The food is good here but the service wasn't the best - considering it wasn't even a full house when I game with a group on a Friday morning. The food itself was very fresh and good! I loved the chicken sausage and was surprised at the flavor. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and had a great texture. They needed a little more salt in my opinion. This morning On Friday July 3rd, I visited the Pleasant Grove location. There was no wait to be seated, which was a great start, and we were looking forward to a relaxing breakfast together. Unfortunately, the experience steadily declined from there. After being seated, it took several minutes before anyone came to our table. When our server arrived, she offered coffee, which we accepted, but we were never offered water. I noticed that nearly every other table around us received both coffee and water automatically, so that stood out. When our food arrived, my eggs were significantly overcooked and had to be remade. While mistakes happen and I certainly understand that, it added additional wait time to the meal. Throughout breakfast, service felt very inattentive. We had to request extra napkins, ask for coffee and water refills ourselves, and rarely saw our server check on the table. One thing that really surprised us was that she brought our check while we were still eating. I've dined at many restaurants, including First Watch, and it's unusual to receive the bill halfway through the meal rather than after you're finished. After Bill was placed on the table, we didn't see our server again. The final disappointment came after we had finished eating. We stayed for a few minutes talking, and when we were ready to leave with our leftovers, we waited approximately 20 minutes without seeing our server. I finally had to find another waitress just to get a takeout box. Individually, none of these issues would have been a major concern. However, when you combine them all together, it resulted in a disappointing overall experience from beginning to end. I realize our server may have been new, and I truly don't enjoy criticizing someone who is learning. My intent isn't to get anyone in trouble. Rather, I wanted management to understand why what should have been an enjoyable breakfast with my daughter turned into an experience that left us questioning whether we'll return. read more

Went to First Watch in Florida and was blown awaaaaay by the blueberry cornbread skillet and brown sugar bacon. Mindblowingly good. That magic is horribly missing at this location... Out comes a room temperature skillet and sad floppy bacon. Not worth visiting again, which is disappointing, knowing how good the real deal is. read more

This place is busy in the mornings but it is so worth going! I love that they have outdoor seating! The indoor seating is great too and can accommodate large parties! Our waiter was so sweet and helpful! We ordered and our food came out so fast! It was great! I can't wait to come back for another brunch! read more

I am rating a 3 based off our first timer experience. The waitress was friendly however when we had questions she wasn't anywhere to be found. We went around 930-10 on a Monday. She popped by a maybe 2 times to check on us, and she had forgotten our sons drinks (we ordered 2 kids meals that came with drinks and only got one) we had to remind her to bring them, but still only got one kids milk. I had ordered the salmon Benedict and it was not good. It said the salmon would be smoked but it was for sure raw salmon. Not the flavors I wanted to for breakfast and it didn't pair well at all with the hollandaise sauce or anything. I only ate the potato's that came with the dish. My husband ordered the veggie omelette and ate that and my the rest of my dish (because he didn't want me to send it back) The pros to this was a decent kids menu, plus size seating friendly, big restaurant great for small and large parties, and clean bathrooms The cons over priced even if it is made fresh to order or more clean, still very over priced in my opinion, need larger water cups, maple syrup was to hot to touch for a couple minutes, and the music was very loud. All in all probably won't go back due to pricing,unless it is comped or our family is buying , but ya it was fine. read more

Good Intentions, Unmemorable Breakfast First Watch has a menu that sounds exciting, and that is precisely the problem. I have visited this location more than once hoping the kitchen would eventually catch up to it. It never has. What you get each time is a menu full of promise and a plate that falls short of it. The ambience is clean and simple, the staff is genuinely friendly, and the menu reads beautifully. That makes the execution gap all the more frustrating. The bacon arrived nowhere near the crispy I requested. It happens, so I asked for another order. It came back identical to the first. At some point that stops being a mistake and starts being the kitchen not listening, or simply not caring enough to get it right. Crispy bacon is not a complicated ask. The strawberry tres leches French toast sounded like the star of the menu. Challah bread, fresh glazed strawberries, dulce de leche, whipped cream, gingerbread cookie crumbles. On paper it is a game changer. On the plate it was dry and under-sauced. The dulce de leche was hardly present, the fruit felt sparse, and the crumbles were barely present. With a name and ingredient list like that, dry should never be the word that comes to mind. We spent $36 for two, which is standard for this type of place and not the issue. The issue is that the food did not back up the promise of the menu. The staff deserves credit and the concept is solid. But a kitchen that cannot crisp bacon on the second attempt or deliver on its signature dish is going to lose people. This one lost me. read more

