I recently purchased a camper for traveling. I was looking around Facebook market place and everything I found was not worth the price or very damaged. So I found this place on Yelp, looked at the reviews and said I'll give it a try. I did the text option online, got Jeff. I gave him some options from their site I was interested in. He took down my needs and found me one that I fell in love with. It brand new, with solar panels, and the perfect size for my needs. From start to finish they showed they really cared they walked me through everything! They offered if I had any questions after purchase day I can call and ask. Which I've had to do, but nothing major, human error on my end. Doug who helped me setup and walked me through the whole rig was amazing he was patient with me and made sure I understood everything. My wife and I went in to look at trailers a couple months ago and received the weirdest service here. We originally responded to a trailer one of their salesman had posted to FB Marketplace and when we went in were told they had none at that price point. (The post was still up, so I'm suspicious that they try to lure people in with trailer tour posts of inventory they have already sold) There seemed to only be one employee on the whole lot and he was very rude. It felt like we had to do all the work for him and he wasn't trying to sell us anything. He showed us one single trailer that fit most closely to the description of what we thought we wanted. Being first time buyers we had a general idea but weren't really sure what all the options were. After showing us the one single option he said we could afford, he tried to rush us into financing and I had to pump the brakes due to my wife not loving the option. He had the audacity to ask if it was too expensive for us with an irritating little smirk. Anyway, we went right next door to Michael Hohl where we were immediately given tours of multiple trailer models. Having a good salesman made all the difference: we ended up buying something bigger, nicer, and almost twice the budget we walked in with due to their help in financing. Our recent experience, we had a chat with owner Beau, of course he has back pedaled on what he said years prior. We called back 2 days later, person put us on hold, employee returned to say Beau was on another call, honestly we felt this was untrue, we gave are phone # ..... 8 days later still no return phone call from owner Beau! Surprised, nope! What is disappointing, lack of follow through from owner, lack of courtesy, lack of professionalism! Went in yesterday and talked to Lee (salesman), he said we had room to get a lower payment and then overnight he said no lower payment and then lied when he said he didn't say such a thing. Typical scumbag loser salesman fits the profile of liars. Oh btw the difference was $10 less a month, can you believe how tight Carson RV is. He blames management for the payments. We bought our camper 7 years ago this month. I'm sure you're wondering what could have possibly led me here after 7 years!? Well, TODAY my bank informed me that this loan was submitted by CARSON RV as a balloon loan. Me having no clue what that meant, asked huh? They explain that with a balloon loan after X amount of years you either have to pay the rest of your loan off in full or refinance. THIS IS NEWS TO ME! When we bought this travel trailer Justin Young told us that rv loans are usually for a long period so more people can afford them, and that with the loan we got the first 7 years payments go mostly towards interest and then after that your payments start going more towards the principal to pay down the balance. AT NO POINT IN TIME WAS IT EVER MENTIONED THAT AT SOME POINT WE WOULD HAVE TO REFINANCE OR PAY OFF THE LOAN!!!! I would have walked right on out of there if that had ever been mentioned. I feel like shady business was done in order for them to make a sale and it makes me SICK! I then called them today and apparently spoke to "Bob" was a total jerk. Kept talking over me, asked huh"what do you want me to do about it" I said apologizing for slime-y business practices would be a start! But he just kept raising his voice and telling me I was being a jerk!? I never raised my voice, I simply expressed my frustrations at how I felt swindled! Apparently they don't do balloon loans anymore but if you go here to buy a camper of any sort, ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS. Don't be fooled like we were. I have had my fifth wheel for two weeks. Water heater leaked water everywhere as soon as it was filled! Day two all the lights go out . And now the refrigerator does not work! Not to mention all the shotty work the repair guys do! They glue everything together and hide everything ! as soon as I got home everything was falling apart. And they don't care. Went to them to get a newer camper, they were really nice and told us they could get us a loan and to show up on the 26th to get the camper. Once the 26th rolled around we drove up in a blizzard 3 hours only to find out they needed a co signer. Never called us to tell us this, we found out that day. They jerk you around and ended up being unprofessional. Never buy from Maurice. Blamed it on me because "i should have seen my down payment go back into my bank" instead of calling. Great salesman Maurice, he was fantastic. HOWEVER, Ian the finance manager is an absolute liar and directly lied to me regarding getting the registration for my trailer completed. He, in order to close a sale, promised me that he would have it taken care of with their "registration lady" for a fee of $50. You have 30 days to register and I felt secure they would do this for me, as they promised. As it got closer to the 30 day limit, I got worried and started calling. They promised me they would take care of it and apologized. Well 30 days came and went and when I called, Ian was incredibly rude and dismissive ... he kept talking over and down to me - even pulling a 180 and stating it's not our responsibility to do anything with registrations and acting like I made the whole thing up. Then when I spoke with the front desk Jeff, he told me I should go to the dmv and register it myself.l(exactly what I was willing to pay $50to avoid ) They will lie to you about anything to get a sale VERY shady business practices I do not recommend spending your money here as you will be lied to in order for they to pocket $30,000 read more

