We recently purchased a Mazda Cx5 from this location and it a super smooth experience, took about 2ish hours from start to finish. We initially saw one of their posts online and came to check out a car. While inspecting the car Derek had introduced him and answered all of our questions. We never felt pressured during the whole experience. We ended up with a newer model of the car we were originally interested in and couldn't be more happy with our purchase. We were able to test drive the vehicle and Derek made us aware of some solid safety features we weren't aware of. We were also able to trade in our previous car for value towards our new purchase. Abram in the financial department made it a straight forward experience and we were to go over all our financial options and make adjustments as needed. I had a good experience, up front with cost and fees; however, they absolutely try to sell you additional insurance, maintenance, and warranties. When they say return the car, no problem; it's true. I would just take your car to a mechanic immediately. I bought a beautiful car, a great deal, but my mechanic found the undercarriage was completely rusted out. Not surface rust but deep rust, making the car's safety questionable. I would look at their cars; just have it looked at. Don't go by what they tell you. read more

I bought a car 3 days ago from Driver's Mart Sanford. I believe I bought a good car at a reasonable price, had everything been in good order. However, on having the car professionally inspected by an ASE certified technician this morning, I was appalled to discover that the vehicle had been sold to me in dangerous condition with severe safety issues which Driver's Mart has refused to correct despite the cost of correcting the issues probably amounting to less than 1 to 2% of the value of the vehicle. My inspection revealed that all 4 directional tires on the vehicle had been mounted inside out meaning they had reduced traction, were wearing unevenly and generated increased road noise. They do not hold the car to the road as they should and it's a danger to drive. Additionally, the front left tire has a large flap of rubber cut out of it, deep enough that it's leaking air. The rigidity of the tire is severely compromised and it is a constant blowout risk. I pointed out both issues to Driver's Mart within their 5-day guaranteed return policy period and with less than 200 miles driven. Their general manager, Ricardo Gonzalez, told me that they refuse completely to take any responsibility for the condition they sold the car in and would not assist in fixing the issues in any way. He essentially dared me to return the vehicle and told me I was completely on my own. My advice is not to buy from this dealership. While the cars look nice and the prices are fairly attractive, the dealer does not stand behind their products in any way and they are completely willing to sell cars in unroadworthy and dangerous condition, even if they are fully aware of serious issued with the vehicle. They will even conceal these issues if it helps them secure a sale. Furthermore, they noted when I bought the car that the interior had not yet been detailed and that they would take care of an interior detail if I purchased. The reneged on this when I asked about it too, Mr Gonzalez telling me that "my guy just cleans, he doesn't do details" vehicles and implying that the best I could expect was a quick vacuum and once over with a rag. So please be prepared for them to conceal dangerous things from you, to refuse any kind of resolution and to completely renege on promises. read more

Deeply disappointed - not with the vehicle but with their responsiveness and paperwork. Never get a car from them and want an out of state title. They charged me for things they did not do. I had to do the whole process in Michigan although they told me they were "taking care of it" They refunded a bit. I called and wrote about 10 times and they rarely called back. Never got to talk about the situation. I was told it is "standard" They also took over $ 500 for a second key but then as we were about to head back a month later they said they could not get it. I just got the check 6 months later and numerous contacts. Their customer service... after the sale sucks. They are the worst car company I have ever dealt with. read more

Don't waste your time or your hard money buying a car here. They didn't disclose my car was in an accident, and repainted before purchase. I have had the car for a while now, and just now figuring it out they didn't disclose it was re painted. Also put gap insurance on without my permission, told me to call a few days later to get it taken off. Sounds like the guy was getting an insensitive, they put 10$ of gas in the car when it was on E of purchase. Just seems like shady business. Wouldn't recommend it again. read more

