Greg was hard to get a hold of, did not relay critical information to our contractor, and ultimately ended up starting almost a month later than initially planned. After installation, the white oak floors looked beautiful. However, after another 2 months passed, the floors on the lower level started cupping. They were installed over sleepers on top of a concrete floor. Similar to the first review - it appears that Greg did not check the moisture before starting. A few months after that - the floors began buckling because once installed they went too tight to the wall and left no room for natural expansion (the buckling was measured at 4.5"!!! Not exaggerating). This is flooring installation 101! I have no idea how they missed this. We ultimately had to replace the floors, and Greg was unresponsive. Nowhere to be found. Our contractor contacted the flooring manufacturer, who stated that the product quoted and installed on the lower level was not specified for concrete, and told us they only would recommend the engineered hardwood. That's not even the end of it - this summer our upstairs floors started to buckle - not quite as bad as downstairs - but once again due to the fact that they installed the floor without leaving any room for natural expansion. I would never recommend Brown's hardwood to anyone based on the following: 1) Poor workmanship - bordering on negligence in the installation. 2) Unprofessional communication and timeframe. 3) Disappearing when the problem needed to be corrected!

This guy is amazing and I can't say enough about what an outstanding job he did…read more My wife and I redid our kitchen over the summer. From cabinets, counters and appliances, we renovated just about everything we could see. The floor was question for us at the start. The tiles were neutral and not in terrible shape. But there were several chipped tiles, a few broken ones, and a few that needed to be replaced because of exposed flooring in the new layout. Our grout was also broken in some spots. I did, however, have a box of 16 original tiles that the previous installer left 15 years ago. The cost to remove a tile floor is as much, if not more, than to have new tile installed fresh. We talked to a few people about our options and we got many referrals to Hard Surface Solutions. I talked to him in he phone a bit about our project and he came over a few days later. He gave me a price and showed me pictures of his previous project. The price was very reasonable. The pictures, before and after, were very impressive. So we hired him and he agreed to start about 3 week later. First he cleaned my tiles with some high pressure steam clean machine. He cleaned the tiles like they were out of the box. In fact I could not believe when I saw the first few tiles. They made my existing tiles look so dingy. After that he worked on the tiles. He replaced several with the box I gave him. Then he fixed some cracks and chips on tiles that were still my existing floor. After that he worked on our grout. He changed our dark, discolored gray grout and make it dull white like my wife had requested. The grout came out perfect and it is very consistent along the entire floor. The whole floor looks new. It took 2 days. He finished the grout with some epoxy that is water proof, easy to clean and lasts for many years. I have the floor for 6 months now so I can not comment about the longevity, but my 15 year old, beaten floor looks new again and it is the perfect complement to my new kitchen

I needed major help, and Jason was amazing to work with. He was quick and responsive, and got me scheduled right away. He was experienced enough to know what had to be done, honest enough to let me know what I could get away with, and smart enough to plan it all out perfectly. The cat urine one was the real concern, because the two rooms were actually unlivable; I feared that they were a complete loss. Jason managed to perfectly repair and seal everything away, and after that work it was 100% better. Those rooms were done so well that I moved my master bedroom into that space, and it's been wonderful. For floor with fire damage, he came up with a plan that suited my needs exactly: safe, solid, and I didn't care if it was a little ugly. All of Jason's work was well planned, his prices were absolutely reasonable, and the end result couldn't have been better. (Especially the 2 main rooms - I mean WOW, that's been a life changer. Cat urine is basically impossible to just clean away or cover up.) If you have serious work that needs to be done right, call up ATC. You'll get a solution that makes sense, work done well, at a price you can afford. I could not ask for better, and I recommend his work to anyone.

While doing research for my project I was in contact with a number of other similar companies, all of them told me that the fabric makeup of my seat cushions was extremely difficult to work with, especially considering the time the stains had been sitting (close to a year)- they said results would be limited. Jason was able to completely clean almost all of the cushions (close to 200). He is very prompt with his work and has very competitive pricing. I will absolutely be working with Jason again in the future.
