We arrived first thing right when they opened and had no issues finding a parking spot, i will mention when we left a couple of hours later the parking lot was full with people driving around waiting for people to leave. My kids really enjoyed the aquarium, as did my husband I it was our favorite area to explore. The rainforest pyramid was nice we couldnt find the sloth but saw the monkeys, they was down on the walk way and staff was directing people away from them It was more a one and done kind of place just because it is a little on the pricey side, but we have no regrets and got some amazing photos.

The documentary was well restored and very informative. The Texas Seaport Museum recommend we go next door to see the film. There are several showings throughout the day, and they warned us to arrive 15 minutes before show time, as they are strict about not allowing for late seating. The theater shows 2 other films. The Great Storm only costs $6 for adults. Tip - the Theater is located on Pier 21 with other restaurants. If you are going to Pier 21 include time for a meal or drink at one of the restaurants. Then they will validate for your parking.

The Director is amazing with the actors and even has a young boy who has Autism and a little girl who has Down Syndrome in the cast, I think I saw this year, in the Musical. It may have been Black Out season when people tried to go as many theaters have Black Outs too where they take a break, but we will be there come the Fall for the next play or musical.. My daughter auditioned for a part and got it and she had an absolute blast in the production and hopes to go back. I've gone to two different productions and they are so such fun! They do their best to make you feel welcome and take care of you. They have snacks in the lobby, some free and some for a small fee that helps promote the playhouse. They offer inexpensive wine and soda and bottled water during intermission and before the show. The theatre itself needs a little renovating. it's very outdated. As someone who writes reviews that focus on disability accommodation, I have to honestly say that this place needs some work on ADA compliance. I'm sure they are legal--that's not the issue--it's how comfortable it is. If you have a wheelchair, you have to sit in the first few rows, and every time I've come in, they've been full, because no one has put up signs that say they are companion seats for wheelchairs. One time, i had to sit in the aisle, which is a safety and fire hazard. The bathrooms are awkward for wheelchair bound people too. Several of the seats are broken and need to be replaced or repaired. the balcony is outdated and there is no accessible access to the balcony theatre. Short of the renevations that are clearly needed, the theatre itself is cute, has much potential, and the shows are reasonably priced for a fun and family friendly evening out.

Tickets are cheap: $30 each. Wine was a rip-off at $20 a glass for table wine (cocktails at iPic are $10). We ordered two glasses without realizing it'd be $40. The bartender had already pour our glasses before we could change our mind (and wish she would have alerted us that for $10 more we could have purchased the entire bottle... So almost $100 later, we are in theater 7 where it was stuffy and hot as hell; people were sweating. I had my jeans rolled up to my knees and eventually went to the concession stand for cups of ice water and they gave me cardboard boxes to serve as a fan. That's just ridic. Def can't blame the staff because they're mostly teens. But management, corporate, and even Nicole Kidman--take notice and fix this stat.
