Great Italian place. It's really similar to most "By the Mall" chain Italian restaurants, it's good food, good price, and always a safe call for good food. If you've been to Romano's Macaroni Grill, or Johny Carino's then this place will be completely familiar to you. There are lots of Italian dishes that you can't really go wrong with. The portions were a little bit smaller than I thought I'd get but since these places always give you too much it was actually quite nice. You can walk away full without having to worry about hauling a take home box that will sit at the bottom of your refrigerator for 2 weeks. read more

Carrabbas is, hands down, the best Italian you can get in Utah Valley. Not only it's more authentic than the other places around but I love that everything is fresh and original. When it comes to Italian Carrabbas is the place to go around here. I also love the ambiance and staff. The manager ALWAYS comes to every single table every single time. I love it! One of my favorite things there is their Pasta Weezy. It's soooo delish! With all the either bland, average, dirty, or disappointing restaurants in Utah Valley, Carrabba's is like a coke in the dessert good lol. No lie though. I like it a lot! Thinking about Carrabba's makes me smile and kind of drool. The last time I went, I had the Mahi Wulfe, which was like the seafood version of a great filet mignon. I'm always impressed by their food. Wow! This place was amazing. I enjoyed it to the fullest. I went with a friend that used to work there and we got some items off the menu. They were so delicious. The waitress was amazing as well, she was the perfect waitress. Our drinks were always filled full, she was very nice, and very helpful. We started with the side Mediterranean salad - so delicious and a very good side portion with olives, banana peppers, etc. and it wasn't too small. Next, we got the steak sandwich with the fried zucchini - Steak was cooked just perfect and very juicy, the fried zucchini was like a healthier version of fries that melted in your mouth with it lightly fried and still crispy. We ended with the John cole dessert - It was a simple dessert, ice cream with caramel sauce and roasted cinnamon rum pecans but oh my, it was just perfectly delicious and worth trying. It was much better than the picture. The pecans were far better than those cinnamon roasted almonds you see. I have many dietary restrictions due to autoimmune disease. Carrabba's goes above and beyond in making sure I am accommodated and able to enjoy a safe meal. I was there Friday night and there was a bit of a mishap when it appears that a rock ended up in the pepper. Probably due to the harvesting process. It was very small. The server and manager were excellent, my meal was comped, I was given dessert and everyone was super kind. The service is always excellent when I go there. read more

Ron noticed I was sitting at the "counter" as they don't have a bar. He asked if I had been helped, and I had not. He took my order efficiently, and the plates were out quickly. I appreciated his quickness and that he left me alone while I worked. The kitchen staff was very professional, and I saw the manager working hard as well. I believe that leadership comes from the top down and she exhibited this wonderfully. I had the Chicken Bryan, and it was delicious and rich, but overly so! I love a tasty grilled chicken, and they did a superb job cooking it. Juicy and completely cooked. The grilled asparagus side was fantastic, and I had never tried the house salad but now Im hooked. This restaurant used to be awesome, but a few months ago they changed their policies and started severely skimping. They give you just a pinch of herbs to go with your oil for bread dipping. When I asked for more, I was told it was $8 for a full serving but for free they would continue bringing me more little plates, each with a pinch of herbs. What a joke, trying to get your waiter's attention just to get a tiny pinch of herbs. I always order the fried calamari, but their new skimpy policies ruined even that. They downsized the large portion so now it is the size the regular portion used to be. Another joke. Oh well, good things never last long. read more

