We have hired Carpet Genie twice to do our carpets and they have been amazing both times! Everyone in our office brings their animals to work and thus there are a lot of accidents on the rugs. Bada Boom Bada Bang! These guys are AWESOME! I had some nasty puppy stains on my carpet, that I attempted to clean but my light beige carpets looked more like a cow hide or calico cat, after my attempts. Long story long.... these guys really came through. I had purchased a groupon for another company Air Comfort Green and had moved all of my furniture out of my 3 bedrooms and patiently waited on them for over an hour only to call and find their number had been disconnected. I then read on yelp that they had gone out of business leaving the over 450 grouponees hanging.... I didn't want to lug my furniture back onto my nasty carpets, so I called these guys yesterday at 5PM and they were able to come today at noon. They were right on time, courteous, polite and did an amazing job. I used Stanley Steamers about a year ago and they kind of suck in comparison- ouch! When their scheduled cleaner wa late for the appointment I began to be concerned. I call the office and Deon, the owner, showed up at my front door asap to begin the cleaning himself. His worker showed up a few minutes later. Deon remained at my house the entire time... ONE THING HE DOES NOT SAY IN THIS ADVERTISING... DEON, THE OWNER, HAS LIVED IN STUDIO CITY/SHERMAN OAKS HIS ENTIRE LIFE... So IMHO he really cares about his clients more than the average company. I'd been trying to get my sofa cleaned by LIVING SPACES for 2 months, they wanted to give me a new sofa. I didn't want a new sofa with different fabric. I like/love the one I have . Warning- do not use them. They messed up our carpets and now won't even come back to look at the problem. In addition the owner screamed and yelled at us on the phone, with vulgarity I won't repeat. Our carpets are completely ruined. I love Deon! Apologizing in advance for the long review, but this will express just how grateful we are to this man! I was at my boyfriends apartment over the weekend when we had heavy nonstop rain. The managers of the apartment complex are cheap and do nothing in terms of upkeep so there were leaks in the roof which caused slight flooding in my boyfriends apartment. We were panicked as the wood floors in the living room and the carpets in the bedrooms were soaked. My boyfriend has expensive equipment and all we could do is pile things on the bed with no idea how we wohld sleep that night. We couldn't get the managers help (surprise, surprise) but luckily we had Deon's contact info from when there was slight water leaks previously. This dude came out on a seconds notice on a Sunday evening and resolved the issue in about an hour. He went above and beyond and was one of the friendliest people I've ever met. I have a very large 3 piece sectional couch. My puppy escaped her crate and started her tour of the said couch with a dump. She proceeded to step in and track her production to the next piece where she released a second load. Her grand finale was to pee on the 3rd piece. My family lives on this couch -- watches tv, eats and sleeps. It was a race against time -- I had to stop the stink from setting in. Henry from Carpet Genie just came out to my apartment yesterday to clean my cream tweed sofa and two chairs. I appreciate that Deon was able to send someone out on the same day and after normal business hours (around 5:30 pm). Henry wasn't the most talkative guy, but he was fast and worked hard. Because of some previous reviews regarding excess water, I asked him to make sure to keep the bamboo floors extra dry. Some water sprayed around the work area, but he wiped it up as he went along with a towel. I originally asked for a sofa and one chair, but realized I had another little armchair that could use a quick steam. He agreed to clean it and didn't charge me above what I was quoted. It came out to far under the prices that competitors had quoted me, plus a free chair. Tell him you have a 25% off Yelp coupon! The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because the middle cushion still looks kind of dingy. It's possible that steaming just won't get out stubborn jeans stains, but it was still kind of disappointing. Will update once everything dries! read more

I didn't think it could be done. After all... in the *cough cough* years I've been in my apartment, I've definitely had the carpets cleaned. So has the management. But they've never looked this beautiful. I live in an older building. And I'm not sure the carpet was new when I moved in. Add to that a vigorous workout DVD schedule, a few food stains, and an ominous darkening around the edge (that I've been told I can attribute to living directly over the garage) - and I was sure the carpet would look 'better', but not 'great'. Well, Deon is a master at what he does. Attacks stains like criminals. And isn't afraid to go the extra mile. His prices are suspiciously low. But there are no hidden charges or funny business. I can highly recommend Genie. Matthew came and did on-site upholstery cleaning of three chairs and wall-to-wall carpeting in a bedroom. He then took away 3 high quality wool Oriental rugs. One was a pastel colored rug that had fraying edges/fringe that needed repair. All rugs came back sparkling clean, and the edge repair was un detectable. He also brought a new pad for one rug.