First Watch in PG was such a great brunch spot! We got the Bacado omelet, the Elevated Egg Sandwich, a hot chocolate, and a Purple Haze. Everything had awesome flavor, came out piping hot, and the portions were more than fair for the price. My omelet was delicious, and the side potatoes were amazing too. Service was great! We joined the waitlist through the app and were helped right away when we arrived. Even though it was busy with people checking it out for the first time, everything still felt clean and well organized. Holy wow. I wish this had opened closer to Sandy, but after a drive through the canyon, this place hit the spot. I joined the waitlist on their website, minimizing our wait at the restaurant, which was so helpful. My husband was not thrilled about the menu, but he ended up loving it. He got the Million Dollar Potatoes on the side of his biscuit and gravy--so delicious. I got a traditional breakfast. It was so good! I would've loved the potatoes to be crispier, but the flavor was so yummy. I also got a blueberry muffin which I ate later. My orange juice was fresh and delicious too. Our service was really great all around. Our food took a little bit to come out, but not an excessively long time considering how busy they were. Truly, this spot was so, so good. I was blown away. I came here on their first day of opening and ordered a Parma skillet, Chickichanga along with the Purple Haze and Morning meditation drinks. The servers were very friendly, and seated us promptly. The Parma skillet potatoes were soft, and the toast was crispy yet warm. However, the potatoes were a little salty for my taste. The Chickichanga was also delicious, but was a little heavy on the sauce for my liking. For the drinks, the Purple Haze was a fan favorite. It had the perfect sweetness and was also very pretty! Had a great brunch at First Watch today! I ordered the Power Wrap and my husband got the French Toast, and everything was delicious. The real surprise though was the Million Dollar Potatoes -- they were seriously amazing and probably my favorite thing we tried. Also wanted to give a special shout-out to the wonderful lady at the front desk (I believe her name was Sherry). She was incredibly patient, friendly, and helpful while getting us seated, which made the whole experience even better. This is easily my new favorite restraunt. I recently had to start eating healthier and this feels like the most healthy conscious breakfast spot I have been to. The pancakes are multigrain the portions aren't gigantic and you leave feeling good and nor sluggish. Both times ive been the servers address my kids (6 & 8) directly and let them order for themselves and any questions about their food have been directed to them. It is a very relaxed environment that isn't too loud and the inside just feels clean and welcoming. I am planning to take my friend this weekend and will likely go back next weekend. read more

