When my husband I first started going to the Carson Hot Springs there was no hourly limit... stay as long as you like!! To be truthful I miss the good old days. Now it's 2 hour stay. If you want to stay longer you have to pay another entry fee for an additional 2 hours. My husband and I checked in. We bought a 10 visit pass awhile back so it was nice it still had visits on it. Really that's the way to go! Pay for a pass for 5 years. Because the price is always going up!!! I really love the remodel. They have two mineral pools and two jacuzzi pools with jets outside! They are all community pools. They have three hammer heads to enjoy. There is a 5 min limit. I wish people would obey the signs! No jumping in. No splashing and no loud talking! They have about 10 private pools if you're interested for a slightly higher fee and no noise. They have lounge chairs and regular chairs to use while enjoying the community pools. There is a men and women's locker room. The ladies room has 3 private shower stalls. Two stand up hair dryers. About 4 private bathroom stalls. A couple benches to use while getting dressed. It's best to bring your own towel, although they do have towel service, cold drinks. Snacks & noodles for sale too! You can bring your own noodle or blow up device. No throwing balls. No coolers or alcohol allowed. They do let you bring your own food and thermal water bottles in. The staff are really good, you must check in at the front desk!!! sometime there is a line to get in! I recommend going early!! The afternoon lines can get real long and you have to wait for others to leave!! It's a great place to enjoy a moment of relaxation. By the way they empty the pools every night. Stop by & check it out!!!

Carson Hot Springs is a staple in the community and has been around longer than time itself, it seems. My wife and I go here about once a year to take advantage of the large outdoor hot springs pools. There is nothing better than a hot tub on a chilly Northern Nevada day. The facility is made up of small locker rooms, some saunas, a few private indoor pools, and a large outdoor patio and area made up of four hot springs pools at varying temperatures. Two of the pools are kept very hot and are jetted. What a treat! The other pools are warm but not over 100 degrees. They do allow children here and it's a public hot spring with an entry fee of less than $20 per person, so if you're looking for a spa like experience, this isn't quite it. But, for less than $20 and two hours of hot spring time, its a great value and totally worth an occasional visit. You are welcome to bring your own snacks and beverages here, but no glass or alcohol. Picture it- a calm snowy day sitting in a beautiful jetted hot springs pool sitting at a temp of 104. Just perfect!

I really enjoy these hot springs, the pools are hot enough to relax in for a couple of hours. On the night I went with some friends, the pools were between 101-103 degrees. It was the perfect temp to be able to relax for awhile without overheating. On a cool evening it feels so good to soak in the geothermal mineral water under the stars. There are many options for outdoor pools, the temp is displayed on a monitor in the office. A dry sauna is available with the outdoor pool price. Private indoor pools are available as well, they tend to run a little warmer. Those also get you access to the outdoor pools. After you get out of the pool you can warm up by the firepit and complete your relaxing evening. The neighborhood is very quiet and you will enjoy your time here!

Great place to visit just 30 minutes south of Reno. Multiple clean pools, great ambiance, good eats next door and leaves your body feeling relaxed and your skin so soft and smooth. A great treat for the whole family!!

We enjoy visiting here. We bring bottled water to keep hydrated. They have water fountains around. You can also visit the general pool area. We like the private rooms so that we can relax without being bothered. There is a time limit and it's a very simple setup with a bench to sit up top and walk down the stairs into the 100 degree plus water. It's very relaxing. Restrooms and private showers are available. Service was very friendly and helpful. Stalls are cleaned between uses. Follow on social media to get deals.

4.5 stars, nice location with 4 outdoor pools, water features and plenty of seating. I wish that one of the pools had some semblance of shade. There were some awnings for the lounge chairs but it would be nice to have some shade while soaking. I do like the fact they have towels you can rent & snacks/drinks if needed. Pretty affordable & fun!

This was a last minute trio as our original hit spring canceled last minute. We arrived and had a few people in front of us. They were having people hang out outside, thankfully it wasn't too hot just yet. Prices were reasonable, dressing room with shower, and several soaking options. There were two pools and two sitting pools. Overall we had a great experience and would go again!

I absolutely loved the time that I spent here. For my first time I decided to try out the outdoor pools and patio areas. It was very nice, clean, spacious, and not very crowded on a Wednesday afternoon. I did not visit the main pool outside of the front desk window, but all of the other three pools out there were perfectly temperatured and relaxing. The staff could have been nicer and more professional though. And the bathroom could use some rethinking when it comes to changing out of swim attire. I changed in one of the private stalls, but there was no drain for the water to go. Regardless, I can't wait to come back many more times for relaxation and to try out the individual indoor pools.