Went with a work group for lunch and pleased that we did. To our dismay, their fridge had broken earlier that day and about half of their menu was out. That everything my coworkers and I ordered was still delicious speaks to the dynamism of their menu. The waitress was very apologetic and clearly wanted to improve our situation through her service--and she did just that. Eagerly feeding my Diet Coke addiction, she refilled my glass no fewer than four times. The bread (which is actually warm, crusty bread and not that Olive Garden product) was delicious and plentiful. They serve it with olive oil and balsamic vinegar that soaks up quite nicely. My original plan was to get the Johnny Rocco salad (seafood), but it was temporarily unavailable because of the fridge. I was encouraged by my mates to try the house salad and soup lunch special and got a lovely, flavorful minestrone. The salad came with a tasty thick, creamy dressing. I joined the Carrabba's rewards club before hand and received one free appetizer. We all shared the zucchini fries. They were decent, but nothing to get too giddy about. All in all, the lunch was better than I would have expected given the circumstances. I've only been to Olive Garden before this trip, and I must say I will be redirecting all my mid-price Italian cravings to Carrabba's from now on. read more

Imagine our surprise when we walked into the newly remodeled Carrabba's tonight, and found it was just like walking into a Denny's. We loved the ambiance of the old Carrabba's. Very disappointed in the furnishings. The food is still phenomenal but wow! The prices have REALLY increased. I have to give 4 stars. 5 would have been for the food but the atmosphere kind of sucks. Our waitress was DARLING. So personable and accommodating to all of us in her station. Thank you, Em!! Hopefully this grows on everyone who eats here. Very disappointing. The new remodel makes me feel like I was at Dennys. They removed the character of the restaurant. Went last night and took family from out of town and I was so embarrassed with the surroundings. The fillet Bryan was cold and hard. The potatoes were cold and hard. Could not eat them. Three of the four plates we ordered were sent back because they were cold. It was difficult to get drink refills. We have come here for years. Sadly it seems time to move on. I can't figure out why they made the already small waiting area smaller, kept the separated front dining area that is cold and looks feels like a cafeteria, painted beautiful warm brick and removed everything that had warmth and made you want to go there and spend $90 for a dinner for two. Carrabba's food is good, no question, but today I'm raving about the service. I belong to a Scottish Clan society that meets for dinner twice a year. This week we descended on Carraba's. I had called ahead to warn them that we would have a group of 16. We actually had 25 show up. The staff were impeccably professional, accommodating, and pleasant. They welcomed us and helped us and served us and took care of us and then thanked us for coming. These people know how to do customer service! read more

