We had an amazing experience with Carpet Source! Upon first inquiry they had great communication and that never stopped throughout the entire process. After reaching out on yelp and giving a very rough estimate of sq. ft needed, they promptly responded with an estimate. Which was so refreshing to not feel any pressure, yet get a price quote upon first inquiry. My husband and I then went into the store (no appt needed, which was nice) to continue to ask questions on the different types of carpets, colors, and types of padding. Mark was so patient and happy to answer any we had. He even ordered samples to be delivered to our house so that we could see the six colors in our house/lighting. After that Mark assisted with coming to our house to measure the rooms/closets. He confirmed the appointment the day prior and arrived on time. This process was maybe ten minutes and he was then able to update our pricing estimate more accurately. After he left he sent an official estimate same day. We decided to move forward with that process and scheduled for the carpet to be installed a week later. They had us pay 50% upfront and collected the remaining 50% once the entire project was completed. Day of install Eddie and Mike came to our house right on time. Both were very nice and professional. A small additional cost incurred to trim our doors since the doors went down too low with the new carpet. However Mike was great at explaining the reasoning and the price was more then fair. Overall, I worked mostly with Mark who was amazing. I never once felt pressured. He was great on following up on all communication and made this an easy process. We also enjoyed working with Mike & Eddie on day of install. I would like to clarify I've spent this entire review raving about their customer service and process because it is amazing. I don't write many reviews, but the before sale and after sale service at Carpet Source was outstanding. My wife and I recently moved into a condo in Scottsdale and the floors were in terrible shape. Based on reviews and location I went to Carpet Source to look for carpeting for my two bedrooms. Mike did an outstanding job of explaining all the different carpeting options, the differences in material, quality and cost. Mike gave me the samples to take home and see how they looked in my rooms and we setup an appointment for him to come out and measure the next day. I was also planning on installing new laminate flooring in the living and dining areas. I was planning to purchase it from a large box flooring supplier and installing it, but after the great service Mike provided on the carpeting, I asked him about laminate. He showed me a couple of options they had. Again going into detail on the trade offs in quality and cost. So I also decided to purchase the laminate flooring from Carpet Source. Mike gave me several pointers on how to install it properly. He arranged for me to pick it up the next day at the warehouse in southwest Phoenix. That evening, Mike called me and said he would be happy to pickup the laminate for me and deliver it the next day when he comes to measure for the carpeting. I was thrilled, since I was going to need to borrow a truck to pick it up. Things only got better from there. Mike knew we were in a hurry to get the new floors installed so that we could move in furniture. He called me that evening and said they had a cancellation and could install my carpeting the next day. I was ecstatic! Originally it looked like it was going to be a couple of weeks before they could do the installation. Eddie arrived on time to do the install. He was very professional and friendly and did a great job. Finally, to top thing off, my doors were going to need the bottoms trimmed to clear the new carpeting. I told Mike I would do it. Well he showed up while Eddie was installing the carpeting with a track saw and knocked off trimming my doors for me in no time. I can't remember the last time I have received such outstanding service from beginning to end and the quality of work was top notch and the cost was very reasonable. Good enough for me. This tiny shop had a great variety of carpet and hardwoods. But what impressed me was the salesman, who had decades of experience and was able to quickly help my daughter pick out a quality carpet, for the best value! Let her take a couple of carpet boards to her home, and worked up a price quote and availability on the carpet she was interested in. No pressure, and extremely helpful! This is a bit belated, but about a month ago we had Carpet Source install carpet in the new home we just bought. Mark consulted with me on our needs (antsy pet, future kids, stairs...) over email then made time around his store schedule to come meet me at our home on the other side of town for an in-person consultation. He was very knowledgeable and courteous and brought several samples for us to pick from while he took measurements. We found one that we actually saw and liked from another company, but Mark gave us a much better quote for everything. On the day of service, Mark came in the morning to make sure Antonio and his crew knew what to do. There were some day-of inspection that showed some minor issue under the existing carpet, the service and material was pretty small that they threw it in for free. The crew that worked on our carpet was great, they got everything installed and cleaned up, and even left us a couple rolls of extra carpet if we wanted to make area rugs. We finally just moved in and every time I look at the carpeting I'm just so happy with how it all turned out. Looking forward to many years of enjoying our beautiful flooring! read more

My wife & I were in Scottsdale for a short vacation, but we needed to look at some carpet samples for my in-laws home in California. We walked in half expecting to be rushed out the door, since there was zero prospect of a sale. But Mike was totally gracious and knowledgeable, and didn't bat an eye when we explained our circumstance. He spent close to an hour with us, showing us all types of samples, and he had some really great advice about how to re-carpet an upscale home to prep it for sale. Carpet Source is seriously fantastic. I cannot say enough about how great it was to work with Mike and how happy I was with the installation. I did a bit of research online for what to look for in quality carpets and went to this store and asked some questions about some of the carpet specs. Mike was able to answer them all with in-depth knowledge and even let me see his spreadsheet on twist numbers, face weight/density, and price. It was honestly perfect, exactly what I wanted to see and we were able to choose a carpet that gave us good quality for the price. Mike was able to grind out a high spot in our patio subfloor and float it smooth with concrete filler as well so there isn't a bump in the floor anymore. The installation went very smoothly and they used power stretchers, which is what you'd want apparently instead of just knee kickers. They were able to hide the seams extremely well and Mike came out to check things out and make sure we were happy. Overall, we were extremely pleased and would recommend them to anyone. For what it's worth, everyone wore a mask all the time. read more

Mark DeSpain is amazing -- he made our experience quick and easy and under budget. We are renovating our Scottsdale home on a budget and from a distance (our primary residence is out of state). We made a last-minute decision to change approximately 800 square feet of carpet. We ran into the showroom and met Mark, who listened to our needs and narrowed things down for us to a couple of options. We were in and out of the showroom in about 10 minutes. Mark then coordinated measurements and installation (in two different install visits -- so that we could move furniture from room to room) -- almost all while we were out of state, and all within our renovation schedule.
