I'm giving these guys a 5 star rating although I had some major problems. The key is that Brandon in service took care of all the issues. My wife and I bought a brand new Ford F150. We then found the perfect trailer at CCRV, a Forest River Evo. Chris, the salesman was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We came in to pick up the trailer. We needed a brake controller so while we were getting the orientation, they installed the brake controller. Here's where things went wrong. Somehow wires that control the electronics were damaged and the truck wouldn't run. The service staff had never seen this before, tried to fix it, but couldn't. So now we have a trailer and a brand new truck that doesn't run. Brandon was apologetic and told us the truck would have to be towed to the Ford dealer in Carson City where they could work on it. The Ford dealer fixed the wiring and set up a brake controller. After a week we were able to get the truck and pick up the trailer. But now we have two holes in the panel where the original brake controller was installed. Brandon worked with the Ford dealer to have a new panel ordered and installed. CCRV paid for all of the parts and repair to the truck. The service dept also thoroughly went over the process of dewinterizing and winterizing the trailer. We worked with four guys in service and they all were extremely helpful. It took awhile but we finally got the trailer out for a weekend and even though it was cold, we were happy with our purchase. And the truck runs like it's suppose to now. Thanks to CCRV for making things right! read more

Looking for a thermo coupler for the refrig and they wanted us to use their service rep at $110 hour. We knew it was the coupler. All we wanted was the part. They were hesitant without a part number. Offer is the service rep for 1/2 hpur. I asked if they even jas the part. They balked and sId they wouldnt lnow without the part number. I Gave them the part number and they did not even have it! "But the service might find it is not the thermo couple". Waste of My time. read more

