Incredibly insolent woman at the face of this business. I went in today for AC work & explained I knew I had freeon, so needed diagnostics on the condenser, compressor, relay. The woman insisted I needed freeon & gave me a quote for it & diagnostics ($190). When I explained I didn't need freeon, she became annoyed with me & suggested I go elsewhere; I'm happy I did. Wayne and Dave's are frauds. I would never take my vehicle there. They will partially fix the issue you came with and reset your check engine codes by detaching your positive cable. And they will also do other things that will have you coming back to them soon, like poking a small hole in your radiator hoses. Pleeeeeease BEWARE. Stay Away From Here! They ran diagnostic and were trying to prioritize things that didn't need fixing. I came for one thing and was told many other things that needed to get done. They gave me a price of $973 for "basic" services. Then another employee told me $345 and the original guy I first spoke with said he was wrong and that he didn't include labor and taxes when in fact I asked him clearly if it included that and he did. The original guy I spoke to said it was going to come out to $740+ I instantly knew he was lying and was changing prices, the actual mechanic gave me a fair price but the main original guy kept changing it. Recently, I took my 2019 car here for an inspection. I commute to Santa Monica, so it has around 60k miles. I was totally expecting them to recommend a tuneup, brakes etc. But to my surprise, when they finished the inspection, they told me that nothing needed to be done yet, everything looked good, and to come back when it hits 100k. Since I was already expecting them to do something I asked numerous times if they are sure there absolutely nothing that can be done right now? They said "Not right now, it looks great." (How many times do you go to a shop that refuses to take your money?) And the icing on the cake was when I picked it up. I owed nothing! :) The inspection is free of charge. Wow! Stay away - the employees at Wayne & Dave's lie and steal. I took my older car in for an inspection. It was diagnosed with all sorts of costly older-car problems, which I anticipated. The person at the desk who reviewed the findings of the inspection attempted to push very expensive repairs that I did not want, could not afford and did not feel were imminently required for the way I use my car. He also told me I needed new rear shocks which I'd already had replaced last year (heavy duty ones at that). He quoted me ~$960 on the primary repair I wanted done (lower control arms and ball joints). The problem was so bad that my tires had become unevenly worn, so that was the repair I wanted done first. Instead, he tried to prioritize other repairs as if my vehicle belonged to him. I could see if the repair I wanted done was somehow dependent on additional repairs he recommended (like fixing a very slow rear main seal leak), but it wasn't. Nor was it less important than anything else (less expensive, yes, but not less important). He was aggressive, used extremely high pressure and refused to listen to which repairs I wanted done and the order I wanted them done in. He also complained that he wouldn't be able to perform a proper alignment without replacing the upper control arms as well (which was untrue). Finally I just told him that I wasn't going to argue about how I was going to spend my money and demanded him to hand over my key. If all this weren't aggravating enough, someone in the garage rummaged through my car and stole several items. It wasn't even there overnight. Ultimately I took my vehicle over to T&M Automotive which is a half-mile away. They had the repairs done in one day for $140 less than what Wayne and Dave's quoted - alignment, tire rotation and all. I just can't believe how badly I was treated at Wayne & Dave's, lied to and stolen from. I'm so upset. Please do not have your vehicle serviced here. read more

Took my Explorer here on the recommendation of my parents, who have been going her for years. They said they were fair and good. Not so sure about either. My experience was that I brought my SUV in here with 3 issues and after $2400 i WITHOUT a single one of them fixed. There was a rattle that happens EVER time I accelerate at low speed. I can recreate the noise all day but apparently they couldn't... It had a check engine light on. After $440 in diagnostics (I thought most mechanics waved these if you used them but I guess not) and another $2000 to replace a bunch of stuff, it is still on. my third issue was that there was a delay when it started and guess what... It still does. If you actually want your car fixed, maybe you should keep looking. I know I will not be going back here (and probably not my parents either). read more

