Heather and Kyle in the Service department are the best. A-Team! Purchased my 2024 Tahoe here and they take care of me every time. Friendly, Knowledgeable, Efficient. Cameron the service technician also awesome!! Well Done!!

I want to file a complaint regarding my recent experience at Carroll Chevrolet. When I brought my vehicle in for service, they damaged the roof of my new car and, subsequently, my new car's roof and, lied about it. After consulting with various mechanics at different locations, I learned that the damage likely occurred from improperly lifting the vehicle on a lift. I have pictures of the damage. Now, I have to pay out of pocket to repair my new vehicle, which has cost me over $2,000. I am so pissed off the fact that the service department lied about it.

Like the car, but the dealer is awful.

I purchased a preowned Chevy Bolt from Carroll Chevrolet. The only paperwork i received was the loan paperwork. No bill of sale or anything. I came home and went to IRS website and checked to see if the car qualified for the Tax Credit. And it does. ( according to Fueleconomy.gov) When you buy a car that does qualify, ''a seller must give you information about your vehicle's qualifications. Sellers must also register online and report the same information to the IRS. If they don't, your vehicle won't be eligible for the credit." IRS Publication 5905. Carroll Chevrolet, in a text message to me said ''they don't that'' and won't file or give me any paperwork. "Contact your CPA" was what the text message said. They also forgot to give me my key ring back that had one of my fobs on it for my trade in. It also had my house key, storage locker key, and post office box key. They put it in the mail to me the next day without tracking. But the package has been lost in mail. OH GREAT....MY HOUSE KEY IN A PACKAGE WITH MY ADDRESS ON IT IS LOST. No one thought to have the package trackable. And in the first week of owning the car, I've had the notorious "Disappearing Backup Camera" issue. And the "Cant shift out of gear" issue. Common reports on BoltForum.com. I will be taking the car to one of the Starling Group dealers to document these issues. But not Carroll. I also bet my ''Lifetime warranty" is a fiasco too. Not received any information regarding any warranty as another reviewer stated. I grew up in Osceola County and the Starling name was well regarded. I'm not so sure anymore. My advice....shop elsewhere.

    Owner, but not his number.

I had a very disappointing experience with DeLand Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram…read more I went in, agreed on a deal for a used car, and planned to pick it up the next day because I had to work. I had already sold my previous vehicle so I could use the money as a down payment. Instead, I waited five days and had to make two phone calls before I was finally told the car had been ready, and I was made to feel like the delay was somehow my fault--even though I had been told the vehicle would be ready. When I picked up the vehicle, it still had auction writing all over the windshield, making it obvious that it hadn't even been properly cleaned or prepared for delivery. I brought it up to the salesman, but he didn't seem to care or make any effort to address my concern. When I reviewed the paperwork, I found I had been signed up for a tire package that I don't remember agreeing to, especially since the vehicle didn't need new tires. When I called the dealership, the person at the front desk came across as dismissive and didn't seem interested in handling my concerns professionally. A few months later, I returned to the dealership with my brother, and instead of addressing my experience, I was encouraged to delete my review. I wasn't interested in removing an honest review when I still felt my concerns had never been resolved. To make matters worse, just seven days after purchasing the vehicle, the battery failed and I had to spend about $200 out of my own pocket to replace it. A manager eventually contacted me weeks later and offered a complimentary detail as a goodwill gesture. I accepted the offer, but after that I never heard back. Overall, I felt let down by the communication, the condition the vehicle was delivered in, the customer service, and the way my concerns were handled after the sale. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this dealership.