She took it in about 2 days after buying it for noises and they said nothing was wrong with the vehicle. She took it to our family mechanic of over 2 decades and there is over 2,000 in repairs. Sge spoke w/ the mgr and he said their mechanic says nothing is wrong so they won't fix it but if she wants she can take the car to a mechanic in Winter Park and pay to have it worked on?? What? BUYER BEWARE During a test drive of a 2015 BMW i3 hybrid at this dealership in March 2022, the air sensor for the front passenger tire lit. We returned to the dealership to refill the tire to resume the test drive. We purchased the vehicle (which was its own headache because we used our own credit union with more favorable terms which was not well received by them). Within a few days, the light returned & we discovered there was a nail in that tire. THEY SOLD US A CAR WITH A NAIL IN THE TIRE! We didn't report this or complain to them. The tire treads were low, so we knew the tires would need to be replaced eventually, so we just ended up investing in this sooner rather than later. Now, 5 weeks after purchase, the vehicle is at the dealer. This vehicle has major issues! Repair is a 3-step process. If a repair doesn't fix the problem, then we move to another more expensive repair. 1. $4000 repair to replace the wiring harness has to be replaced. 2. Check the status of the power transfer converter, if that is also bad that will be an additional $6,000. 3. If that repair doesn't fix the issue, then the engine will need to be replaced. I can't bear to ask how much that could cost. I returned to the dealer to complain. The salesman told me that I should've had the vehicle checked within the 5 day 300 mile return window. Per the dealership, this issue can't be found on an inspection. The only way to identify this issue is if the problem is actively happening. I spent over $17K on a car that now has a MINIMUM of a $4K REPAIR but cost be MORE THAN $10K to FIX. I'm absolutely disgusted and feel completely taken advantage of! Will not be returning & will steer others away from Driver's Mart. It's not worth it. read more

After 3 weeks of online research and visiting a few different dealerships I became frustrated with the hard sales pitch, the bait and switch, and the last minute add ons to the "out the door" price of the vehicle. So...we were coming from out of state to purchase a vehicle. Fabio was our salesperson. I will say he was great with communication and answering all questions in a timely manner. He was there early on the day we flew in to pick up the vehicle. We looked at the vehicle, it wasn't really clean, Fabio said they do not clean or detail their vehicles, they more focus on the mechanics and safety, that is how they keep their prices down. We were ok with that. The vehicle only had one key, so he even gave us the number of a local auto lock person who came within 45 minutes (Todd from Precision Auto Lock 407-978-KEYS, call him, he's great!!!). When it came to the payment portion, Drivers Mart did not accept payment from our credit union (we were pre-approved). They said they do not accept out of state payments (our credit union has local Florida branches)? They did say they would accept a wire transfer, but we would have to come back in a day or two, again we are from out of state with limited time. They kept pushing their financing which was approximately 3% higher. I called the credit union while in the dealership, they said just finance with them so you can get the vehicle and get out of there, we can switch everything when you get home, (they had also spoken to the dealership and were frustrated with their policy). Ok, now we have all that settled. We take the vehicle, return our rental car, and start to head out. We get on the freeway, and the vehicle starts to really vibrate! Yes, we did test drive the vehicle, but only went on the regular and side streets that they had us follow so we never went over 40mph. The vehicle was vibrating so badly we pulled over at a tire repair shop to have them check out the vehicle and suspension (we have a 1800 mile drive home and we have only made it 73 miles at this point. The