We walked into Carson RV after walking away from a different dealer and we found ourselves with a lot more choices. Warren approached us in a very respectful manner not at all pushy or intrusive. We asked him a few questions and he answered honestly (I've already done my research) he showed us exactly what we were looking for. Simple paperwork and we were scheduled for pickup and orientation a week later. At our orientation we had a very knowledgeable gentleman named Doug walk us through everything we needed to know. We finalized everything with Ian, who went over every aspect of our purchase and warranties. Over all this was the easier than buying a car! In and out with our new travel trailer in an hour. The crew at Carson City RV is the best, right down to the parts team! What a great experience and now we're ready to hit the road and get outdoors. Update ..... air conditioning ducts not cut out, vent had been removed so it's obvious Carson RV had checked it out but not repaired it! Toilet doesn't work well, water in the walls and not vented, smells horrible and leaks, called manufacturer and we were told it sounds like it wasn't vented.... bathroom wall has been patched so again it seems someone checked out the issue! Slide is still not right, it's bowed and uneven so was never repaired, heater doesn't work, drawers don't close, holes on walls around all the blinds that should have been filled...we have not been able to use our new RV due to so many problems! Does anyone know of an attorney we can contact in regards to our purchase? $44k $3k in warranties and we can't get anyone to look at it or fix it! Again! This is a brand new Trailer! It's one problem after another! We have been working directly with Forest River, however the law suit will be with Carson RV for Fraud, we don't believe this was actually a new rig! After we decided to look as far as Yuba City for a trailer, I had a few questions about one I had liked at carson rv and wanted to compare specs before we pulled the trigger. The salesman that answered was Chris and he was so helpful and knowledgeable. He looked up the trailer I was comparing to the one they had and told me the differences, he didn't bash the other brand and push his on me or make up facts, he actually took the time to look things up and provide accurate information. This was a huge difference from Our last sales man who told me the price difference on the same model was due to absolutely no difference but because they forgot to change the tags when in actuality the difference was a powered awning. Or when I asked him to measure the total length of the trailer so we could make sure it fit in our driveway and he kept saying "about 21.5" and I kept saying "No, I need from tip to tip, tip of the trail hitch to the tip of the spare tire" and instead of going out and checking he'd repeat "ya ya thats 21.5" well guess what? It was 23! But Chris was such a pleasure to deal, honest and informed that we actually decided to have him put an offer in on one of their trailers. He negotiated for us, got the total cost where we needed it and we decided to go ahead and buy from them despite our first two visits. We then toured the trailer with a service tech who was also wonderful and incredibly knowledgeable! We quickly began to realize that it was just one bad fruit in the bowl. This was only confirmed When we dealt with Ian in finance who couldn't have been more pleasant. The manager even made to sure to check in with us before we left. Very unprofessional. We went 30 miles out of our way to see an RV at their lot. JEFF confirmed it was there when we called in advance. Two hours later when we got there he said it was moved to Reno but did not bother to call us back. It probably was not there in the first place. Tried to tell us about another RV but we just left. Do not do any business with this dealership. They are unprofessional and completely incompetent, wasting both my time and money. I took in my palomini to be serviced. 4 warranty items needed to be address. Scott is the service manager...seemed helpful at first. .. After I picked up the trailer I found each item was worse than before: 1) The bathroom door would occasionally get locked by itself. ..after they "fixed" it it locked permanently so I needed to take the door off at the hinges to get it open. .. 2) The front door wouldn't lock because it was missaligned... After they supposedly fixed I tried the lock at the dealership and it was not fixed at all... So they quickly scrambled to fix it while I waited ...since then the door has locked itself twice without warning. .. Good thing we have a spare key... 3) the gray and black tank indicator lights were originally wired in incorrectly. After I picked up the trailer now the black water indicator doesn't work at all and always shows empty. 3) the paneling on the outside of the bathroom had come undone and was sticking out. They supposedly fix this one but not only is it still sticking out but now it's full of holes and skuff marks. Then this happened: Justin in parts was initially helpful in trying to get me some replacement parts. He ordered me a new lock for the bathroom door telling me it match the original lock. He told me he would give me a $10 discount if I turned in the bad lock they had installed.but when I went in to do the exchange Justin was not in and the old man at the counter did not believe me regarding the $10 discount, pretty much calling me a liar because Justin had failed to warn anybody about the deal. I asked to speak with the manager, Beau, who honored the discount. Now that I had a chance to speak with the manager directly I shared my grievances with him about all the things that had gone wrong with the service and parts departments. He pretty much shrugged his shoulders and didn't do a single thing to help the situation. When I called Justin today to let him know that he had ordered me the wrong lock he said that he refused to help me because i "made a stink " about their bad service with the manager Beau, who apparently instead of addressing the situation with his incompetent workers made me to look like the bad guy. Now I have no lock on my bathroom door, no indicator for my black water tank, an unreliable front door lock, and a wall that bulges out with scuff marks and holes. ..thanks a lot, Justin, Scott, Beau, hope your proud of the top notch service you provided your customer. read more

Wonderful experience purchasing an rv here. Justin was an excellent salesman and answered every question we had. They threw in 2 new batteries, two new propane tanks and the new Andersen wdh for free. Almost 800 dollars in new stuff for free. Plus a 50 dollar gift card. We just had the BEST experience at Carson City RV. From our initial contact with Mike in sales, to Daniel in service who took us through an extensive run through of our entire rv inside and out, to our final (and quick) interaction with Ian in finance, this transaction couldn't have been more pleasant, smooth, and best of all quick! They say they make you feel like family ,and that's what we felt like. There was no pressure, lots of inventory and choices, well informed sales, a nice atmosphere to wait in (we had our 2 year old grandson with us), knowledgeable parts department, I could actually go on... We chose this dealership because of the great reviews and have not been disappointed so far. We've only had this rig for about 5 days so we haven't needed to use the service department, but I've read good things about that department too, unlike several other dealership reviews we read. We drove back to California and had no problems other than a loose latch on the refrigerator. We'll see how the warranty works for getting this fixed. read more

We purchased a new Highland Ridge RV from them last February when they had an RV show at the Reno Livestock Events Center; this is by far the best 5th quality wheel manufacturer we've run into here in northern Nevada. The experience was a good one and the folks we met were friendly and helpful. A friend of ours also purchased a used 5th wheel from them last fall and also had a good experience. We had gone to other local dealers in the past, who wouldn't give us the time of day when they found out we were just browsing (the exception being Sprad's RV in Reno, who will also get our business in the future if they carry the brands we like). read more

