Cabin #2 nestled in the trees.

We were lucky enough to snag a reservation at Trout Lake Cozy Cabins while my husband was hiking the PCT and I was section hiking a portion of it with him (August, 2019). For some reason the area was very busy that weekend, and lodgings were hard to book at the last minute. We had cabin #2, which was immaculate, sported a loft area with one queen bed, and also had an additional Murphy bed to fit additional folks if needed. We were able to roll up to our cabin and find a key in the lock "Trout Lake style." No one was in the front office, but Chrissy, the proprietor, was very accommodating and kind, and even drove over some laundry soap for us since there was none available in the laundry room. The wifi worked fine, as did the TV. We also had a small porch and BBQ gas grill (which we did not use) and picnic table outside, which was beautifully maintained, with a gorgeous view of Mt. Adams in the distance. Add a small, but functional kitchen (sink, fridge, microwave), a jacuzzi tub, and the fact that these were pet-friendly accommodations, makes me definitely want to return again and again.

Location location location! These cabins are cute and cozy with an amazing view of Mt Adams. Whether you are stay a night or a week it is worth the drive from Vancouver or Portland!

Perfect place to bring your dog over the 4th of July as it's quiet and peaceful and you barely hear anything. We were lucky enough to stay in cabin 4 which was quiet. Plenty of space to help you relax for a few days. TV and WiFi are available too when you need to take a break from hiking. The only reason why I am taking off a star is the hot water in the sink was too hot that I almost burned myself.

Great little cabins, we really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and had great linens! I loved the down duvet and heavy quilt. Very cozy, although the gas fireplace kept us plenty warm. The kitchenette had the essentials for basic cooking and the bathroom was huge. The towels were soft and the jetted tub rocked! We stayed in cabin #4, the pines which contrary to the website isn't really more secluded, it is the 4th cabin from the road, but it was fine, nice place to get away without roughing it. Improvements I'd like to see are as follows 1. Plush bathrobes 2. Real plug for tub 3. Nicer table and chairs 4. Rug for in front of the fireplace 5. Timer for coffeemaker 6. I recommend they remove the air conditioners for the winter and re install in summer, cold air and some road noise came through that window. We would stay again for sure! Lots of nature to explore here!! So beautiful!!

Nice, clean, spacious cabins in a quiet location. Well furnished. Nice little window AC that got the job done on a hot summer day. All the amenities (TV, cable, DVD, microwave, sink, gas fireplace) of city life in the country. Kind of a 'you're on your own' place with nobody minding the store (they just leave the key in the door for when you show up). Minus one star for wifi that doesn't work.

View from the outdoor seating while we waited for our made to order pie! Indoor seating available too.

We had two adults, one teenager and two dogs, and managed just fine in the space of the cabin. We were stoked to find that our soft-sided dog crates (our MVP purchase of 2025 btw) fit PERFECTLY on the ledge so we all slept so peacefully! The cabin is appointed perfectly, from all the little personal extras, to the well-placed placards that give you all the info you need... we didn't want for a thing! We picked up bread at the White Salmon Baking Co and made perfect bougee Brie, pear and fig paninis and butternut squash soup in the kitchenette, hiked trails with the pups, sat by the fire and made s'mores... it had snowed the night before so it was a veritable winter wonderland! The communication with the host was perfect, check in and out was a breeze. We felt safe, cozy, and perfectly detached from the world. Will absolutely return!

There's a little trail connected to the property and was nice for a little stroll with our dogs! Everything felt clean! We took quick showers and never encountered the loss of heat. Wish there were more trails nearby, but you don't have to drive too long to get to one or go to Conboy Lake Nature Reserve. This place would maybe be more popular if there was a creek or some sort body of water accessible like most of the campsites we've been to in Oregon. Not complaining, though! Small town of Glenwood nearby has a shop you can buy some grocery items and firewood ($3 cheaper than the logs at the cabin). We live in NoPo and near a busy street so it was nice to get away from traffic sounds, escape the bustle and doom scroll of what's happening in the news every day (no cell phone service). It's like scoring a yurt but without the stress of navigating camp registration pages. A lot of negative reviews surrounding cancellations, but the user agreements are explicit. Our interactions with PC were great: was able to connect to satellite through my phone and text PC with any questions we had and received prompt and friendly responses (e.g. had a question about locking the door and another about checkout times).