I was excited because this was my first newer vehicle, but unfortunately, it has been one problem after another. Within **two days** of purchasing the vehicle, the air conditioning stopped working. I made an appointment and brought it in. Vincent initially told me the repair would cost **$260**. After questioning the charge, I called my husband, who has extensive automotive experience, and asked Vincent to speak with him. My husband explained that the A/C system is sealed and that the pressure readings indicated there was clearly a leak. Suddenly, the repair went from costing $260 to only my **$50 warranty deductible**. While I appreciated that the issue was ultimately covered, I was left wondering why I was quoted $260 in the first place. Just **three days later**, while driving at highway speed with my children in the vehicle, the car suddenly flashed a warning message and **shut off while I was driving**. The dashboard displayed a message instructing me to put the vehicle in neutral and press the start button. It was terrifying. I had to read the message multiple times before I understood what it was telling me to do. Thankfully, I was able to restart the vehicle safely. When I took the vehicle back for an oil change, I immediately asked them to check for the fault code. I was simply told they couldn't find it. About a week later, the **driver's exterior door handle broke**, leaving me unable to open the driver's door from the outside. I now have to climb across the inside of my own 2023 vehicle just to drive it. I was told the repair would be covered with my **$50 deductible**, but the part would take about two months. Two months have passed, and I have **never received a single phone call or update** about the repair. This has been an incredibly disappointing experience. Spending **$26,000** on what was supposed to be a certified, reliable vehicle should not come with this many issues so quickly. Ironically, my **2015 Nissan Sentra** gave me far fewer headaches than this "certified" vehicle. The only positive part of my experience was the sales staff, who were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the service department has completely overshadowed that. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a dependable vehicle or reliable customer service. **Buyer beware.**

I originally left this dealership a 5-star review after buying my brand-new Frontier Pro-4X. My…read moresales rep Justin was great. I'm changing that review to 1 star because what happened after the sale was a completely different story. The review pattern makes sense to me now. Most of the 5-star reviews are about sales. A lot of the 1-star reviews are about service. I did not understand how real that split was until I needed serious warranty work. According to Nissan Consumer Affairs' own records, my truck spent 33 days out of service at this dealership alone (not including the additional time it later spent at another Nissan dealer). They did attempt repairs, but once they could not solve the major warranty issues, management put a path forward in writing through Nissan Consumer Affairs and then later reneged on that written agreement without notice. I escalated through management, BBB, and Nissan Consumer Affairs, so there is no misunderstanding and no lack of communication. Everything is documented. When I pursued the BBB route, the dealership responded by changing the story, denying what had already been documented, and publicly presenting a version of events that was flatly inconsistent with the written record. What made the reality impossible to ignore was this: another Nissan dealership (the one Nissan Consumer Affairs sent me to after DeLand Nissan declined to continue) later verified the same issues and began major repairs under Nissan oversight. That should tell you exactly where the problem was. If you buy here and plan to service the vehicle somewhere else, you may be fine. If this is the shop you expect to stand behind the vehicle after the sale when serious warranty issues come up, buyer beware. If you want the paper trail, search "BBB DeLand Nissan" and click "Complaints."

Went in Monday morning, made the deal without much hassle, went back to work, and picked up the vehicle that evening. They had to get a black on black from their storage lot or sister dealership otherwise I would have driven out with it right then and there in record time (comparatively speaking). I remember my 2 previous purchases with GYH had a lot of back and forth, took ALL day (my first purchase at GYH literally took the entire weekend) and were just painful, miserable and exhausting. I think their strategy is basically to beat you into submission. Truly befuddling compared to my Coggin experience. At Coggin, I had Sam as a Sales Rep (good cop) and he was a little more involved than the sales rep from GYH which meant I didn't have to deal with the Sales Manager (bad cop) as much. In all 3 of my experiences at GYH, the Sales Manager(s) were very rude, unprofessional and disrespectful (even as a repeat customer) so tbh I had a short fuse going into Coggin. When it came to talking price the sales manager put up a little fight but (smartly) knew when to back off so we agreed on purchase price and trade in value without too much BS. The finance guy also was also pretty laid back and was "no pressure" in terms of add-ons after the fact which I appreciated. So overall, I would say it was a fairly painless experience all things considered. In terms of a sales rep, I'd like to think that whoever you get at Coggin will also be as professional, polite, respectful and thorough as SAM as their overall corporate culture (on this visit) seemed more relaxed than GYH. So hopefully he is a representation of the rule not the exception. There's a lot of negativity that comes with buying a car at GYH. Not so much at Coggin. That was on top of parts, labour and taxes I asked about the fee and was told it's an environmental fee. The government sets environmental fees not Coggin and the fee definitely isn't 10% So then I read the disclaimer on the printout that said they charge a 10% shop supply fee( not environmental) to the customer. I asked why was I being charged for shop supplies? Shouldn't that be apart of the cost of parts and labour? The service advisor was obviously getting upset with me and mentioned that it was only $3.15. I said perfect then you can pay for it. The customer should not have to pay a shop supply fee on top of parts and labour. Any brake job is costing unsuspecting customers $40-$50 more for their service.