We heard about this place while in South Lake Tahoe. The main pool is drained and re-filled every day, keeping the water clean. There is no sulfur smell or sediment on the bottom of the pool or hot tubs. The pool had a lot of people, but we were also a large group, so we didn't notice the crowds. No alcohol allowed, which is a good thing. Bring some water as you'll get dehydrated without knowing it. A lot of people go here regularly for the health benefits of the mineral baths. We've been to other hot springs in the area, but after visiting here, we plan on going back to the other places and do some comparisons.

How the road drive to hot springs?

Seems like everything little thing is itemized. So, if we pay for the private 2 hour usage, are we also to use the outside communal pools all day? And are there places nearby for walks & what's the closest place to get some fruit and produce , etc?

The closest place for fruit with Walmart. And there is a very nice park, the Ronald Wilson Park off of Emerson about a half mile from the Hot Springs

We were greeted by a young man at the lobby who checked us in promptly. We went to our rooms and like some of us, first thing we wanted to check was the condition of the room. It gives off simple charm but we peeled back the layers of the bedding and were instantly met with disgust. There was a sheet that had dried blood on it and there was no mistaking what it was. There were other stains on each sheet as well as the comforter. We checked out the second bed, and while it wasn't as bad, it still had random stains all over the sheets. We had friends that took the room next to us and upon informing them of what we found, they looked at their bed and had similar experiences. The floors also were in desperate need of replacement as they have dark stains all over. I can understand that hotels will have some stains from time to time, but it was a bit excessive. The hallways also are in very poor shape but they at least hung a sign saying that they were aware of the carpet and were in the process of replacement. I guess I don't know exactly how long those signs have been present but I guess they don't need to be in any rush as "there is a sign". We went down to the front desk and they young man did offer a new room or new bedding. We just took the fresh linens and changed the bed ourselves. Later on, we went to take a shower and couldn't help but notice that there were only two full towels even though we have two full queen size beds and 4 people, but I guess it's assumed that you only need one towel per adult? I'm not certain, but once again had to call the front desk and they said they would come up and provide additional towels. Sure enough, in 10 minutes there was a knock at the door and the young man was there with additional towels. I jokingly looked at him and said, "Are you the only one working here in the hotel tonight?" as he was the only one that helped us several times and he said, "basically yes I am the only one here and I get off at 10 where another person comes in to replace me". Mind you, he was young and I would guess about 22 years of age, but to be running the entire hotel on his own seemed just unfair. The best part of this experience is that on their sign outside of the Inn, they actually say "Impeccably clean rooms", which really couldn't be further from the truth. Sadly, you get what you pay for and these rooms were very affordable but I don't think anyone wants to lay their heads down on someone else's dried blood.

This has been a family owned Business since the very first day I walked through the door and this visit I finally met one of the brothers who owns the place, Tedsh. He has a twin brother Dominick. The owner informed me their cousin who use to run the front desk who was my absolute favorite, Gurnay is going to nursing school! I miss her so much! She and I had a special connection and she was always so welcoming and made my stay extra special. The brothers are trying to update the Hardman House and make it authentic and not a Holiday Inn! They want to keep the prices at good value for all travelers. They have started on the remodel which has begun from the top slowing working their way down. Every time I stay there, I see improvements, all new bedding, custom mattresses exclusively for the hotel, Egyptian linens same as the Landing at Tahoe. Brand new roof and internet upgrades for Wi-Fi and televisions. They're in the process of remodeling the 3rd floor which is my favorite rooms. This time I stayed in Room 217 and it was different than my usual room. It was nice and roomy with a view of the buildings next door and not too noisy. Yes, the place is a bit run down and they have signs saying pardon our carpets in the hallways which are super old and unpleasant to look at. I can't wait for the new carpets and drapes!!!! In with the new and out with the old! You will have the comfort of your bed which is a beautiful thing and you will be well rested. They do have wine and cookie hour in the evenings and a small continental breakfast. The breakfast could be more appealing, maybe supporting one of the local bakeries in town would be a nice touch and moving the breakfast choices back to the table instead of on the end of the countertop. I look forward to my next stay this summer, hopefully on the 3rd floor with a nice fresh look and feel. I do love that they have underground parking which is a plus! You need to be mindful of the removal of old toilets, beds, and microwaves as they make improvements to the property. They be gone soon enough.