I booked our stay at Tenzen Springs after throughly reading as many reviews as possible. I always…read morelike to know what I can expect and prepare myself for the cons. Prior to booking I knew there were 3 "issues". The first one being the nearby train tracks. Second, the sulfur smell from the tub. Last being the comfortability of the beds. My review is based on cabin 4, which is the ADA cabin and is a slightly larger layout. Upon arrival, the instructions were extremely simple. The cabin was immaculate and we were both pleasantly surprised by all of the amenities and smart design choices that made a seemingly small space feel larger. We had opted to eat most meals at the cabin and packed a cooler with our refrigerated items. The kitchen was adequately stocked for 2 people. Absolutely no issues there. Tenzen Springs provides assorted Starbucks coffee K-cups, teas and sweeteners. The Keurig coffee maker is simple to use. They even provided a small container of milk, which I hadn't thought to bring and was extremely thankful for it. The instructional videos that Tenzen Springs provides made it very simple to figure out how to work the air conditioner, steam shower, tub, stovetop, etc. Okay, first con is the noise from the train. I was prepared for it and you should be, too. I knew that it would be barreling past us in the middle of the night and I am an extremely light sleeper. The first night, I used white noise on my iPad. That did not drown it out enough so on our second night I used the ear plugs. That did a better job but I still heard the train. It seems like it is every 3 hours or so. Did I let it ruin my time? Nope. The second con is the sulfur smell. After reading one review, I was seriously prepared for the worst. So I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it's really not that bad and you only smell it when you're in the tub area. The third con is the bed. Being a mattress snob, I can see why folks complain. The mattress is not the best, but it is far from the worst. And we did not book the cabin based on how comfortable the bed is. The bedding, however, is perfect and quite cozy. We slept fine both nights and woke up with the intent of soaking in the tub as soon as possible. I must say, the pros outweigh the cons at Tenzen Springs. We soaked our cares away and felt like we were completely secluded. We walked the grounds at sunset and saw a breathtaking beauty that we don't get day to day. It was awe inspiring and made us extremely thankful for the experience, even if it was just for the weekend. Tenzen Springs has put obvious thought into the perfect placement of the cabins to make you feel secluded as well as mowing walking paths out to benches overlooking the gorge and hammocks placed perfectly in the shade. We used our time to reflect and reset and came out of it completely recharged. We cannot wait to go back. Thank you Tenzen Springs for an unforgettable weekend.

This is where you need to stay! What can I say? Came here for two nights. Did a few things in the surrounding area but my mind was on the cabin. This is truly a tranquil space. Keep in mind, it is a shared space with other cabins, but nonetheless, it's a beautiful tranquil spot. Nestled in the hilltop, you'll wake up to deer and wild turkeys most likely, as we did. Just a relaxing and calm environment. We stayed at Cabin #5. To me, this was the best cabin with views. You can see water through the trees a bit, as well as the forest trees beyond. With a private geothermal soaking tub, you're sure to just melt all your cares away. Plus, the outdoor shower will help you rinse off before getting in. This was a nice touch to my stay. Then, the tiled shower acts as a steam-room with a touch of a button. How unique!! They provide new packaged slippers for you to use in cabin, as well as flip flops to be used if you choose around the cabin deck. The bed was amazing. Each night I slept like a baby. They have two reading lights, so it was nice to read a few pages before bed. Also, there's two electric outlets on each side of the bed in case you need to charge phone or anything within arm's reach. Well ventilated by fan, or you have option to use remote controlled A/C fan. On the premises you'll find many instagrammable photo opportunities. Also, you'll find a few walking paths that lead to some benches under a beautiful tree to relax, or you can relax with views of the Gorge in another spot. Also, there's two hammocks in a shady area if you want to use to take a nap. Also, a unique touch. You'll have your own parking space and I even saw electrical outlets in case you have electric vehicle. All in all, this has been my favorite AirBnB and I've stayed at several. I did not want to leave. Even on the day we had a packed itinerary to leave and do activities, I made sure to be back early to enjoy this space. I am so glad I did. Just a beautiful place. If you're driving to this place, Google will drop you off half way there, but keep driving a bit and you'll see the Tenzen signage. Use your access code provided and you're in!

The design of the hotel is really neat - it's in a restored school building and they lean into that with lockers still in the hallway and things like that. I came here during the week while working so spent a lot of time just hanging out in the hotel lobby, which was very comfy and cozy with a fireplace going. The spa was really nice. Again, not huge or fancy, but a great value. With your stay you get one hour reserved per day (free), including the days you check in and out, and can also ask to soak additional times if there is space. On my first night, I had booked the last hour they're open, and they texted me saying I could come an hour early if I wanted since there was plenty of room. There's a warm pool and a cold plunge inside, as well as a sauna, and a hot tub outside. I was nervous it was going to be a strict one-hour time limit, but they didn't seem to care. Caveat though, I also did come during the week so it was probably less busy than average. I was cheap and stayed in one of the bunk rooms. They're like fancy hostel accommodations. I generally don't like hostels but I liked it here. The beds are super comfy and sturdy, linens and towels provided, and there are curtains around each bed, as well as a light switch, outlets, and a storage area at the head of the bed. The lights in the room turn off at 10 and it was very quiet the whole time I was here. There were probably only 5ish other people in the room though that could technically fit 24. There are ample bathrooms outside the room; they're all single bathrooms with their own showers and were very clean every time I used them. Access to the spa is the same, and I paid $35 a night, which was a crazy deal considering I saw local people coming just for the spa which is also $35 for a single hour if you're not staying here. I had never been to this area before, and I loved it! I took the Amtrak here from Portland (which was only $7!) and drops off less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Transportation options once you're in town are pretty limited, but there is a public shuttle system that's $1 a ride - I took it to nearby White Salmon one day for lunch and on the way back they just dropped me off right at the hotel. Bingen itself really isn't much, and not a ton of food options. White Salmon was just a tad bigger and really close. While I didn't make it there, looks like Hood River just across the bridge is a little more happening. I did eat in the hotel lobby a few times, and the food was fine, although breakfast was pretty overpriced. The evening happy hour with $9 cocktails/wine was good though! If you're looking for a fun/different experience, I really recommend The Society Hotel. I loved my midweek getaway here - and they offer discounts for weeknight stays!
