No Frills Service Center, but Winnebago recall work was performed in a timely manner as promised. Alex did an excellent job communicating via phone & emails. She explained the down time in obtaining parts, and we worked out good dates for drop off and work to be completed. My experience was well worth the extra drive after hearing nightmare stories of RV's being held hostage for several months at other service centers. Went in to look at a couple RVs in Carson City Michael Hohl, I will be retiring and traveling, asked the person if I could look inside 2 of the RVs that I would like to know the size inside. He informed me that it I wasn't buying an RV now it would cost him money to show me the inside of the rig, seems how they work for commission only. We purchased a trailer from Michael Hohl RV 11 months ago. Upon deliver to our residence it was discovered they had damaged it in transport and agreed to fix it. It is still not repaired! We keep calling and they keep giving us excuses on why they can fix it yet but they are trying. Michael Hohl RV Center is the only Winnebago authorized dealership in Carson City. So naturally, we were forced to take our RV to them for warranty work. In 2016, they completed the warranty work, but someone defecated in our RV. Because it had not yet been set up for use, after 3 days, the stench was awful. Every year we took our rig to Michael Hohl for routine service before trips, with the exception of 2020 when COVID prevented travel. In June, 2021, we made an appointment for service, oil change, filter, CO2 alarm replaced and tire pressure checked. We were told that they would need our RV for 3 days. Making an appointment did not mean they would work on it that day. After 3 days, we called them and were advised we needed a new oil pan, which they would need to order, because the oil plug just "spun" and they were unable to remove it. We informed them that if the plug was stripped, they did it as they had been the only people to work on the vehicle. They said we would need to take the RV to another Michael Hohl dealer because the didn't have any bays. We no longer trusted Michael Hohl RV to work on our rig, so they agreed to pay for the repair at a dealer of our choice. We took the rig to another repair service in Carson City who told us they were able to remove the plug and replaced it. We did NOT need a new oil pan. They also told us the oil had probably never been changed, the air filters had never been replaced, and they did the work we needed done. My advice is to never take you RV TO Michael Hohl RV Center. They are awful and don't care about their customers. They deserve to go out of business. read more

We purchased a 2019 Fleetwood Bounder from Michael Hohl in August of this year. The sales staff could not have been friendlier and helpful through out the transaction. We took said motorhome on a two week trip to northern Idaho and Oregon. During the trip, the shower pan leaked, the living room slide scraped and ripped the floor tile in several places, one of the leveling jacks started leaking hydraulic fluid, and numerous other minor issues surfaced. We returned from our trip, contacted Michael Hohl's RV service department in order to have the above mentioned items repaired. We dropped the motorhome off near the end of August. We were told it would take a few weeks to fix the broken/inoperative items repaired. In September, my wife received a call from one of the service department's employees inquiring if we wanted the windshield repaired as it was cracked and if we were going to contact our insurance company to file a claim. My wife pointed out that we delivered the motorhome to them with an intact windshield. She was then told to disregard and that Michael Hohl would take care of it. I received a call yesterday, 11/21/19, from the Warranty Manager stating our motorhome was ready to be picked up and all repairs had been made. Mind you our motorhome had been at Michael Hohl for over THREE months! I went to Michael Hohl Rv this morning to inspect my motorhome prior to taking it home. Much to my surprise, it was in fact not ready!!! The rubber gasket that is supposed to be installed around the outside of the windshield was missing!!! I declined to accept the motorhome and asked the service employee how much longer it was going to take to get the repairs made. She said the window gasket was ordered and should be here within the next two weeks!!! I left Michael Hohl and later called Fleetwood Customer Service to see if they could be of assistance. The customer service rep researched our warranty history and noted that warranty repair requests weren't filed with Fleetwood until the middle of October! In other words, our Motorhome sat on Michale Hohl's lot from the end of August to the middle of October before any work was done on it! It's November 22nd, and it's still not fixed!! WTF?? This place is horrible, if I had to do it all over again, I would of purchased from a dealer in Reno. Now we are stuck with this service center as there are no other Fleetwood authorized repair facilities in Northern Nevada! I would encourage anyone thinking of buying a RV from this dealership to go elsewhere!! They really suck!!! read more

