Our 17 year old cat hasn't been grooming himself as much as he normally does and it was resulting in big mats under his underarms and on his belly. Poor kitty needed help! We picked Carolyn's because they come to you, which is really a must for cats. We changed our mind and asked for a full body dino cut instead of just the dematting and were really pleased they could pivot and give our kitty a different type of cut. I'll admit that I fretted quite a bit as Nicholas my Russian Blue is as grumpy about getting nails trimmed and ears cleaned as a displeased Czar. WOW I had Kori come by for nail trim on my scaredy-cat kitten and my hissy fit princess cat. I am VERY impressed with my service from Roy. Before I found them I was taking my cat to Petsmart and I did not feel too comfortable leaving him there because when I would pick him up he seemed very traumatized. I was a bit nervous on how he would do for his at home groom but so figured this would be the best option and less stressed bc he is prone to urinary issues that can be triggered from stress. Roy was SO sweet and kind with my cat Zaza, he came in and first got to know my cat and let him smell him and get familiar with him which made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Then he did his nails and Zaza did not mind him at all which I was shocked because he hates when I try to trim his nails!! My biggest concern was for him to get all of my cats mats out because he did have quite a few mats on his underbelly and I knew this was very uncomfortable for my baby. About 45min later he was done with him and I was very surprised with how fast Roy worked with him. My cat is not a mean cat but he can be a little snippy at times when he gets annoyed Anyways, my Zaza looked AMAZING!!! He rounded his face perfectly which is what I wanted and got all of those mats out. Now, my cat is happier than ever. He is a lot more playful and social around my boyfriend and I. I can tell he feels so much better and a lot cooler too from this heat. I cannot be more thankful for Roy, he truly transformed my kitty. I am so thankful to have finally found a good cat groomer. Had my cat groomed twice, haircut and nail trim. I have a senior cat which cost $50 more, although my cat wasn't handled delicately. Ears and face were cleaned. Overall, with the exception of arrival hours later than scheduled, satisfied with the services. Second visit was awful. My cat is 23 years old and Rory was quite rough with him. I used to trim his nails myself, but since the last appointment he won't let me near his nails. His ears and face were not cleaned this time. Very disappointed with the service and lack of compassion for my senior cat. Lastly, the subpar services cost $25 more than the prior visit. Unfortunately my cat paid the price. read more

Pros: Roy was punctual and very professional. I felt great leaving my sweet senior cat, Rocky with him for the grooming. You can tell the staff really care about your pets and their comfort. Roy also brought Rocky some treats and gave him a break when my fur baby needed it. Cons: My beautiful cat looks hideous and they charged an additional $90 for a senior cat fee after commenting on how Rocky was very spry and not frail at all. I cried when Roy left. They NEVER CONTACTED US,even after filling out their extensive on line application....frustrating

My initial conversations with them went fine. We talked about what I was looking for and when I could be available for their visit. We got an appointment scheduled for the following Saturday. Then the day before, I got a message asking me to confirm the appointment. I didn't see it. An hour and a half later, I got another message threatening they would cancel the appointment and keep my money if I didn't respond. (a classic manipulative maneuver, I might add) I'm like "wait, what?" Then I explained to them politely *how this was very rude.* There was a slew of reasons why I may not reply to a text message, let alone reply within 1.5hrs. The whole experience felt...dodgy. Like they were trying to get out of the appointment while keeping my money. That feeling was further exacerbated when, the next morning, they flat-out canceled the appointment. I emailed Carolyn on a Sunday when I discovered that my 17 year old tabby had MUCH bigger mats than I thought he did. When I googled it I learned that it can be SUPER painful for them. Just four days later Roy and Staci showed up at my door and took such good care of my boy. They shaved him, which I was a little worried about at first but now see the wisdom in it. He had bruises on his skin because the mats were so tight (like a super wound up ponytail) that they were cutting off the blood flow. Summer loves getting hair cut from Carolyn's. First experience was really good, especially when it was whole new experience about "mobile grooming service". They have a lady who takes care of all scheduling and appointments (mainly she is the one ya would talk on the phone), she patiently and very kindly explains about how the service goes, things you have to remind. After first experience, Summer is less stressed from driving far, and no contact with other pets, he had his service at our home in peace. The style was very cute too, I was delightful how stylish cut does Carolyn can give your cat a shape. So we decided to give a second try and it was even better than the last one. Carolyn, the stylist herself and her assistant (think it was her sister?) came, we let them use one of guest bathroom on the second floor that nobody uses, they told me Summer was behaving real nice (prob he remembers their smell last time they visited us). For his head, this time they give him a cutesy round bear cut and for body, as usual, a lion cut. Summer was running everywhere that he could possibly run up to, it seems like he was super excited how his body got so light-weighted afterwards. I got lucky and got Carolyn and Kori for my baby's first trim! They were so amazing. From the sound of it their whole team is amazing and I would be lucky to get anyone to take care of my baby Raven. We also got my little one Nala trimmed and even though she was a holy terror, they handled her great. Raven is always a very anxious cat but they worked their magic and she didn't even freak out.