My 2000 Camaro was well maintained and I have receipts to prove it. It didn't have any major problems and ran great. At about 120,000 miles it intermittently (3 or 4 times) cut-off upon entering/exiting driveways over the course of 2 months. Yet, it would start back up immediately and did not cut off while I was driving. However, the last time it cut-off the check engine light came on. A co-worker told me she used Wayne & Dave's Automotive for some of our clients, which is why I took my car there. I described my car's problems to Tina, when the shop opened. She recommended a full diagnosis of my car. I agreed and left it there. I called the shop around 12 pm because no one called me. Again, I spoke with Tina and asked if they diagnosed my car yet. She said yes, but the repair bill needed to be written and they'd call me back. Later, Tina left me a detailed voice message stating, "If we did everything that needs to be done, its $915...That's all four O2 Sensors, Top End cleaning, clean Mass Airflow Sensor, and the diagnosis time. So, give me a call back & let me know what you want to do, 661-949-2924. It's about 1:30 pm, thanks." I called the shop and spoke with Chris (Manager). I asked how they diagnosed my car and if there was a warranty for the repairs. Chris said they visually inspected, test drove, and used a machine to diagnose it. He said it would take 2-days for the repairs and I'd have a 2-year/24,000-mile warranty covering all parts and labor if I agreed to have all their recommended repairs done. I agreed to all the repairs. I picked up my car a couple days later during my lunch break and paid $993.90. I drove about 1/2 a mile to the gas station from their shop. My car smelled like something was burning and it cut off upon entering the gas station driveway. I opened the hood of the car but did not see smoke or fire. Several times, my car hesitated, cut off, then started up as I entered and exited the gas station. I called the shop and spoke with Tina again. I informed her of how poorly my car was running. She asked me to bring the car back in 2 days due to them being "backlogged". I did. Again, I spoke with Tina and also pointed out that the invoice showed a 1-yr/12,000-mile warranty but Chris told me I'd have a 2-yr/24,000 warranty. Tina informed Chris about the discrepancy in the warranty in my presence. Chris laughed, said "diagnoses are not warranted". He then stated "It's going to cost you to repair whatever's wrong with it". I suggested that he looked at the car before trying to charge me more fees and left my car. Later, Chris called me and tried to charge another $379 to replace the Master Airflow Sensor. I pointed out that part was supposed to have been taken care of. I suggested he check the invoice and told him about Tina's original voice message, which included the Master Airflow Sensor. Chris said he would check the invoice and call me back. Chris didn't call me back. Instead, he called my co-worker, whom I later found out was his friend. My co-worker told me I could pick up my car and Chris stated it had been repaired without the additional $379, as a courtesy to the place where I work. I mentioned to my co-worker that it was unprofessional for Chris to call her instead of me. I said I'm not her client and our job did not pay nearly $1,000 for the repairs...I did. When I picked up my car, Chris used a black marker to color over and voided the warranty in front of me. I asked him why he did that. He said because 2nd repair was unrelated to the 1st repair. I pointed out the Master Airflow Sensor listed on the original invoice, referred to Tina's voicemail, which also talked about the Master Airflow Sensor, and mentioned that his shop supposedly ran a comprehensive full diagnosis. I asked Chris several times if he was going to honor his warranty. He didn't respond to my question but told me to leave because the shop was now closed. I left. I drove my car about 3 days. Then, parked it because it was still running poorly, smelling like something was burning, and cut off more than it did when I originally brought it to Wayne & Dave's Automotive. I attempted to have my car smogged shortly thereafter but it didn't pass. It never failed smog before Wayne and Dave's so-called repair. I eventually had to sell my car at below market price because those problems didn't go away and I informed the buyer of the problems. My job checked with our clients that utilized Wayne & Dave's shop for their vehicle repairs, which my job previously paid for. Our clients were still in need of repairs for their cars, which were supposed to have already been fixed by Wayne & Dave's. My job no longer uses Wayne & Dave's Automotive to repair our customers' vehicles. read more

I took my car in to get the brakes serviced and also have a diagnostic done as my check engine light was on. I was called within 1hr stating the total fixes would cost over 1300$. I was completely shocked as the cost just to fix the front brakes was 610$ plus an additional 140$ for labor alone. I could not believe they were quoting me 750$ for JUST THE BRAKES on a 7yr old car. When I questioned the total they were suddenly able to find some of the parts cheaper bringing the total brake service to 530$. I came here under the impression this was a reputable and honest place to get car service, I was clearly wrong. I chose to take my car with no service completed at Wayne and Dave's and took it too another shop that was honest and fair; I paid 300$ for my brakes in the end. read more

My 2003 Chevy Tahoe wouldn't start up after I parked it at their shop, so it was looking like it was gonna be pricier than I had anticipated. I originally went to take my sisters car for an oil change back in July of this year. I was so impressed by Chris, and just how friendly everyone was. They all helped make the process for an oil change very smooth. I left there shocked that they gave my sisters car a car wash and just how great the service was. Flash forward to today. I went in for an oil change for my car today I was worked with Tony the GM and again the staff is super friendly! Tony helped make my service quick since I had to be at work by 8:45 AM, mind you I got there at 7:40 AM. Each oil change comes with a car wash. Sadly since I was tight on time they let me know they'll owe me a wash and said if I wanted to come back on my lunch or another day I was more then welcome. I left Wayne & Daves at 8:25 AM. They were so fast and friendly. I even was able to speak with Chris whom answered some of my questions AGAIN SO FRIENDLY! Then as I signed my paperwork knowing they only do exterior car washes, which I didn't have time for I asked if there was a way they could just clean my inside windshield for me. And with no problem they cleaned both inside and outside! My favorite part of Wayne and Dave's is the friendliness of the staff, the caring techs and overall the cost. Thank Almighty for honesty and integrity! If you ever get the opportunity to utilize an ASE certified repair shop, this place is number 1 in my book. I just wrote this Yelp for Audi Valencia... This will be one of the first Negative reviews I have ever given. I picked up an Audi A6 premium last year from Carmax. Amazing vehicle! I made the choice to drive down to this dealership to have service completed for a Lube, oil and filter. I can not express how disappointed I am with the dishonesty of the service inspection at this business! This basic service cost over $250 dollars. The disappointment came when I was informed that the rear brake pads and rotors needed immediate replacement. The report came back with a brake pad thickness of 5mil to a tune of $900 plus for repairs. Luckily I chose to hold off... I went to a local Lancaster ASE certified repair shop Wayne and Dave's that is an authorized repair shop for Carmax. Audi Valencia should reimburse me the $55 charge for this ethical and transparent auto repair business evaluation that informed me the actual brake pad thickness was 8mil with ABSOLUTELY NO NEED FOR REPLACEMENT OF PADS OR ROTORS!!! An absolutely pathetic example of how dealership repair shops are just as shady and dishonest as everyone fears!!! As for Wayne and Dave's... close to home, honest, and super quick when you make an appointment. What an absolute relief to know I've finally located a shop with transparency and integrity! read more

