Also told them of the wall outlet that doesn't work and the person I talked to said he would look at it while he was here. Well, another worker showed up, didn't know anything about the outlet and it took 4 hours to replace the tile. I didn't check the tile until after the worker left as they had been often I figured they could at least get the color right. I cannot express enough how difficult it has been to work with thia company and would not recommend them to anyone.

Our roof was done sloppily with collateral damage to the dormers that caused a leak. They claim that there is nothing wrong with the roof itself and therefore they do not have responsibility for the leak, and because the leak only occurs with heavy storms with wind, the leak cannot be caused by the roof. However, this leak did not exist prior to their work on the roof. Basically stay away, they are not to be trusted to stand by their work.

He came out as requested and gave fair estimates for both drywall work, replacement stairs, and ceiling work. He even came out a second time to give an estimate for some replacement siding. The drywall crew consisted of two guys who spent a few days working on a small section in the basement, they made sure to make things look their best and did a decent job cleaning up each night. They were polite and always listening to my feedback. 5 stars there. The siding guy came out and replacement some cedar shakes on the side of the house that were missing from an old deck removal. He did a great job and cleaned up the worksite very nice. I was impressed with the speed. Again 5 stars. Jim himself came out for the ceiling work, he did a great job hooking up the electric and making sure the panels lined up to the existing grid. Again 5 stars. My only gripe was the billing, Their online system worked, but I think some deposits I made were just lost. Regardless they eventually took care of it... so updating my review to reflect this. Thank you, I for sure recommend them for contracting work, just double check the bills before paying. =)

Turns out - no repair was needed, just some water coming in through a vent due to some heavy, heavy rain. He said they looked like they were "wrapped by my 4 year old grandkid." There was a leak on my porch roof twice during and right after construction and was told to move the A/C out of that window. They had me work with a door installer who told me box store doors were cheap and he doesn't install them but when it came time to install the door they gave me a cheap one from Menards that wouldn't lock. The person who installed it told me to go buy a new spring and lock for it. They left the siding around the door cut unevenly and unpainted and said they would come back for that and to install a new lock. I gave up on arguing over the cheap door. They never came back. They left garbage on my lawn twice and killed a bunch of my plants that never grew back. I got one B.S. line after another. They did fix some things after I pushed but didn't follow through on the rest. Really disappointed.

Before contacting Tradition, I received an estimate from one of "those" kind of roofing companies - You know the type, the ones that come by and leave a business card if your door and when you ask them to check out your roof they, of course, say you need and entirely new roof. When Scott Landa (who, in the interest of full disclosure, is the husband of a former coworker) came out to take a look at my roof he had an entirely different, and thankfully less expensive, opinion. After a quick repair, Scott was able to fix the area of my roof that I was concerned about. As he was leaving, I asked if I needed a new roof. Scott's answer was no. I not only appreciated Scott's professionalism, but also his honesty. I'm sure he would have loved to put an entirely new roof on my home, but it wasn't needed and he was able to accurately assess the situation and didn't rip me off. When the time comes that I do need a new roof, I'll be giving Tradition Roofing and Exteriors a call.
