I can't believe there's an admission fee to enter just the discovery pyramid. We also saw the Dinos Alive exhibit, which was probably the most lame dinosaur exhibit I've seen. The 4D movie was catered to very young children. We got the after 4pm pass for $50 each, which includes access to all the attractions. We were done within two hours, even though we tried to stretch it out. We didn't do the ropes course/zipline or the waterpark though, but we saw that the waterpark is very small.

The documentary was well restored and very informative. The Texas Seaport Museum recommend we go next door to see the film. There are several showings throughout the day, and they warned us to arrive 15 minutes before show time, as they are strict about not allowing for late seating. The theater shows 2 other films. The Great Storm only costs $6 for adults. Tip - the Theater is located on Pier 21 with other restaurants. If you are going to Pier 21 include time for a meal or drink at one of the restaurants. Then they will validate for your parking.

It has been a joy watching the littlest cast member now 7 or 8 grow thru the years and all of the other regular actors too. The Director is amazing with the actors and even has a young boy who has Autism and a little girl who has Down Syndrome in the cast, I think I saw this year, in the Musical. My daughter auditioned for a part and got it and she had an absolute blast in the production and hopes to go back. I've gone to two different productions and they are so such fun! They do their best to make you feel welcome and take care of you. They have snacks in the lobby, some free and some for a small fee that helps promote the playhouse. They offer inexpensive wine and soda and bottled water during intermission and before the show. The theatre itself needs a little renovating. it's very outdated. As someone who writes reviews that focus on disability accommodation, I have to honestly say that this place needs some work on ADA compliance. I'm sure they are legal--that's not the issue--it's how comfortable it is. If you have a wheelchair, you have to sit in the first few rows, and every time I've come in, they've been full, because no one has put up signs that say they are companion seats for wheelchairs. One time, i had to sit in the aisle, which is a safety and fire hazard. The bathrooms are awkward for wheelchair bound people too. Several of the seats are broken and need to be replaced or repaired. the balcony is outdated and there is no accessible access to the balcony theatre. Short of the renevations that are clearly needed, the theatre itself is cute, has much potential, and the shows are reasonably priced for a fun and family friendly evening out.

The bartender had already pour our glasses before we could change our mind (and wish she would have alerted us that for $10 more we could have purchased the entire bottle... So almost $100 later, we are in theater 7 where it was stuffy and hot as hell; people were sweating. I had my jeans rolled up to my knees and eventually went to the concession stand for cups of ice water and they gave me cardboard boxes to serve as a fan. That's just ridic. Def can't blame the staff because they're mostly teens. But management, corporate, and even Nicole Kidman--take notice and fix this stat. You can go on the MFA film calander to see a list of the years events. It's always interesting selection of international films, and every day modern classics, re-releases of classic films. I also appreciate that sometimes they have special guest speakers such as the director, producer, or actors, that come after the showing to speak about the film. If you love documentaries, and want to enjoy a quiet solo date this is definitely worth checking out. Or take a group to enjoy the show.

I went with 3 other people who have never done an escape room before, and we all succeeded. When the escape room event begins Madame Daphne comes out to greet your group and leads you to her tarot reading room where she does readings for about 2 people after handing each person a liability waiver that's kept in their own personalized box, each disguised as a book she pulls from her bookshelf. You crumble your waiver up and throw it in the birdcage with her co-worker Sir Walter, who is in charge of the forms. Each person puts their belongings away for safekeeping in Madame Daphne's wardrobe. It's recommended to put your cellphone away but you are allowed to keep it in case you feel you might need your flashlight. That is the only reason you are to use your cell phone once inside. When everyone's items are stored away and after going over the rules, Madame Daphne leads you into her seance parlor. She uses your group's help to channel the ghosts of Harry Houdini and strange things begin to occur as Houdini confirms he's in the room with you. He demands that Madame Daphne leave and you and your group are then left to solve various clues to free his ghost and yourselves from the escape room. The sound and visual effects, realistic props and stellar acting by the individuals who portray Madame Daphne and the ghost of Harry Houdini make this a truly immersive experience. It's easy to see why this escape room has been ranked as the best one in the country.