My parents at 85 purchased a what we were told Brand New in 2019 Trailer..just before the covid shut down! on the day of delivery we had problem! you can read prior yelps! our trailer has been a lemon since the day we brought it home! anything and just about everything has been replaced through Forest River due to Carson RV not willing to accommodate us! long story short this RV was brought back to the factory twice! we have not used it in 2 years as my Dad was ill so we don't even know if the repairs will work! Forest River informed us this was NOT a brand new Trailer! it was pre owned and never registered probably due to all the leaks and problems! now I contacted CRV soon after purchase to question weather or not it was actually a new RV because some things did not look new, as well as all the serial numbers were hand written in the pamphlet in pencil! now if you have ever owned an RV you know how many that is! they became very defensive and told me they always hand write them in for the buyers...that is hard to believe ! so we go to the bank after my Dad passed to update the paperwork, only to find we have a 7 year loan with a $29k Balloon payment! now I sat next to my Mother throughout the process of singing documents and it was NEVER brought up about a ballon payment! she nor I would NEVER have agreed to these terms! however they kept calling me out of the room, to show me things diverting me from helping my Mom! My Mom is still in control of her finances and would never agreed to this! so not only the sales people are liers and cons, so was the finance dept! now we are searching for an attorney that will take on an "Elder Abuse" Lawsuit! this clearly was an 85 year old woman being taken advantage of. JUST BEWARE AND BE CARFUL! they are the most deceitful company I have ever seen! CROOKS! When I came to pick up my class c rv, it would not start. They said it was fine a few days ago, but now it was up to me to tow it to Mercedes of Reno and get it fixed. No apologies,no compensation. We spend a lot of time on the road due to my husbands job, I work from home, we have a dog, and we just found out we were about to get priced out of the extended stay apartment we've been at since last summer. No one wanted to go back to being apart during the week, so we decided it was time to get a travel trailer. Extensive online searching got us nowhere; every floorplan we looked at had flaws, so we decided we needed something we could customize. We drove to Carson City RV from the Bay Area, simply because we thought we needed a toy hauler and they had the most in stock. We left a few short hours after arriving with the paperwork for a Puma travel trailer. Our perfect unicorn travel trailer, with the perfect floorplan. It's like it was made just for us! We have to heap tons of praise on Justin for listening to what we needed (and figuring out what we didn't know we needed) at the beginning of the visit. He told us "I want to show you a travel trailer that I think is going to work out better for you, then I'll show you some toy haulers in your towing range." And you know what? That travel trailer was PERFECT! We looked at some toy haulers after, but we couldn't stop thinking about the Puma. And the price! We thought our budget was going to put us in the basic category, but we ended up with a much larger, much nicer, sweet** trailer than we ever dreamed we could have! One week later we came back to pick up our new traveling home. Carson City RV fills your tanks, gets your battery situation handled, and does a free orientation with your trailer (which was very helpful). Extra props to Ian in the Financing department, we probably had too much fun chatting with him while we signed all of the final paperwork. I received a recall notice for the suspension on my Vilano 5th Wheel. There are no dealers in this region and after calling 5 or 6 dealers, I contacted Carson RV to see if they could do the repairs. After a discussion with Brandon in the service department, he contacted the manufacturer and agreed to do the repairs. I am extremely pleased with the service I received and the quality of the work. I spoke with the service technician and he provided a detailed explanation of the inspection and repair process. I highly recommend this shop and the outstanding service provided. When a company will help out a customer without being solely focused on selling something, this is a company you want to do business with. I will absolutely do business with them again. We received exceptional customer service at Carson City RV! My husband and I were in search of a new RV after our insurance totaled ours in an accident. I was not excited about looking for a new RV because we were happy with our (now wrecked) trailer and honestly, the experience we had 3 years ago while finding our now wrecked trailer was just awful. 3 years ago - It took us several trips all over Reno and visit after visit with big city RV sales men, who treated me like I didn't exist, to painfully find our last trailer...an experience that made me cringe and wonder how Reno RV dealers stay in business with their awful customer service. Fast forward to this experience...as soon as the insurance company advised us the trailer could not be repaired, I began to stress about the prospect of another awful experience looming. I told my husband it was up to him, cause I dreaded it. I even suggested we wait a year and travel to a different state to get a new one! My hubs couldn't wait...he found some features he wanted and found Carson City RV had a matching RV. Between Paul and Warren, they took actual pictures (the same morning of the inquiry) of the trailer they had on their lot and of everything my husband had additional questions about. I found myself accompanying my hubby that same night to check it out. The entire staff was friendly and kind. We looked at the trailer and another caught my eye - Warren walked us through at least 5 different trailers and highlighted all the awesome features of each, never once acting annoyed or like we were wasting his time (what I experienced at several Reno lots). We were sold at the end of the night and planned to pick it up our new trailer later in the week. Of course, there were some extras