hated the color (me too! not what i asked for!) and critiqued my cuticles. Completely unprofessional, bad service and horrible results. Please don't go here.

My nails have NEVER been this long, I've never gone this long without pain, I've never felt this comfortable wearing sandals before. I explained that I specifically made an appointment because I couldn't come another day, and the response was basically, "Oh well." My advice to anyone planning to visit: don't rely on the website. If you think you've made an appointment online, call the salon to confirm it before showing up. The appointment was set for 10:00 AM on Monday, March 23rd. Notably, they never even asked for my name when booking. I arrived right at 10:00 AM as they were opening. I sat on the couch while a few employees and customers came in. Some greeted me casually, which I appreciated, but overall, there was no sense of structure or welcome. Shortly after, a woman approached me from the nail area and, without any greeting, simply said, "What do you want?" No hello, no acknowledgment, no confirmation of my appointment, just that. It immediately set the tone, and not in a good way. I told her I had a 10:00 AM appointment for a gel manicure. She told me to "sit here" and directed me to a table where nail swatches were scattered and disorganized. I showed her three design photos. She declined the first two and agreed to a very simple nude set with a small evil eye design. She then began working on my nails by buffing them--without removing the existing gel. I had to stop her and point out that I still had gel on my nails that needed to be removed. As someone who has worked in high-end salons, this was a major red flag. Skipping proper removal can lead to lifting and damage, and it shows a lack of attention to detail and professionalism. At that point, I was already uncomfortable and turned off by the entire experience. I decided to downgrade to a regular manicure just to get through the service and leave. The "manicure" ended up being minimal, just basic cuticle cleanup and filing, and still cost $30. I tipped anyway, but honestly, the service did not reflect the price or standard I would expect. My entire career has been in high-end salon environments, including managing nail services, and this was by far one of the worst experiences I've had as a client. I should have walked out the moment I was greeted with "What do you want?" instead of a simple hello. I'm all for supporting local businesses, especially as I'm new to the area, and I would have gladly brought consistent business here. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won't be returning or recommending it to anyone. At the end of the day, kindness, professionalism, and basic customer service go a long way and those were completely missing here.
