May 5, 2026 - USCG Aux Flotilla meeting. 30 plus people. We decided to have a family and guest social and The Maine Line was invited to supply the meal to our members, guests, and family. Obviously reviewed here on Yelp and Google (I will cross post this review on both) this looked like it was going to be tasty and enjoyable "MAINE COURSE!!!" It was! I have no idea who many actual lobsters or tacos and sandwich or desserts we took down but it looks like most of the 30 plus at the meeting were eating and enjoying themselves. I got the signature Maine Lobster (Lobstah) Roll, with/cole slaw & bag of (of course) Cape Cod chips. The buttery bread/roll and the lobster were stunning!!!!! Not little lobster bisque scraps of lobster!!! This was tail and claw hunks o' meat!!! REALLY nice. Also I got the New England Clam Chowder (Chowdah) to make sure I tried their main items (and keep it under 6,000 calories for the meal!!!!) This was a GREAT chowder and so very authentic as you would expect! with "chunks of clam" and nice potato content, not a starchy potato mash soup. GREAT job. I am getting a big 16 OZ bowl next time! Finally (and I will admit here since I don't think any of the flotilla folks will see it) since I am the Commander of the base and host for this event, the owner threw in an authentic Steve's Snacks Bakery, Skowhegan ME cold and creamy Maine Whoopie Pie for dessert. (as if my uniform was not already bulging to capacity! WOW! Had not had a whoopie pie for DECADES!!!! This thing is a monster and meal all by itself, But great every bit!!! THANK YOU The Maine Line you really made out guests and members happy and we were so pleased you came out!!! We received many requests to make this an annual event or possibly a few times a year. read more

Definitely the best lobster roll in the area. Just sweet, succulent, lobster meat, and fresh! I think I've tried six restaurants, calling ahead of time to find out their portion size, they all claim"8 oz"! Then I get the sandwich. Disappointment. I've brought most of them home and weighed the meat. They usually give you about 3 1/2 ounces or so. These guys don't mess around! read more

This is our second time eating the lobster rolls from The Maine Line and it was another 5 star experience. This is the perfect lobster roll. Friendly efficient service, fair price and outstanding product. I wouldn't change a thing. We drove almost an hour to get to their location and it was worth it! read more

Overall - 10/10 Food - 10/10, if you love lobster like me, this is exactly what you would hope for but even better. Very generous portions and amazing price for what you get. We came here for my sons birthday. Great Choice!!! My son and I shared the 1 lb. Lobster roll which comes with a cup of clam chowder,crackers ,2 potato chips, bib and two side orders of cold slaw. This is called the Maniac roll and for good reason. It costs $59.95 and is the best deal on their menu. The Lobster Rolls are to die for. Served on a delicious roll the lobster melts in your mouth. We opted for the warm lobster served with butter. They are Super nice Mainers who serve you with a smile and terrific service. They serve only claws in their rolls and the meat is flown in 2 or 3 times a week from Maine. They are usually in two locations each day. One for lunch and one for dinner. Locations are usually in Sarasota and Venice . They post these every week on Facebook. If you love authentic Lobster Rolls , this is definitely the place to get them. read more

Nov 11th Sat 2023. The bad rating is not because of the food which was excellent! They had a truck at our church's special event. Our lunch break was 90 mins. They were ill prepared for the amount of people at the event! I had to wait on line for over a damn hour and then spend 15 to 20 mins to rush through my lunch! The service was vile crappy quite disgusting! I'm going to ask my church to never let them back unless the come ready to do it right. We have nice people in our church everyone are always pleasant! The service this company provides is absolute crap! It's way too bad because their food is excellent! They destroyed the enjoyment of my lunch! read more

This is absolutely the real thing as 'far as lobster rolls go. Fresh Maine cold water lobster never frozen and freshly cleaned. Also be sure to try the red hot dogs "Snappers "direct from Maine on a top split roll. We drove 25 miles to enjoy this food truck We were not disappointed. They have many lobster roll options. The rolls come with coleslaw and a bag of chips. Friends of ours that we traveled to Maine with brought us here. The lobster roll was the best we have tasted so far in our travels. Better than the 2 I had in Cape Cod as well. Loved the clam chowdah as well. Perfect flavor blend and had clams you could taste. Worth the 30 minute drive from Port Charlotte. Hope to visit again before I leave Florida. Good claw lobster meat in large chunks, but the roll overall has none of the flavors typically found in New England. Bland mayonnaise, no celery bits, no spices, no herbs -- just bland as can be. If you've ever had a great lobster roll up around, say, New Bedford, MA, these just don't cut it. read more