we requested (parts and such) and would need to plan those out when the stuff came in. When it was time to pick up the trailer, we made arrangements for all the extras and placed all of the appropriate orders and had a very pleasant visit with the finance team and with the parts and service department (again - not the same awful experience we received with our previously purchased RV in Reno). Once the extras arrived, we set up a time to bring the trailer back to have them all installed. We let them know we needed the trailer back in a very specific time frame - not only did they meet that expectation, they exceeded it! Everything we've gone through and everything we've experienced at Carson City RV has been nothing short of exceptional! I bought a 2019 Fifth Wheel Trailer in February 2020. When I first brought it home there was a leak in the shower water line. The cause was the water fixture screw was screwed right into the water line from factory. I took care of it myself. Now I have a leak from the shower drain and contacted Carson City RV and could not tell me if it was under warranty. The belly insulation fell out due to water collecting from the leak. I spoke with Kathy and she said she would have Ian call me to discuss and that was last week. To this day, no response. It seems as this establishment does not stand behind what they sell. Kathy told me I could take my trailer for warranty anywhere else. Real nice to keep your local customers. I bought local for the convenience of having repairs/warranty work done locally. This business is horrible and highly dissatisfied and disappointed. Still awaiting a call from Ian. I would not recommend buying any of their trailers. Go to Western Skies RV or Sprads RV. read more

Awesome experience from Sales to finance and everything in between! When I first arrived I was greeted by Scott, he showed me every trailer I asked to see. He had no problem showing the same trailers a few times as I made my final decision. When walk through day came Allen was amazing! He answered all my questions and went over every inch of the trailer (including hooking it to my truck)! Allen never made me feel like I was asking silly questions, I greatly appreciate Allen's thoroughness and pointers for when I take out my new trailer. When it came to finance, Ian was excellent! Thanks to Scott I knew what to expect numbers wise, and Ian was able to get me financed at a LOWER interest rate than I was anticipating! Ian also answered all of my questions and went over all the paperwork in detail. Ian had no problem explaining (and re explaining) anything I didn't quite understand. My wife and I attended Dozens of RV Shows and Dealerships within 200 miles of our home in search of the right RV for us. Not the best RV in the world...we simply wanted the best RV suited to our lifestyle. By pure chance, we passed an RV show setting up and stopped in. The sales team was energetically moving RV's into the showground...yet took the time to make us feel welcome and opened up a couple units for us to view. Even though it was hours before show opening. They were a No-Pressure sales team...so much so, I don't even want to refer to them as sales...they acted more like personal ADVISORS on our behalf. They know that the majority of customers will walk away and continue shopping else ware - however they remained true to a no pressure interaction. THIS IS WHY WE CAME BACK FOR OUR PURCHASE. When we were ready to buy a month later, our second contact was exactly as the first, with excellent advice. We purchased a Forest River No-Bo No Boundaries 19.5. Very well build and appointed unit. Wife wanted this one due to ease of towing as she shares the duties behind the wheel. The entire financial transaction went very smoothly...just as expected and within a reasonable time frame. The financial manager walked us through all our questions and introduced us to the Parts and Service Department. If you read reviews of competitors, you will quickly realize that Parts and Service are often the weak link in the RV business...NOT AT CARSON CITY RV...They pride themselves in providing excellent point of sale support as well as follow up service. Our service technician performed the most thorough walk through and instruction anyone would desire. Answered all our questions and concerns and gave us helpful tips along the way. Buyer TIP: write down some of your concerns and questions prior to your walk through and take lots of notes...you dont want to miss any of the goodies they will share with you and you never know what interesting fact will surface to make your experience of RV-ing enjoyable. Their Carson City location is right off the HWY 580 Carson exit so dont make the mistake I did the first time... clipping along at a good speed...you might miss that first right hand turn into the dealership. If you do...resist the urge to pull in to the next dealer as I doubt their Advisors, Parts and Service will be comparable. Overall 5 STAR..on all issues...well worth the very easy drive. They are always trying to shift the blame saying "Well, what did you do to it"? HORRIBLE customer service!! They always say it fixed. Isn't that their job? While driving to go see family and Carson city we saw this lot from the freeway and had been looking for a travel trailer so we decided to stop in and just window shop. We met Scott as soon as we arrived on the lot and told him exactly what we were looking for, but that we weren't looking to purchase for a few more months. He was very patient and showed us every available option, even some with more options than we were looking for. We ended up finding the trailer of our dreams, and the price was incredible! After working with Scott we had a hard time not saying yes immediately because he showed us exactly what we wanted, worked with us to pay exactly what we wanted, and even threw in some freebies! So we said yes! Scott was amazing at explaining everything to us, and we came back the following week to finish up the paperwork, do the walk-through, and pick up the trailer. Alan was our guy for the walk-through and explained everything to us in depth, he had great customer service and a bubbly personality! We had our two kids with us, and he joked with them as well! Alan answered every question we had, and as new trailer owners there were a lot!!