There simply isnt enough room for me type how incredibly amazing everyone is at Carson City Rv. From start to finish the manager- Joe- and his employees were nothing but helpful and honest throughout the entire experience. My dad and I had stumbled upon this dealership after a long day of seeing some rather sketchy rigs in the Reno area. Joe walked us around the dealership and pointed out trailers near our price range that had everything I needed. He was honest about everything and did a great job at keeping in mind that whatever I was going to purchase was going to be my new "house on wheels". At the end of the day we just couldnt walk away from the deal Chris and Joe handed us. From the quality of the mattress to allowing me to store the trailer on the lot till I was ready to move it, everything was done so perfectly on their end, Ive never had such a smooth purchasing experience as I did with them. I was walked through the trailer, everything was explained slowly, buttons were pushed, switches were turned on and off, and then it was even delivered to me 2 months later. We recently purchased an Econ RV from this dealer. I would say that the service is pretty darn good. This can be a shady business, but these people are really ok and all of the staff show a real interest in the customer and are involved with your satisfaction. Our vehicle was delivered a little late, but not the dealer's fault. It was cleaned and prepared for us very nicely. They had a staff member explain all of the operational procedures and quirks of RV'ing. The manager even gave us his cel phone number and told us to call him any time with questions. all in all a pretty good experience. The dealer even gives you a $50 gift certificate with your purchase to buy accessories in their store! Their accessories are also reasonably priced. read more

Found the perfect 5th wheel for my husband and I. I contacted the amazing sales person Warren, and started working with him, I sent pictures of our current trailer to start the trade in process. We went in and Warren was off work, so we worked with Chris who after we thought we were starting to work a deal proceeded to tell us that we 1. couldn't afford to buy the 5th wheel we wanted (fyi no credit check was done) and 2 that we were playing games because he found that someone in the Reno Store had pictures of our RV (from the previous texts with Warren) and said we were trying to lot hop for better prices. Well both of those statements are NOT true. When we tried to discuss this with Joe the General Manager, he was rude, yelling at me and just wanted to know what we wanted out of this. Well as my husband explained we want NOTHING! We wanted to make him and the dealership aware of how they are treating customers and how we are being judged. , that they lost a sale and we would never in our lives recommend them to anyone. We have already found the same exact model and are purchasing it at another dealership. So I guess if you don't mind being called a liar, being judged by how you look or what you look like, what they think you can afford and/or being yelled at by sales staff.. read more

Let me start by saying that when we bought our 5th wheel from these guys we thought we were getting taken care of. We bought the extended warranty since we were buying used. When we went to pick up our rig the generator would not stay running. We took delivery with the promise that they would get it running for us. I made an appointment to get it fixed and they supposedly fixed it. We went camping and sure enough the generator failed. I called them when we got home and they told me I had to claim it on the warranty since we already took delivery. The kicker is, he proceeded to tell me they have nobody that can even work on a generator. I am no generator mechanic either but after a little bit of googling and simple tests recommended on Youtube I diagnosed the problem myself. Once again I call the Service Department and told them that it looks like it's the fuel pump and would like to have them replace it. I even offered to use the warranty and pay the deductible to them. Their answer "sorry we have nobody that does generator work so you have to take it to Reno to have it worked on". I told them that my deductible was more to take to somewhere else besides the place of purchase plus not to mention the gas to tow it to Reno. I told him I already did the hard part and diagnosed it for them and all they had to do was put the fuel pump on. The Service Manager said he would talk to his boss and get back to me. I asked him when I would hear back from him. He said "In a couple of days for sure. I have a note right here on my keyboard". Well, it's two weeks later and I still haven't heard back from them! The good news is, I found the fuel pump online cheaper than the deductible on the warranty and fixed it myself. The bad news is, I didn't get paid 100-something dollars an hour to replace it. This dealer does not stand behind their product and warranty. You will probably have to take it elsewhere to get it fixed if it is not a basic repair. It is disappointing to find out that once you buy a product from this dealer that you are on your own after the purchase even if you buy the extended warranty. Not to mention that if you take delivery of your rig and something is wrong, you get one shot to have it fixed right or it will have to go to warranty or fix it yourself.