tire shop was really busy so we had to wait a few hours, but they didn't want us to drive any further because at visual inspection, one tire had a split, one tire had holes in it and 3 of the four tires were all different manufacturers. When they were finally able to get us in, they pulled all the tires off and called us back to look at them. In addition to the two tires we knew were bad, another one had a split. They assured us the suspension was ok, but we should not drive any further, especially not all the way home. My husband examined all the tires and confirmed what they were saying was true. I text Dealers Mart while this is happening, Fabio says to call when we know for sure what the issue is because at this point, we are ready to bring the car back. Before any work was performed, I called Fabio back at Dealers Mart and let him know 3 of the 4 tires are bad and have to be replaced. He tells me his supervisor says they have their cars inspected and that's that, we can bring the vehicle back if we would like. Really? First, we wanted the vehicle, that's why we bought a plane ticket, rented a car and paid for an extra key ($262.15). Second, what are you going to do, sell the car to someone else and put them in danger? Sad!! So, we ended up getting a whole set of new tires ($1082.72), so we can make it home safely. When all was said and done, the person who actually changed our tires, not the salesperson, came out and said he was happy we came in, he said he would have been terrified for us if we had kept driving on those tires. In the end, it was not the best car buying experience. We have purchased many vehicles in our lifetime and from out of state as well, never any issues such as we had here. What really upsets me is the lack of regards for people's safety and not taking any responsibility. I went to Driver's Mart knowing what I wanted. I had researched cars, costs, everything. I looked at, test drove, and selected a 2015 Kia Optima. The sticker window advertised a $10,999 price. We went inside to start working on the paper work. The salesman pulls up the Carfax. Turns out, they mistagged the car. It's a 2016 Kia Optima, so the price is $11,999. I was pretty annoyed, they refused to honor the price advertised (even though they made the mistake) and offered me a different Kia that was actually a 2015, but smelled like smoke and was in much worse shape. I decided to bite the bullet and stick with the 2016 I previously chose. Moving onto financing. I'm putting a 50% down payment on the car. I have a credit score in the 730-750 range. Again, I've researched the rates I should expect. They offered me 7.1% over 72 months. I looked at the FICO score they pulled and it was 30 points below what mine is. I showed them my FICO score on my phone. The financing lady started to get an attitude with me at this point. I told her I wanted to finance for no more than 48 months, and that I was not paying 7.1% interest. This is when everyone, including the manager, became very hostile. They came back with a 4.9% interest. I told them I wasn't going over 4% or else I'd walk. They finally came back with 3.9%. Fair enough. We knock out the paper work, I've been here for 3.5 hours (not horrible) and I finally get to take my new baby home. I take it home, wash it off (the car was filthy) and find so many scratches and paint flecks missing that were hidden under the pollen. I also realize they only gave me 1 floor mat, no spare key, and no drivers manual. I call them up and they say how they get them is how they sell them. There's nothing they can do. Whatever. I'm glad to be finished with this experience, I would not go back for another car ever. IF YOU DECIDE TO BUY FROM THEM ANYWAY MAKE SURE THAT YOU: - Check the VIN to make sure they priced the car correctly - Ask to have the car hosed off to make sure there's no major scratches - Be prepared to call them on their BS (and be treated poorly in return) - Check to make sure you get what you want from them (i.e. spare key, floor mats, etc) The only reason they got 2 stars instead of 1 is because my car is wonderful, and they gave me a full tank of gas. read more

