Absolutely horrible service. I waited three weeks for my carpet, don't get me wrong the carpet looks good but the guy over the phone is so rude. The lady was okay when i came in person. They called me first and scheduled installation two weeks after I ordered it when that day rolled around they never showed, I gave them a call and the guy said he didn't have our carpet... I was like ??? You were the one that called me and scheduled installation what do you mean? Then we did the go around of him telling me it was on back order, and it was a mistake. About an hour later the lady called me and scheduled installation for the next day. God for bid they say sorry for the inconvenience. Some people work, and some people have lives. I can't just stay home and wait for a carpet to come in lol. read more

They were also able to come install with 2 days notice and finished 4 bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom in one day. Would highly recommend especially for rentals and flips. read more

The owner is a scumbag they stained my floors the wrong color and they refused to make it right. The owner yelled at my wife on the phone and swore at her on the phone after they took my insurance check. I'd never do business with them again and now have to pay another 5grand to make up for all their mistakes don't use these guys they are horrible. read more

******DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE****** So much do I wish I could give a 0 star review. What an absolute disaster of a company this place pretends to be. My Fiance and I bought a condo, and Carpet Excellence was recommended to us. If you can manage to look past the sketchy exterior of this building, you will find the grumpy, nasty, and rude owner, plus his air head Daughter/Assistant. We went with the intention of redoing around 800 square feet worth of flooring (3 bathrooms, a guest room, living room, and master bedroom). After we went and met with the owner's daughter, we had someone come out and take measurements of the space just a few days later. A day after they came and left with the measurements, we called to decide on the flooring we planned on using for the space. When we called (one day after the measurements were done) the owner, Gary, claimed he had no idea what we were talking about. After going back and forth about the most basic of tasks, he then tells us he needs to send someone out AGAIN because they "Didn't measure the space correctly". A few days goes by, and we finally are able to get the owners son in to take a look, and he tells us there will be no issue in getting the floors done. My Fiance and I called Gary every day for 5 days asking for him to send us an invoice for the total cost of the installation, with every conversation ending with "You'll get it today". He then sends us this scribbled on note pad with random numbers on it calling it our "invoice", with no breakdown of any of the costs. We called him back to ask him to send us an email with the break down of the numbers, something any normal, customer forward company would do, in which he replied "We don't do that". After back and forth for over 3 weeks at this point, we finally get the installers out to start on the flooring. Once they walk through the door, they tell us, "We cant install flooring here, you need a masonry to come out and level out the floor". Pissed off, we call Gary back and explain that out of all of the visits his employees made, these "professionals" should be able to tell us this problem much more in advance than they day of installation. Once we find out how much they masonry would cost, I call Gary's office back and explain to his Daughter that we can not move forward with the flooring. She replied "That's not going to happen". I explained to her that we would be paying them for the work they're doing in the bathrooms, but will not be paying for anything else. She immediately says "Then we'll take you to court". After laughing at her, I hang up the phone. I call back an hour later, and speak with Gary. I reiterate everything I said to his Daughter, and he replied "Give me a thousand bucks", after he already quoted us only $600 for the bathrooms to be done. I told him that he can't just pull some arbitrary number from the air and expect me to pay it. He said "You know, I am happy we are not doing your floors, your Wife is a Fucking Prick". He continued being extremely nasty, and I told him to give us our money back, and hung up. read more

Never even gave them a chance to install. Guy who came to measure my home insulted me not once not twice but three times even though I shut him down with his rude attempt at a joke the first time. Went to the shop/store an owner was rude by talking about his clients after hanging up the phone twice. Then made a rude comment to me. Jumped down my throat when I asked for a copy of my estimate asking why did I want it then reluctantly provided it. I don't have confidence in the job and would not have anyone in that company in my home. If I could have done less than a "1" as a rating I would have. The year is 2021 time for them to see these things are unacceptable. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE. I wouldn't even give this business a star. Gary is nice; he came measured everything & we spoke about if his guys would move furniture or not which we agreed they would move as they go then went on to ask if I could remove the remaining floor and trim myself so its "easier" for his workers to just be in and out. When the workers arrived they were absolutely rude & completely unprofessional. They demanded we move everything because it "wasn't on the paper," they never contacted there boss. they also decided to snap all of the trim that was already off (which that does happen, they can snap) but they were all broke & jagged where snapped. When the workers were done they just left the floor w gaps & no trim stating it "wasn't on the paper," after almost 2 weeks of going back and forth with Gary of "they're coming today" and no show we finally scheduled for a Saturday at 9:30. Well the workers showed up & decided to go and look at the OLD trim and try to put it back down.. As i proceeded to tell the guy we asked for new ones & we would pay for the new ones one guy decided to curse at me and said he'd call his boss. my husband was then sworn at in front of our 3 year old daughter. the guys then THREW the boards at the house and left. I am completely disgusted!!! I just don't understand after telling Gary how disgustingly rude his workers were he sends back one of the same workers as last time and another disrespectful one. This is the 3rd time I was attempting to give this company my business. Their prices were always great, service so-so. This time I needed their help for an insurance claim. I told them up front and they said they would help me. When I asked them I needed them to notarize a document they told me they wanted half up front? He said he would lose business having to go to the bank to notarize. If I had half I wouldn't need to use my insurance check. He didn't care about losing my job and now I need to start over and find a new company. Meanwhile my other contractor is waiting because I have to submit all of the paperwork together. He just doesn't give a shit about people who have been repeat customers!! read more

I called around to a couple of flooring companies to get quotes to refinish the hardwood floor in a our bedroom and Carpet Excellence was the lowest price. I ended up rescheduling because there was a delay in our project and Gary was accommodating. Since there are stages to this process, his men were in and out of my house for three days. They were respectful, trustworthy and cleaned they up after themselves. The final application was applied and I am happy to report that my floors are beautiful. Do your research, get a couple of quotes prior to calling Carpet Excellence. I am sure they will give you the best price around. read more

Had someone come to our house and quote us, later we found out he quoted us incorrectly and the quote ended up being more. Waited for an email for a few days (even though it was promised the next day) on the new quote so we can get them a down payment, never received an email. After we agreed on a day they would come to do the floors, they canceled the day before and asked if they could come the following day. This was annoying as we had rearranged our work schedule to make sure someone was there when they came but we did it anyways. The morning they were supposed to come no one shows up, when we get them on the phone we explain our frustration with them due to all the above problems, conversation ends with the promise they will be there in 15 mins. As the crew pulled-up the owner called us back and informs us he does not want to do the job and we can come back and get our deposit. We were completely fine with this outcome as their lack of professionalism and organization throughout the process already made us wary of using them. After reading other reviews and speaking to others who had hired this company in the past we found out that this was not a fluke situation and most point out that it is Gary, the owner that was the problem. I can't speak to how they do job-wise but I can confirm that the customer service is pretty terrible. read more