I found these guys several years ago when they repaired squirrel damage to my Monte Carlo. They won all of my business when I contracted them to rebuild the rear end on my truck. I told them to do the rear brakes while they had it apart and they said they didn't want to because I I didn't need them. I went to see for myself and they were correct, most of the brake shoes was still there. The technician showed me the actual problem was a stuck adjuster. He pulled them off and fixed them, saving me the $200 I would have paid for a complete brake job. I tell everyone, they may not be the cheapest but they are honest and will give you options based on your budget. I am a mechanic but I trust them with all of my vehicles. read more

If I could I would give them zero stars ,I left my car with a full fender no dents or scratches on the driver side and got it back like this the guys in the office said they had nothing to do with it and don't know what happen on top of that they left all the dash disassembled and left all the wires out as if they were working on it still they didn't bother showing me what they did to the car or what I PAID for I came in to fix the wiring issue that wouldn't ket me start the car so when I got there I thought they would show me that they fixed it like they said they did but they didn't just took my money n said my car was in the back so when I brought up that it was hit they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about And one of them stated that the fender cracked like that from the cold weather . Had brake work done at this location twice. The first time I had my brakes done they began to squeak after a month or so. I end up taking my car back to solve the issue and they "fixed" the brakes again. Once again a month later the brakes are squealing and grinding. Had to finally take my car to the dealer today to get the issue dealt with as the brakes only lasted about a month before it started squeaking/grinding again. Found out the parts are subpar and not installed correctly. I would definitely not recommend this place. Spend the extra money to get it done at a dealer as I found out this place was only $80 cheaper anyway. read more

Our appointment was for 8am, after trying to find a place to park we got into their "lobby" at 8:05, to be told that they gave our appointment to someone else because we were not there, and that they would try to fit us in. They than took 50 plus minutes to do a 15 minute oil change, and then made us wait an addition 10 minutes to have our keys returned to us. The tech who did the oil change was great, however Tony and Chris behind the counter were rude from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Unfortunately I already paid for the groupon special of 3 oil changes, otherwise I would not return. I may not return at all and just cut my losses. I had better service at east side car wash last Sunday when we took our Mazda in for oil change and a car wash, that only took 45 minutes, and the people were friendly! read more

I have been going to Wayne and Dave's for so many years, felt I could trust them and get a good price on repairs.UNTIL it was sold to the new owners. #1. the sign it was going down hill is when I dropped my car for a repair the lady that sits behind a very large computer screen did not even acknowledge I was standing there, after several minutes I asked her if she could help me, looking very unhappy that I bothered her she asked what I wanted, "WELL" !!! "The thought that was going through my mind was"!! I want to give you money for working on my car . This was the same attitude I got on my next visits #2. I brought my sisters Jeep in for a tune up, she recently moved to Idaho to start a new life after losing her husband after 23 years of marriage. She flew up and we planned on driving her car to her. There is a problem with this well thought out plan..... I received a call her car was stolen , the mechanic left the keys in it on Friday,  I was not notified  until the falling Tuesday.This lil problem happened over 2 months ago meanwhile my sister purchased a new car. found out last week the car was found. # 3 and on my last nerve I went in today to inquire about the whereabouts of her car. The lil sweetheart that sits behind the very large computer desk waved her hand and said for me to call the impound yard, again not getting up from her very important job and rude as ever. I asked where was Chris Brewer who I dealt with and trusted for so many years was no longer there. Wayne and Dave's used to be the best in town. I took my truck there almost 3 months ago with a check Engine light on. In less than an hour they called me and told me they could fix the problem it needed a valve job. I agreed to it. After three weeks I picked up my truck and paid them almost $3300. 4 1/2 miles later the check engine lite came back on. They honored it told me to bring my truck back. Here it is three months later and my truck is still not fixed I have heard every excuse in the book. I call there they tell me they're working on my truck so I drive-by and nobody's working on my truck. I did this several times. And every time I call they say they're working on my truck. So I drive-by and nobody working on my truck. I called them one day and they said they were removing the intake manifold to check it out. I give them a week I call back and they tell me they're in the process of putting the manifold back on. Come on a week to put on a manifold. So now since I took my truck there Thanksgiving his pasted Christmas has passed new years has passed and we have a new president but I still don't have my truck. I would never ever recommend wayne and Dave's again in my life and I have recommend them hundreds of times in the past 20 years.I have lived in the antelope valley all my life and wayne and Dave's was always the best place to go.