This is the 5th time we have given this place a chance. Last time for sure. The only good thing was the server. Food was over priced, and slopped on our plates. My salad had so much dressing I couldn't eat the bottom half it was like soup. It was supposed to have red bell peppers on it. I suppose it did if you count 2 slices. My son's lasagne was disgusting, and we ended up having to go buy him dinner somewhere else, after wasting $100 on a terrible dinner. My husband got the wood fired chicken, and pasta, the pasta was dry and looked like it has been sitting on tomato sauce that had dried off. Don't waste your money here. This is my first time being here. I was kind of sad they didn't bring out breadsticks but the bread was still great! I ended up getting the chicken Parmesan and I was pleasantly surprised. It didn't look that great but tasted very good! Will definitely order in the future. I still prefer olive gardens chicken parm, but this was a close second. We have been here several times over the years. We just experienced awful customer service from the hostess. We have a party of 7 we are waiting to be seated. I asked if we could be seated while the rest of our party came so we could order drinks. They no longer have a bar. The hostess said we would have to have the rest of our party arrive before they could seat us. Totally understood and fine here's the kicker....., she went on about how we need to order food when our party comes. I told here we were coming for dinner and drinks. Then she went on that was not enough for her. I started to get upset and said lady we are going to order a lot of food and drinks. That did nothing stop it. She wanted to persist about the food and how it hurts the servers income. Again I said the bill will be large. This time I raised my voice and when her manager came over she changed her narrative that she wanted to know what time our party was coming and that's what she wanted to know all along. Have always loved this place!!! I love any type of carb and I pig out here!!! Honestly, the best Alfredo Pasta EVER; creamy and cheesy and just to die for!!! Chicken Parmesan was on a whole new level!!! My husband could have downed three more EASY!!! I know that Spaghetti is easy to make and all, but it really comes down to the sauce and man do they have awesome sauce!!! Calamari was the BEST I have ever had!!! Smoothies were great and next time I am adding a shot. That would be even better!!! The only downside was the service. I go to restaurants for the food and that is what I rate on. I wish there were stars for the service. Waitress was SUPER inattentive. Would have to ask for refills on bread and things that are completely obvious that are gone and would still take forever to get to our table. Had explained how our bill should be split and didn't do what was asked. Kept disappearing for long periods of time and flirting with other employees. Took us a half hour just to pay our bill because of the disappearing act. Had to ask her coworkers to help us sense she was just gone every time we needed assistance. I went to pick it up and waited 15 minutes for my order I went to the carryout it was not ready they said they would get it they gave me my soup and I returned my car I returned to the restaurant and said I did not receive bread they said oh we are out of bread so we could give you a drink since I do not drink sugar that didn't do me any good I said that wouldn't do me any good why couldn't they refund my tip that I had already given them or refund my soup the service here is awful once again they deserve zero stars horrible service how do you want customers to return if you have crappy customer service? Terrible, terrible experience here the week before last. Some of the worst, if not THE worst service we've ever had at a restaurant. The hostess ignored us when we walked in. She walked over to the ringing phone and put a single finger up, like hold on while I take this call. When she finished the call, she looked up without smiling and said simply "how many." Like we were inconveniencing her in some unforgivable way. We said "Two. And can we have a private booth?" Again, she made it seem like it was the biggest deal in the world that we wanted a little space for what we hoped would be a private, romantic meal. She explained what a big hassle it would be and asked us if we were sure we needed a booth. Another employee (who was super super nice and accommodating! Wish we could have had him for a server) picked up on her tone and did his best to soften the mood and help us out. I don't need to be doted over and have a pretty high tolerance for rudeness but.. as a hostess? It's your ONLY JOB to be friendly and to at least SMILE and help your guests get seated. So that started things off badly. We got similarly unfriendly vibes from our server (not as bad). He was sarcastic and unhelpful when we asked for recommendations. When I asked what wine would go best with the alfredo he says "I don't know. I'm not a wine connoisseur." He didn't say it like it was a joke; he was just being a straight up dick. So we ordered the house wine. The food was good but a bit overpriced, and the girl who ran the food out was really nice. Just seemed like a huge waste of $70 to go to someplace slightly more upscale and be treated like dirt. We wanted a romantic evening and instead had difficulty focusing on anything but the remarkably bad service. So if you want food that's marginally better than Olive Garden at double the price and with abysmal service, Carrabbas is the place for you. Don't make the mistake we made and come here. After dinner, we went to Midici for dessert. We strongly recommend you visit them instead based on their service, quality, and value- none of which Carrabbas had. read more

Well there is nothing quite like spending $55 (not including tip) on dinner for 2, only to stop and get your husband Wendy's on the way home because his Ribeye was barely edible. It had no flavor, was extremely chewy, just over all no good and cost us $25. They have also remodeled recently. While the walls are cute brick the new furniture and atmosphere make it feel more like a cheap cafe than an upscale Italian restaurant. We were also placed right outside of the open kitchen and had to listen to everyone going in and out yelling "corner" every time they came out of it. The review got 2 stars only because at least my meal wasn't awful. I had been so excited for my date night with the hubby and the whole thing turned into a total bust. I used to love this place and it had been a favorite of mine, but now I am not so sure. read more

