They installed many rooms of carpet in our house a few years ago. They said the carpet wouldn't show foot steps, stains, wear, etc... not true. Every room they installed carpet in is now worn, shows every step, and wrinkled. We even had one room re-stretched and it wrinkled again. I saw a commercial saying their carpet had a life time warranty so I called. Ends up they only keep records for 7 years and we no longer had the paperwork. So much for the warranty. The employees weren't interested in making it right and were also quite rude. I'll never go back. read more

Working with Weavers was easy, straightforward and a pleasure. They arrived on time to give me a quote and explained all the different options that were available. The install was scheduled quickly. The installers were friendly and worked showing expert care for my home and belongings. Clean up was through and everything was placed back with care. I can't recommend them enough. I have made the mistake twice of having my flooring needs taken care of through Carpet Weavers. First time, it was in 2009 with Brazilian Cherry wood flooring. Second time last year with Luxury Vinyl Wood (LVT). The store prices aren't cheap and customer service leaves a lot to be desired. No one is available when you need them. Both times, when I encountered issues, I was treated as if my expectations were not realistic. With the cherry wood flooring, I purchased and installed the flooring thru CW. Had a lot of issues bc they chose to glue down replaced boards that were damaged at the time the house was built. They never addressed my concerns. Fast forward 11 years, and this time I chose to get an independent installer (who was also horrible) but still bought the LVT flooring through carpet weavers. I figured go local. Big mistake! $14k later, when I needed to replace damaged boards on the LVT, I noticed the sheen did not match (pics attached) but carpet weaver's owner, Tyler, dismissed my claim and stated the distributor (Harregan) thought it was within limits. This is the company's tactic. Blame the customer or dismiss everything as being within normal limits. Your only way to get any issues addressed is through carpet weavers and the company will NOT have your back. They will leave you out to dry. My opinion, get your flooring from Costco. Better prices, better service and they will take care of you. read more

I went in looking for flooring that I was aware was installed by Carpet Weavers-Peoria. Why would they go to Peoria? After my experience I now understand. , I went to Peoria and was taken care of and also purchased additional flooring for another room. The sales person in Bloomington seemed to lack interest in my requests. I asked for a call if she was able to find the match to my current flooring. Three weeks later, I stopped in to ask the results and by her facial expression, I could tell there was no follow-up. No interest in showing me what my options were. Just walked around looking at samples. I can do that; I was looking for a consultant. Carpet Weavers in Peoria has my future business. It's worth the drive. read more

I purchased a couch and the fabric balled up. They ordered another one for me and a few weeks after I received it, the same thing happened so I ordered another brand of couch and am happy with it. However I ordered 2 dressers and the veneer chipped after just a month or so. It was supposed to be solid wood. I ordered another brand of dresser and the owner said he would just swap it out for me. Now I keep receiving bills for the upgrade. I have called and left messages, text me sales person whom I really like and sent a letter. All with no response. I refuse to pay the bill. I told them to just pick up the dressers. I have also purchased several thousand in flooring all within a few months. Their customer service is HORRIBLE!! read more

We ordered carpet for the living room. We ordered it a month in advance of the installation date. We paid in full at time of purchase. My husband moved out all of the living room furniture the night before the installation. We were having it installed a week before we were having houseguests On the morning of the installation the installer showed up and told us that he couldn't install the carpet because the wrong length and width of carpet was ordered. We were short 3 inches on both dimensions. We paid for the full amount, but the shorted amount was sent. He had no details or idea when the new carpet would be available. Needless to say we were upset. I spoke with Bruce and explained we need the carpet installed before our houseguests came in a week, and that we needed help getting the furniture put back. Bruce had the installer return that morning with the message that he would "make it work". That involved piecing scraps of carpet along the length and width. So we have a lot of extra seams. When I saw the end result the extra seams were extremely noticeable. In addition it was painful to walk on thresholds since the carpet tacks were sticking up. We voiced our concerns, especially the fact that we were charged for carpet we did not get. We are very dissatisfied with their lack of response, and feel that customer service does not match the reputation that Carpet Weaver's has had. read more

We have been customers of carpet weavers for years. When the great flood came and took out our basement, we immediately went to them for our restoration. That went well. So we decided to add flooring to the stairs and reading area in the upper level. That was a disaster. From their inability to measure the carpet correctly to the rude, condescending attitude of Tyler Weaver, we would not recommend them to anyone. We had carpet tacks showing on our upstairs steps because we tore out the old carpet with the promise of carpet after the flooring was installed. Then that piece would not fit......,..,, they came out and measured. So fast forward several weeks (because their was a holiday) the install date was later and later. We had family with young children at our home and naturally we were concerned about them getting stabbed by the tacks. When the new carpet was installed we had doubled the amount needed!! I spoke with Tyler Weaver, "family owned store" manager, and he offered no recourse or solution on what do with such a large piece of carpet paid for but not needed. I stopped by to take a look at their tile inventory before my scheduled appointment. I was there for 20 minutes and no one asked if I needed assistance. I finally went up to an employee to ask some questions. She was very rude and she quickly decided on her own that I could only afford the "cheap" tile as she called it. She pointed to the right side of the room and said to me "you were in the right spot, you will find the cheap tile over there". I had asked her where can I find tile best suited for bathrooms and kitchens. I was insulated and felt stereotyped for being Hispanic. Will never do business with them! read more

I could not be sorrier that I used Carpet Weavers to put in my hardwood floors. The job was started the first week of November, 2013 and is STILL not completed. The mess that was left is still where they left it-sawdust piles in the garage; bits of splintered wood all over the unfinished basement floor; baseboards and walls nicked, dented and scratched. Mary is good to work with. We ordered carpets for my daughters bedroom and they actually delivered and installed the wrong color. We couldn't even tell because we were in a huge time crunch when buying them and didn't save the exact color in our mind (so partly our fault, but the fact is they delivered and installed the wrong carpet color- a shade darker than the light beige we ordered). We ended up getting a discount on the next carpet purchase we made a few months later for the living room, which was nice but expected since they screwed up. Overall, I can kind of understand the bad reviews here. But my family has worked with carpet weavers for years and never had any real complaints up until the wrong carpet being delivered last year. That's why I don't think they're that efficient. read more

They have a great selection, we like the flooring we ordered, and the installation was great. I'm down grading my review because of financing process. Mary was very helpful up until after installation. She told us the total, but said it was the top amount and that it could go down based on what the installer used. The installer only used half the transition pieces and Mary never contacted us with an updated total. When we finally got in contact with her, she did correct the total, however, they had already submitted everything to the finance department without ever consulting with us. We explicitly told her we were only going to finance half the total when we ordered the flooring. She said they would straighten it out, but they still messed it up. They financed the entire amount to Wells Fargo and then payed them the half I payed up front. Now we have to pay double each month to Wells Fargo than we were anticipating because of their mistake. read more

I will never deal with this company again and others should think twice about them. They are unprofessional and have horrible customer service. They damage items in your house and don't tell anyone! They are coming for the fourth time to lay carpet because it keeps delaminating and nothing for the inconvenience of this. There installers also leave there lunch trash in your basement.
