I loved the Linwood's features and the cottages looked absolutely perfect for what we had envisioned for our special day. After inquiring about renting two of their guest houses for wedding preparation and lodging, I received a very snooty email from Linda, not sure of her actual title at the Linwood, clearly asking me to rethink my visit with them due to their restrictions. As "nice" as this may seem of her to do, when I am ready and willing to drop $2600 on a weeks lodging, you would think they could make some accommodations and not be so brash with their response, especially a "I'm not sure what you had in mind for the wedding party to be doing," response. Be warned. If you want to reserve this for a family gathering, wedding party, etc., you are only allowed 4 guests per guest house (rooms probably less), and the grounds (pool, gardens) are only for the guests that are actually staying in the guest houses. Apparently, she assumed there would be rooms full of people getting ready and creating a disturbance on their property. While I understand that B&B's are typically quaint, quiet and relaxing, I nor my wedding party (of 8 - which would have met their requirements) would have disturbed any of the guests staying in the B&B and would have made an effort to remain quiet and unnoticed. Sorry Linda, not only did you lose out on booking your cottages for the week, but you lost out on any future business from our family and others from the Charleston area.

If you are looking for a classic boutique experience with all the comforts of home this is the place! Linwood is clean, bright and nestled inside a lovely garden just outside of the excitement of Main Street. The views from the windows show a mature, well maintained grounds with paths that lead around corners to unexpected sculptures or a bench. The pool is well maintained with a bathroom/changing area just off to the side. The owners are friendly and hospitable without hovering. I was able to comfortably push my stroller and take my toddler for a walk right into the heart of Summerville's Main Street. The shops and restaurants have much to offer in the way of entertainment. I even visited the local art gallery. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely B&B to anyone. The hospitality is exceptional and I couldn't have hoped for a better location.

Early shift, sorry not my department, late shift? Kidding right? Last minute....it was always Matt. Matt is the exception to the rule for this property. There are times where he definitely is stressed and frazzled, but still gets his job done politely.. There may not be an ear ear smile, but you don't hear him whining, and complaining, Whenever possible and available, I will do an early digital check-in to avoid the front desk mob. I always digital check-in as it makes it easier for everyone, then once it's time to head back to the room and relax, I have a dear friend that my special-needs adult son refers to as Auntie Allie. So yes how have we been spoiled over the years with overwhelming competence, 5 star treatment but rather because I made a point to wear appropriate night clothing Or is this going to be the new normal? Is Hilton planning on investing a grand old tv that no one has a clue. The conditions of the rooms do not reflect the prices/points, or the rundown of the shakedown by this....
