My husband has gone to Carson Dermatology for several years. He is absolutely happy with their services.

I made my appointment with the PA (physicians assistant) since it was faster to get and I had no know issues.

i had my third PRP facial 2 days ago and my skin looks fine, even wo any make up. At 59 I think my…read moreskin looks pretty good. I dont look 40 or even 50. But I look great for 59. a mani-pedi once a month is what this costs me, and this lasts the yr. so that's a valuable present to myself. The procedure is pretty fast and hardly painful at all, for me. The staff is lovely. Thoughtful and considerate. I only met one person that seemed cold, aloof maybe. Dr Salm did a Mohs surgery on my forehead and did a wonderful job! The scar is barely noticeable. And he said I cud come in and get it lasered for free. But it's so faint it doesn't seem worth the trouble. In addition to his skill, he just seems like the nicest man. The staff that assisted him that day, I can't praise them enough for their genuine care.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I've had multiple terrible experiences at this office with…read moreseveral providers. The office is old and filthy with the most unsanitary medical practices. I've worked in ski clinics that are cleaner. The provider misdiagnosed my son's skin bumps as warts and was ready to freeze dozens of spots. A second opinion found them to be caused by eczema and his skin was cleared completely with non invasive treatment. I've heard several horror stories of skin samples being tossed in the trash, instead of being sent for biopsy and the list goes on. It's so unfortunate that Tahoe doesn't have better dermatology care!

An excellent surgeon and professional and pleasant office. Dr Rowe is a very knowledgeable and…read morehighly skilled Mohs skin doctor. He treated my bcc on my nose and I expect excellent results. I was able to talk to other patients who also had great results with their skin cancers. He is extremely well thought of and we are fortunate to have such a doctor in our area. His Mohs treatment center is very comfortable and his staff are caring and helpful.

Love to wait 30-40 minutes for a scheduled appointment; be treated with hostility and condescension…read moreby the attending nurse; lack of reasonable explanations when appropriate concerns are voiced; multiple infections on a simple surgical site - this is the place for you. Complications happen with medical procedures, what is unacceptable is a lack of professionalism, compassion and integrity when dealing with them. A simple basal cell carcinoma removal has resulted in a seven week nightmare: two infections (one staph), two sets of painful injections to reduce scar tissue, and sanding the incision site to fix what the two sessions of injections did not fix. Currently the surgical site is still not healed. Many of the problems could have been prevented if adequate post surgical care instructions had been given by nurse Lynne (my husband had accompanied me to each procedure hearing what was included and omitted) or if phone calls regarding the second infection were promptly returned. When the issues were calmly presented to Dr. Rowe, he questioned my GP's ability to diagnose an infection, and defended his nurse - all but implying we were lying. Finally, he spat out; "you can hate my guts but your outcome will probably be fine." I don't enter a medical office looking for companionship - I'm seeking a professional service delivered professionally. If you are looking for the same - take your business down the road - there is another skin cancer office there - I hear they are quite good.
