We've been to Carrabba's before and fort Myers St Pete maybe I'm ordering the wrong thing. We decided to eat at the bar seeing was quicker that way it was packed the bar area fun place to be the bartenders that we had Helena and I can't remember the other guy's name service was great. I ordered the Italian trio lasagna fettuccine alfredo and chicken parm I can say the lasagna was the best of the three then the chicken parm only because of the flavor not the toughness of the chicken that was very very thin so overcooked but the sauce and cheese was good the fettuccine alfredo not sure what they made the Alfredo sauce with that tasted like skim milk with powdered cheese alfredo sauce to put on it the noodles were cooked perfect though. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Want to have a good time on and have something to eat try the bar. snowbirds are here so it was really packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Me personally with my experiences at Carrabba's I don't think that anything you order is going to be better than what you can make at home like I said I had to make alfredo sauce for the fettuccine will we go back maybe for appetizers but as of right now we weren't that impressed and my lady got the fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and steak but because the fettuccine sauce was so bland it took away from the flavor of the shrimp and steak so she decided not to eat it there and wait until we got home so I can make some alfredo sauce. I think the bar is pretty cool I'll be honest it's cool it's straight drinks were good they got a nice happy hour and they do have a lot of regulars that go there we noticed. I recently attended a banquet at Carrabba's Italian Grill for about 40 people on a Sunday afternoon and was impressed with how well the restaurant managed our large group. We were allowed to order freely from the regular dinner menu, which could have been chaotic, but the staff handled it well. The service was efficient, with plenty of servers and a well-staffed kitchen, ensuring that all 40 dinners arrived in a timely manner. The bar service was also commendable; everyone enjoyed their drinks, and I opted for a couple of Peroni, a premium Italian lager. When dining in an Italian restaurant, it's hard to resist the best-selling beer in Italy. I started dinner with the Caesar salad, which was fresh and topped with croutons and Parmesan cheese. For the main course, I ordered chicken parmesan--two thinly pounded pieces of chicken that were perfectly cooked. The cutlets were nicely coated in breadcrumbs, sautéed, and topped with Carrabba's pomodoro sauce, along with a blend of parmesan, romano, and mozzarella cheese. My side of penne pasta was well-prepared and generously portioned. The other dishes served to guests looked just as delicious, and it seemed like everyone was enjoying the food. With chain restaurants, experiences can vary by location, but the team at this Carrabba's worked hard to provide us with a great casual dining experience for a large group. Terribly under staffed. The employees working did a fantastic job under the circumstances. However it felt like we had counter service. Salad, entrees, then bread, then cocktails after we sent the food runner to get them from the bar. Like I mentioned, our server was wonderful. I did not see one manager. We were celebrating my granddaughter's birthday, the food was delicious, the drinks were reasonably priced and the service provided by Jason and his coworkers was truly amazing. He was attentive and very kind. We would go back to this location and definitely request Jason to be our server. Gave both me and my grandmother food poisoning. I ordered chicken Parmesan which was very poorly breaded (giving it an awful chewy/not crunchy texture) the chicken itself tasted like it was a day old. Tomato sauce was extremely acidic and the pasta wasn't cooked all the way. My grandmother got the veal piccata. The veal was extremely thick and tough with a not so great flavor. The workers were extremely kind and understanding, they refunded us and apologized. I just don't think that we will be coming back to this location unfortunately. read more

We were there for the Cask and Barrel Bourbon Dinner and had a wonderful time. The service was wonderful the drinks were great and most of the food was outstanding. However the Delmonico steak was chewy and all gristle. I took it home and tried to cut some good pieces from it with no luck. I had to throw it away. We recently had two good experiences with Carrabbas. Once we dined in and once we ordered delivery. The food was very good both times. The lobster ravioli and the lasagna were delivered and held up well. When we dined in, my husband and I shared the chicken trio. It was more food than we could eat and it was excellent. The chicken was cooked as it should be. The only thing that was disappointing was the cute little cheese and meat bite that comes atop the 9oz glass of wine. It's a brilliant presentation but neither the cheese nor the meat (prosciutto?) was edible. It was awful. Both were bland and had no flavor. Not a big deal but it's so cute, I would purposely order wine just for that, if it were better. It needs a nice piece of sharp paramsean or something similar. We went on a Wednesday and they have deals on wine including $10 off if you buy a bottle, basically equals 1-2 glasses for free. We sat in the bar and our server Matthew was a delight, attentive without being overbearing. Happy Hour, one of the best in town. Yes, this review is simply about the happy hour appetizers and the 9 oz sangria or house wines for the price of the 6 oz. My husband loves the mussels and that portion is huge. That can be dinner for him. I really enjoy the flatbread and the soups are perfect. The fresh salads add to the options too. Seating is anywhere around the bar or any of the bar area community or booth tables. Servers are friendly and remember you, so be kind. As a longtime fan of Carrabba's in various locations, we were pleased with our dinner at the Sarasota location. Varied menu options, great happy hour selections, decent wine list for a chain restaurant. Salads were overdressed, but one of the two (the Caesar) was quite tasty. Chicken Rosa Maria, a favorite, and Linguine Pescatore were very good with ample helpings. Two negatives for the kitchen - The Chicken was filled with runny fontina cheese, but the noted prosciutto was missing. And only 2 of the 6 mussels in the pasta dish were opened - whoever plated the dinner should have noted this, as seafood is the point of Pescatore. As we didn't see our server again until after we finished dinner, rectifying the mussel issue wasn't feasible at that point. And she seemed perplexed when the closed mussels were mentioned - We will return again to enjoy the happy hour options, but probably not for dinner entrees as 2 issues out of 2 entrees isn't a good ratio. read more

Another outstanding wine pairing dinner last evening ! Scallops w/garlic cream-so tender! Then the osso buco raviolis w/tomatoes & spinach that sauce was delish! Then a tenderloin with mixed Fresh Veggs-also great!! Paired with 2 J Lohr Chardonnay & a Cab and 2 Austin Hope wines the Trouble Maker & Cab !! Can't go wrong with these wines. Generous pours. Carrabba's is open for lunch Not sure when they started serving lunch, perhaps quite a while ago, but the restaurant was hardly busy when we stopped in today. They have a few lunch specials, combo soup, salad, and small dish choices, as well as sandwiches and as we found, pasta dishes. More food than I needed for lunch, I picked their Fettuccini Carrabba. It was really good. We started with bread and the dipping oil and herbs. Nice start, soft crusty bread and plenty of the dipping oil. Following, we both had a Caesar side salad, it lacked enough dressing but looked good and was refreshingly cool. The Fettuccini Carrabba includes grilled chicken slices and mushrooms, and it looked like a lot of food when it arrived. Of course, I had just eaten a bunch of bread and a salad, and I did end up bringing some Fettuccini home for later. Service was prompt. With few customers I wondered how that would go but it went extremely well. For example, just as I reached the bottom of my soda another one was dropped off. When we needed boxes and the check, our server was right there to get it done. read more
