I have had facials done off and on over the years. Mostly, I have been disappointed. After a mediocre cleansing and moisturizing, I'd get a hard sell for whatever product du jour the technician was selling. But I think I have finally found an aesthetician who is willing to work hard to help me maintain my skin as I age. Carrie is a very pleasant woman who clearly knows what she is doing. I have seen her quite a few times but only just gone around to doing a write up. She uses excellent products from Eminence and made some recommendations but never pushed me to make any purchases. (I did purchase some products and now have a simple but very effective routine for my skin). My skin has always been very sensitive and as I have aged, my skin has become more fragile. Carrie has helped to strengthen my skin and shown me how to use my Eminence routine to keep my skin moisturized and protected. Carrie is a hard worker, eager to please her clients, responds quickly to my texts for appointments and always follows up. She always manages her schedule and accommodates my inconsistent schedule. How many complimentary things am I allowed to say about the lovely Carrie? Her skin care prowess is AMAZING! I've been seeing Carrie for years, I found her after trying facials from just about every place in the South Bay. First of all you will never find anyone kinder and sweeter - I adore her personality. She is always up and happy and I swear her attitude makes a difference! Every treatment is wonderful, she uses (& luckily sells) the Eminence line. And may I say how refreshing it is to have a service and NOT have them run an upsell on you during the whole treatment to buy products? Carrie never pushes anything on you and actually recommends products or treatments that you can find in your kitchen or at the 99 cent store. Having said that, the Eminence products are worth every (many of them) penny. I have had so many facials where a mask is slapped on and the treatment provider leaves the room for 15 minutes and then comes back. But of course, you're paying for that 15 minutes under the mask in the empty room. Carrie never leaves you. If there is a product on your face that needs to soak for awhile Carrie is giving you the most amazing foot and leg massage ever! I swear the first time this happened I thought that I had made a mistake and booked a massage along with my facial-she's THAT good! But no, this is just an example of how fantastic Carrie is and how well she treats her clients. She makes you feel that every facial you get is geared entirely to your skin. I've had so many facials elsewhere where you get the same exact facial every single time-you feel like someone is just following a set template. This never happens with Carrie. I went to Carrie for the first time last week, and received The Duo (Facial/Microdermabrasion & Massage.) Holy amazingness! My skin has never felt so clean after a facial, and I absolutely love the eminence skincare line. Carrie was super sweet about listening to my skin concerns and telling me what she will use to address those issues. I also like how you get to fill out a "preference card" before your facial, such as if you prefer an oily or creamy moisturizer, or foamy vs gel cleanser, etc... After the facial, she went over a specific skincare routine that I can do, along with her product recommendations (even aside from the eminence line- such as a raw honey mask.) She was friendly and interesting, but she didn't blather on, knew just when to let me be silent & relax, and sink into the decadence.