We left my brother's house this morning for the drive to Bryce and by 12:30 were starting to get hungry for lunch. We are of the opinion that college towns are the best location for interesting ethnic restaurants. We avoid chains. So when we saw a sign for BYU we pulled off I-15 and drove into town. Eventually we pulled into a shopping center to reconnoiter. Alan found Carrabba's on his iPhone. He saw an electronics store right in that shopping center and headed that way to pick up an accessory for listening to the iPod in the car. He checked w/ the fellow who helped him about Carrabba's and was heartily encouraged to give it a try, so we did. We were greeted and seated. The specials board by the hostess station listed Limoncello bread pudding, which sounded heavenly. Our waitress greeted us enthusiastically, asking if we'd been there before, etc. She assured us that everything there was homemade. I requested iced tea and Alan requested water. We were brought bread and a plate of herbs to which she added olive oil. She offered to bring balsamic and we added that. We both decided to order a steak sandwich, mine rare, Alan's medium rare. Alan ordered a side salad for us to share. Alan asked that his sandwich not contain provolone. I was fine w/ provolone on mine. Our waitress checked back w/ us to see if we needed more bread (no, we were limiting ourselves because we were having sandwiches) and brought a refill of iced tea, which I passed on to Alan. Both sandwiches came w/ provolone, but he was hungry so he ate it as is. The sandwiches were delicious, the meat of good quality and the mushrooms and sauce containing bits of prosciutto enhancing it. The rolls were on the small side and not too heavy, just the way we like them. The sandwiches were accompanied by a scattering of tasty French fries rather than a mountain, which we also prefer. The salad never arrived. Our waitress was dismayed and apologetic about the cheese on Alan's sandwich and the missing salad. I was about to order a bread pudding which she wanted to comp me but then she mentioned that it would take 20 minutes and we wanted to get back on the road. Finally she offered to bring us tiny little house desserts. I took a chocolate one and it was delicious. Alan declined. She made sure that the salad was removed from our bill and then asked me if she could send some iced tea w/ us to drink on the road. It was the sweetest offer and I didn't even get her name! The restaurant in Orem, Utah used to be one of mine and my husband's favorite date night spots. We walked in the other night and it quickly reminded me of a cheap diner such as Denny's. It was a late night dinner and the restaurant was incredibly bright. It definitely did not feel intimate and cozy like it used to. The booths feel incredibly cheap and there is no longer a beautiful bar to sit at. While the food is still tasty, I felt like I was being overcharged for the cheap atmosphere I had to endure the hour we were there. Definitely didn't feel like I should have walked out of there with a bill of $60 for 2 people...not from a place like that. We are very sad to lose the old Carrabba's. Surely they must have done some research and received feedback before they went with the remodel. It appears there are several people complaining of the same things I am. read more

We had a party there today and there were about 30 of us. Everybody got food but for some reason mine was skipped. Waitress told me that mine would be coming soon. I was patiently waiting for a long time. Most of the people were done so I was getting little frustrated. I was looking around and see if I could check for my food but nobody came to even check how food was. I asked the organizer to find someone for me. Finally my food came but it was a wrong food. No apology for that either. While my food was being fixed, I finally grabbed my waitress. I asked her if she had forgotten me. She never apologized to me for forgetting my food. By the time my food arrived, everybody was done eating and ready to leave. I told them to just pack it. Worst part was that Nobody came to apologize for there mistakes. If we are bringing that many people, it won't hurt for the manager to come around and check our tables. We come to this restaurant often but their quality is declining. I will never go back there again and I will not recommend it to anybody read more

I live over an hour away unfortunately, so I usually only make it out once a month and in that time, they have been doing some serious remodeling and YIKES!! It is horrible. We had to move tables because the overhead light was so bright and bouncing off of the new white tables that it almost burned my eyeballs out and it gave me a massive headache that quick. The decor has no ambiance anymore. It really reminds me of a fast food restaurant now. The booths are really tight, I would have moved anyway even if the lights were not insanely bright, I felt really claustrophobic and the table legs are all in the way of your actual legs. They are not done in front of the house yet and the waiting room is going to be really tiny, I have no idea where everyone will wait for a table when the house is packed and it's 20 degrees outside. The food tonight was disappointing as well. My chicken marsala was one stage above raw and not nearly cooked enough, the salad was mostly wilted and the penne pomodoro was loaded with so much sauce, it didn't even look good. On a side note about the pasta.... the Cavatappi Amatriciana was way better than the penne pomodoro!! I wish they would bring it back! I really don't know what you can do now about the horrid decor. Definitely change those light bulbs! read more
