That also included demolition and minor repairs. Due to my work schedule, she was really flexible with my installation dates. I decided to make it easier for the installers and moved everything out of the house and into storage so that they can work efficiently without obstacles. The two installers arrived on time and began the demolition and minor repairs. Velia also suggested various options for the repairs needed based on her experience and expertise. Once the demolition and repairs were made, the installers began installing the luxury vinyl planks at such a mind-boggling pace. By lunch time, they were determined to finish the project in one day. They called for reinforcements and two more installers arrived. With four installers, they completed the entire project by late afternoon. I was thoroughly impressed by their efficiency, professionalism and expertise. Having an 80+ year old house, not every room has a level floor any longer. After a few days, I noticed some of the planks lifting and/or not settling correctly. I called Velia and immediately she contacted her installers. We scheduled a return visit for the installers for an inspection and necessary repair. They arrived and took care of the issues. We love our new floors! It's like a new house for us! I received an immediate canned response that clearly wasn't based on anything I wrote or the photo I submitted. It even included a note about ignoring outreach from other companies. The next message invited me to call Joshua Diaz-Blanks, so I did. My call went to voicemail, I left a message, and I never heard back despite calling during their posted business hours on Saturday. Before they closed on Saturday, I texted Joshua. His response was that his grandmother was in the hospital and might not make it. I was sympathetic, offered prayers, and told him we could reconnect Monday or later if he needed more time. Then nothing. No follow-up, no update, no communication at all. On Monday, I walked into Banner Carpets on Artesia instead and purchased what I needed. It was a small $1,300 job, but small jobs add up and reliable service matters. This was handled very poorly, Joshua. I truly hope your grandmother recovers, and if her time is up, I wish her peace. But using a family emergency to excuse basic lack of communication is not professionalism. At some point, adulting is tough, but following through on what you promise is part of running a business.