I was so excited for this place to open but left a little disappointed. Since it's their first week, I'm trying to give them grace and will try again in the future. I joined the waitlist online and checked in at the host stand when I arrived. The host said only two groups were ahead of us, but after 20 minutes and several other groups being seated, I had to ask what was going on. She said they actually had a table for us a while ago and that I should've received a text, but I never did. She blamed it on their system not working right, but since they were calling out names anyway, I'm not sure why the text would've mattered. She didn't seem very apologetic which was a little frustrating considering we were waiting awhile and they let so many groups go ahead of us. Three of us ordered the iced coffee and it was such a letdown, it tasted like milk with no coffee flavor at all. I don't think they can even call it coffee. I got the Floridian French toast which was good, especially the blueberry compote. My husband and a friend got the elevated egg sandwich with million-dollar potatoes. They said the sandwich needed something, but the potatoes were good. Another friend ordered the traditional plate with a side of Belgian waffles, he liked the waffle but said the rest was just okay, and his toast wasn't toasted. Our waitress was nice but started bringing checks and asking about boxes less than 15 minutes after we got our food, which felt rushed. Especially since we were all still clearly eating. We are SO excited to have a First Watch location fairly close to our home in South Jordan! We have enjoyed delicious meals at their restaurants while living in Phoenix and St. Petersburg, FL, and we were initially disappointed to find there were no locations near our new home in UT. When we discovered this new location in Pleasant Grove, we danced, then drove down for a nice weekday brunch. We were astonished at how wonderful the food and service were, given this location has only been open for a week, and the restaurant itself is tastefully decorated and inviting. The staff couldn't have been nicer, especially our efficient and personable server, Josie, who is a perfect ambassador for First Watch. This place is pretty cute and is open on Sundays in Utah county, so that wins it points. Their menu is robust and offers a variety of options for health seekers and gluttons alike. I got the farmhouse hash and it was ok. The potatoes left everyone in our party wanting, and the coffee is what I would expect of anywhere in Utah county serving coffee- mid. The wait staff was excellent with our large party, which is a feat in and of itself, as we had 8 people. It was a solid breakfast spot, but there are better places that either offer better value, better breakfast potatoes and several places that offer better coffee. They have quite an expansive menu with really unique menu items so that was fun to see! I also like that they do a few specials that they change up. I got the chimmichurri steak hash bowl and it was great! I was there was more steak in it though. I also got their special bacon and it was really good but also came out cold which wasn't ideal. My coworker got the biscuits and gravy and I was told it was not good and had a weird taste. The blueberry cornbread with lemon butter was the table favorite! Then we were told it would be an additional 45 minutes after waiting 90 minutes. The front of house was not adequately staffed and organized on Mother's Day and failed to communicate and manage. It was a hassle to even get our name on the wait list. We watched groups that came before us get seated first and it was very frustrating. It was apparent that the staff had completely abandoned their table seating system in the chaos and I'm certain we were confused with another group; they just completely lost track of us. Food is great but service sucks. Today was the second time my wife and I go to this location, now it was with the company of her grandmother. We requested more time to look at the menu, we were not offer water and once we were trying to get a hold of the waitress it took a long time for her to come back at our table. Not so long after the food was served and the food was great. While eating they brought us the check, my wife ask why they brought it so early especially when it was not as busy to which they responded that it was the norm. I'm from Dallas and every time we eat at any location over there or in any other state this type of "service" has never happen to us, in fact we have gone to the taylorsville location and that also didn't happen. Spoke to the manager and they said that was their regulation across all their locations, but how come this is the only location where this has ever happened? He also mentioned that they were not supposed to offer water if you get a juice... but last time we both ordered coffee and they also didn't offer water. These behaviors happening for a second time in this exact location and the fact that the manager excused this behavior as their "standard" feels like they should not only re-train their staff but the manager of this specific location, otherwise first watch feels at risk of losing long time clients, but it's up to the owners if they are willing to risk their sales like that. read more

My first experience at First Watch did not disappoint. I had an incredible omelette called "the works". Fluffy eggs with 3 meats and every veggie. I opted for the greens instead of a pancake. My friend had the $1 million potatoes and a sandwich. He loved it! We also split a plate of the million dollar bacon. Highly recommended. Bacon that rivals "True Religion's" bacon in Orem is saving A LOT! Prompt service, great attitude, clean establishment, and super busy. It all says this is a winner. I almost hate to give a 5 star review as I'm worried, it's going to be so crowded, I will never get back in. Definitely 5 Star with everything I ate and the service I received. This restaurant is amazing. Every piece of the food was great. If I had to pick one item, the blueberry lemon scone was my favorite. But be warned, it is seasonal. So, if you read this in June, don't be mad at me. Server was friendly and kept us stocked on coffee and water. Brought us to-go coffees which was great because the coffee was so good. I love that they made the restaurant specific to the town. This created a hometown atmosphere that made the experience even better. This is a must try. I will definitely be back. Besides being forgotten for 20 minutes after being seated, beware of ordering the barbacoa chilaquiles. They do not cook the chilaquiles. They drizzle red enchilada sauce and a little sour cream over tortilla chips, and that's it. The minimal barbacoa beef was hidden under the chips and black beans. I ordered the BLT Eggs Benedict. I almost always order a Benedict when I go to brunch anywhere, so I've had many. I've never returned a dish to the kitchen until today. On this Benedict, the eggs were very, very underdone-so much that the whites were almost clear around the yolk. As I said, I've never returned a plate at a restaurant, but I couldn't eat any of it with a raw egg on top. I was very apologetic and showed the server how loose the egg white was and explained that it wasn't poached quite enough. She was very nice and asked me if I still wanted a poached egg, I said yes, please! They brought out a new plate. It was definitely just 2 peeled hard boiled eggs with hollandaise on top. The kind server asked us how it was, and I said- "Well, it's 2 hard boiled eggs..." and she said, "yeah, sorry. I told them you wanted it poached." I recognize poaching an egg isn't easy! I'm only leaving a review because someone in the kitchen thinks the way they poach the egg is right, and if you think otherwise then you must not know what you're talking about.