I will begin by saying I'm a bit surprised by some of the negative reviews posted here. My wife and I recently purchased a new travel trailer from Michael Hohl RV in Carson City and received professional and courteous service from the sales, finance and service crews. The entire process was painless and efficient. Our sales person (Scott) was very knowledgeable about their inventory. He was thorough in explaining the features of the travel trailer we were considering. He was very helpful and friendly and was never pushy. The same goes for the finance manager (Jeff). He didn't twist our arms to buy supplemental products and did a lot of legwork to get us an outstanding interest rate. The service crew was outstanding. We were provided with the most thorough walkthrough we have ever received when buying a new RV. Because there is so much technology in the new units, I had a multitude of questions, but the young man who assisted us (Aaron) was very friendly and patient throughout. We discovered several problems that were fixed on the spot immediately. We had the wrong hitch for the unit as well so the service crew adapted our hitch with a new part which they discounted by 40 percent. They didn't have to do that. A lot of reviewers have complained about Michael Hohl providing preferential treatment to customers who purchased their units from them. That is a universal practice in this industry and is not unique to Michael Hohl RV. As a matter of fact, the Rockwood literature we received when we purchased our trailer had a message from the manufacturer advising customers to buy locally because licensed dealers are not obligated to provide service. I'll end by saying the entire crew at Michael Hohl treated us well. Based on our initial interactions, I anticipate that we will continue to receive excellent service if we need support in the future. read more

AVOID!!!!! A rating of one is generous. I wish there were negative ratings, because this so called RV service center is totally and incredibly horrible, inept, over priced and dishonest. Michael Hohl RV Center not only failed to service my rig correctly, but broke it in the process to the tune of $4625.00. Fortunately, a real RV repair shop undid their damage and we are now back in business. It is also important to point out that their parts department charges more than a 100 % markup on parts. I just bought an RV (30 ft trailer) from Hohl RV. After attending an RV trade show in Reno and visiting several RV dealers (we looked at a lot of trailers), I'm convinced I made the right choice. The entire experience with Hohl RV went very smoothly from start to finish. Our salesman, Josh, showed us everything we requested and made some excellent and straight forward recommendations to ensure we found something that exactly met our needs. His conscientious efforts resulted in our purchasing of a two year old Travel Trailer. The walk through on delivery day was the final step. I was truly amazed and pleased with the thoroughness of their Service Dept. What a great job they did in prepping the trailer and extra kudos to our service rep, Nestor, who did such a professional job explaining everything. We were treated like this was a brand new trailer and he made sure everything worked perfectly and to our satisfaction. I couldn't have been happier with the delivery of this trailer. By far the worse experience possible. Took our brand new motor home in for some warranty work. Prior to picking it up they called and said that a technician had side swiped our vehicle. Accident caused over $3700 in repairs. Advisor stated to me while I was trying to understand everything that "at least we told you, we could of had it fixed and not even told you. They did not report it to the insurance so I'm not sure what I do when I go to sell it or trade it in. The advisor said they were not reporting it so it won't show up on any CarFax reports. Felt this is unethical and not comfortable with it. Was told on 3 different occasions that it would be ready for pick up only to have it not ready and the only way I found out about it was by me calling them. Spoke with the service manager and explained all of this only to have another broken commitment not upheld and no call back. The cherry on top when I picked it up, the "new mirror" already has a scratch in it. Big surprise, the service manager and advisor were not there when I came to pick it up. I also don't know why over 40 miles were put on the vehicle when the repairs were done in house and at a body shop in town. Avoid this place. read more

On Friday December 20, 2019 I called Michael Hohl RV to look at an RV they had for sale. Scott one of their sales rep. answered and we agreed to meet on Sunday December 22, 2019 at noon. On Sunday I called and left a message that my wife and I are on our way down. When we got their no Scott!! We felt we were stood up, poor customer service!!! Luckily Daryl another rep. was their. Daryl took great care in showing us the RV. Daryl was very professional, friendly, courteous and made my wife and I feel very comfortable!! 100% Great service!! Told me they order a generator for me. 2 weeks later called me and said that generator was discontinued, tried to down grad me to lower model. I refused and mysteriously found one online guaranteed it would be here on the 12 of June. Now they said it will be here anytime between June 14-19th.