Wow - talk about the opposite of what their competition does. That was red flag #1 of many. Bought a used car here that our salesman Thomas gave us the carfax on showing it was a 2 owner vehicle. I do not expect vehicular perfection as it is used and has 73k miles but the car us clean and rides nice. As for buying experience, it was great. As a cash buyer I spent under 2 hours total at the location over 2 days. 1 hour to test drive start the paperwork and another to give the payment and drive away with tag and title filed by the dealer. The car buying experience was straightforward and we had no problems. But the challenges began when we had to transfer our tag to our state. The incompetence and outright lack of customer service was inexcusable. It was a multi-month process to get what we needed from them, half of that time involved driving around with an expired temporary tag. Months later, we are now trying to deal with a new issue regarding them not submitting the title application for our loan and three phone calls later with no one returning our calls, we've yet to speak to the proper person about it. Unless you have an abundant amount of patience for incompetency, I'd recommend steering clear of this place. read more

Found a car I've been trying to buy from other dealers. I've been wanting this car for a very long time and finally could make it happen. After everybody jerked me around at other dealerships and wasted my time and gas, I was weary. But I saw the car on DriversMart's website and decided to go ahead and check it out. The picture wasn't even posted of the car yet but I left a message with someone on their site and the next day Aaron Love reached out to me and told me they haven't received the car yet but are getting it that day and offered to send me a video. When it arrived he sent me a personalized video to show me the car. After being rejected by another dealer earlier that day I was ready to give up. I told him my terms I wanted and the cash I had to put down and he said he could make it work. About an hour or so later I got a phone call and asked how much I was putting down and he gave me the estimated monthly payments. I told him hold the car I'm coming. When I got there Kamal Amane was very friendly and showed me the car, we drove it. The entire process was very welcoming and friendly and surprisingly quick. I was only there for about maybe 2 hours total. Going into the finance office Samantha Pritchett was very fun to work with. We had some jokes... a very laid back atmosphere and felt very well taken care of and everything was explained. The contracts were easy to understand and she elaborated on things I wasn't to familiar with or had more questions about. Overall, I'm a huge fan and will send ANYBODY looking for a car their way. My grandmother is looking to get a new car soon and I've already started looking around for her and showing her some cars she may like. Thank you so much to everybody at Driver's Mart. I had been searching for my dream car for 3 months, been through multiple dealerships and had dealt with several salesmen making the whole car shopping experience miserable. Driver's Mart kept popping up on my radar but I was hesitant to visit due to the bad reviews here. I am so glad I gave them a chance finally! Shopping there was like breathing fresh air in. I knew exactly what car I wanted to see. They didn't even had a chance to post pictures of the car on their website yet, it was a new addition to the lot. We arrived around 6:30 pm on a Friday,  walked on the lot looking for the car and when we found it we went inside where we were greeted by Derek. He grabbed the key and let us take a good look at the car. I knew it was a rental before - Autocheck is available on their website - but that didn't bother me as the car was only a year old with active manufacturer warranty and in excellent interior and exterior condition. (Only minor scratches) We took the car for a test drive, it was running smoothly. Derek showed us the different features of the car without being pushy. He was accommodating and knowledgeable. I was already approved by my bank and this was not an issue at all as opposed to other dealerships where they wanted to charge us for not financing with them. The price was exactly what they posted (no haggle price) + dealership fee + tax, tag, title, electronic filing. They do offer a maintenance package but we opted out. Sam at finance explained everything regards to the paperwork. They accept credit or debit cards!!!! That was such a relief since we payed the car right out and didn't have to get a cashier's check which would have delayed the process, or worse somebody else could have gotten the car in the meantime. The entire process was no longer than 2 hours and the reason it took 2 hours is  because we asked a LOT of questions and all of questions were answered patiently. Even though they close at 8 pm and we finished around 8:30 pm they didn't make us feel rushed or pushed out of the door. Derek went above and beyond to meet all our needs. I did take my car for an inspection right after the purchase as they do not inspect the cars prior to sale. The mechanic found only minor issues (air filter needed to be changed, wheel alignment needed to be done, wiper blades replaced) which I also expected knowing I was purchasing a used car. It gave me a piece of mind that if something was seriously wrong with the vehicle I could bring it back within 5 days and get my money back. He explained to us how a vehicle is purchased at Driver's Mart, "no haggle pricing", what the dealer's fee would be, estimating the added cost of registration, tag and taxes, and went on multiple test drives. I went in not expecting to make any purchase. We were in the parking lot for about 30 minutes without any salesman approaching. However that was a bonus in my opinion. I hate car salesman that follow you around the parking lot like vultures . Finally one walked past us then quickly turned around introduced himself as Dennis and told us if we needed any help come find him. He quickly left us alone to continue our search. When we found one that we wanted to look at the process was awesome and he went above and beyond to make sure that he can help us in anyway. We had several hurdles that we had to go over and he was right there with a solution. They are not paid commission like the typical car lot. So there is no pressure because if you don't buy a car the other 10 people behind you will. The other person that we dealt directly with with Samantha in finance. She was hilarious professional all-around amazing. This all coming from someone who thinks car dealers are on the same level as pond scum. So when I tell you that they do an amazing job I mean it. I can't speak with others in the branch. But they all seem to be very professional and courteous.We had just left Winter Park location with not so much luck. They didn't seem to be on top of their game. We felt much better dealing with the Sanford branch. I know this is kind of long. But I think others would benefit from reading it. With that being said the prices are clearly marked on the windows and they are upfront with all their prices. I do think that $800 for the document processing fees as they call it is completely ridiculous and let's just call it what it is, and that is profit for them. However I guess you would probably pay a lot of fees from any dealership. Dennis and Samantha completely changed the car buying process for me.
